Everything would be corrected for everyone, if BW just #MakeEveryoneAsari. Players would get a pansexual PC and NPC cast, and BW would get to beat their dicks all day long bc #AsariMasterRace. I want a real asari commando! Not cora who is basically a weaboo but the asari version.

Funny thing is that I would have expected Cora to be bi; not because of some nonsense about women's choice of hairstyle "queer-coding" them, but because she seems to be culturally quite asari, which I see less as weebing and more esprit de corps built through trauma. (No, this is not a call for a romance hashtag.)

This may be sarcasm but this is all i'm seeing all over every thread and comment section about romances, straight guys want Suvi. Poor them. :lmfao: YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I HAD TO ENDUUUUUUUURE... *drops to knees, raises hands to the sky in a WHYYYY gesture* Hey! Bring your own! Suvi was an option for Scott once upon a time. Makes me wonder if they removed that because it better suited the character, or because a suit said so. I'm playing sisRyder for Suvi. I'm OK with this. Only because I looked up romance spoilers before playing, though. If I'd made broRyder and trusted there would be a hetero option I would like, I would be displeased. This. Rolling an NG+ for Suvi. Liam stays my canon, because I wanted a straight Ryder. Seriously, it gets repetitive if every single one of the protagonists you play is a woman... that also prefers women. (Plus teenage fantasies have to end eventually, yes.) That said, Suvi is like the perfect girl, so if you ever manage to yell out a change, well - good for all of us. I'm watching. And playing Sara Ryder.

To be honest, instead of blaming the gay people, it's often the straight group that got offended over the playersexual. I barely see gay player got upset set DA2 simply because there wasn't any gay characters in DA or ME up to that point, and they simply having 1 more option. It was the straight players who said "eww... Anders hitting on me". Bioware has never made a bisexual character in the history of the company, they made playersexual, their options were made for the opposite gender first, Kaidan scenes were basically modified from femShep, Reyes was even more obvious with Ryder looking up at the sky, Ryder sway his hip and pop out his ass, Vetra called Scott Reyes' queen and baroness, obviously from Sara. I honestly could give a damn about everyone being playersexual because the number of gay options would never change, regardless of which method they take, DAO, 1 bi, 2 straights, DA2 2 gay 3 straight for females, DAI 2 gay 4 straight females option (In a game where the majority of the options are guys, the gays still have 2 options), ME1 and 2, no gay option, ME3 1 gay nonsquadmate CC face and a bi option modded from female, gay options will always be less than other groups but with playersexual, at least, our quality would increase because it wasn't an afterthought like with Gil which has half the content, no squadmate and CC face. This is not just a sudden explosion, it was an accumulation of all the game so far and especially with ME Andromeda instead of progressing, it's regressing. Nope. I'm gay and I absolutely detest playersexuality. Characters should be written as characters first with all the traits and nuances that goes with them, instead of a part of their character being ignored for the sake of players.

Someone in another thread said that she specifically has dialogue in banter or something about not being interested in women or asari, which I didn't get in my playthrough. As to 'changing', for the bulk of human history sexuality was considered fluid; strict sexual orientations are a much more modern construct and they're starting to fade away in the study of sexuality again.

So now that straight characters are not about them being straight but gay characters are all about them being gay, gay conversion, gay in the closet, fag hag, gay husband, gay obligation to reproduce, etc. They can't just have stories related to the world at large, they can't just motivate by the desire to save the world or some personal goal. It has to relate to them being gay. They have yet to make a bisexual male and the gay characters are all about being gay instead of just happen to be gay. How I wish for a character like Cullen or Danse which has no focus their sexualities and motivated by their own personal goal who just happen to like men. I'm not sure why it's so hard for Bioware to make.

And what you mean? Because the sexuality of a character really don't make any difference unless you made his sexuality important in his history like dorian's. That's why i think is better playersexual, all have the same character with the same contents.

Jokes aside, I'm all for making everyone bi. Even as a gay guy I can attest to Suvi being bae As an aside can we all just take a second to laugh at how much work these people put into the Cora romance just for people to want Suvi instead? I find that so lulz worthy.

I'm a gay male but would romance Suvi if I had the chance. I'm for more options, not less.
IMO they should have all been bi and let people go towards the people they feel the best connection with.

Seriously though, #MakeDrackRomance. There's a one time flirt option with him later on which made me freaked out a little hahaha and pressed it. Also he lies down next to me during the movie night, I like to think there's a fling.

There was a lot of this on the old forums about how Sera should've been Bi (or straight).
And a lot of it seemed to come from straight male gamers annoyed that they couldn't have something.
Well I'm a straight male gamer and it annoyed me then and does a little bit now too!
Currently there are quite a few issues that effect LGBT players of this game (from under representation m/m not able to get the paramour achievement, lazy romance scenes (re-skinning - see the Peebee scene or the Reyes scene with, respectively, Sara and Scott), plus the trans character dialogue) and this needs to be addressed.
These issues do not effect m/f or f/m romances (see the care that went into Scott/Cora, Sara/Jaal or even Scott/Peebee).
Representation is important.
There are also a lot of technical issues that effect all players and these need to be fixed.
I'd also fix Sara Ryder's facial animation - she was meant to be the default but it looks like she was the afterthought with her animations.
And the CC.
Our, straight male player privilege, does not!
I really want to put the Cassandra 'deal with it' scene here but am not really technically savvy enough to do it!

I'm not convinced this gets us very far, I see there being no more a 'LGBT crowd' than there is a 'Straight crowd.' Individuals have their own views. What is provable is that male gay players were uniquely unable to reach an achievement of 3 m/m romances, something available to m/f, f/m and f/f gamers. Seems rather ungenerous to be snarky about it if you already have more romance options than others, hmmm? [and with my mod hat on, I already fear this thread may go badly, but let's see if a civil discussion may be possible... ]quantity =/= quality. Despite technically having more romances, only one of them is anywhere near to feel believable and relatable (2 if you count PB), but unfortunately character behind that romance is left to be desired for a number of reasons, ranging from looks, to age (in relation to protagonist), to personality - as all of it was purposely combined picking worst possible options for combination, which will not surprise me considering that ppl like Manveer Heir were designing Andromeda. I would go as far as saying that straight males got the short end of the stick in Andromeda with all their romance options ranging from uninteresting to repulsive. So I am totally for exchanging all that diversity of a freak show, which feels more like a way to laugh and insult straight male protagonist players, for Suvi, or any straight romanceable character from original trilogy, and let LGBT crowd sort through those wonderful romance options straight male protagonist got. And while your mod hat on, I strongly suggest you to make sure that sarcasm and irony understanding mode is switched on on that hat of yours So far thread has been going light, just the way it was meant to be. Your sarcasm detector advisement is duly noted. Poe's Law makes it hard sometimes to differentiate.

I don't see the point of this, but it's no worse than #MakeJaalBi, even though it will be treated as terrible by the same people advocating the latter. I remember that with the ME3 and DAI mods. Making characters like Cassandra or Cullen available for same-sex relationships was seen as totally fine, but making characters like Samantha or Sera available for opposite-sex relationships was seen as being terrible person despite it being the exact same thing. Ever heard of such ideas like 'reparative therapy'? Now answer yourself this question, what people does it affect. And another question, what does making gay character straight resembles. I personally don't have any big issues with people making mods, but it's obvious why one is not symmetrical to another and it's ridiculous to claim it's the exact same thing.
