Seeing that LGBT crowd gets improvements in patches, and generally gets all the good stuff like Suvi, I felt obliged to make a statement.
As a self-proclaimed representative of all players playing a straight male Ryder character, I could not but get triggered and insulted that we miss out on all good romance options and being left with a freak show cast of characters to romance, whether by looks, dialogues, personal character or combination of those, while LGBT crowd not only gets all the good stuff in form of Suvi, but also get improvement to their... "thing"... in the coming patches. Thus I think Bioware needs to stop being biased towards certain player categories, and show at least some inclusion to a rapidly diminishing and what seems to soon become a minority of straight male population, and demand suggest to make Suvi Anwar character at least a bisexual, or even better - a straight female, and enable her as a romance option for a straight male protagonist.
If Bioware deems it impossible for any meaningful reason, then at the very least they should make a safe space dlc for Tempest, preferably somewhere close to Drack and with easy access to armory.

Only because I looked up romance spoilers before playing, though. If I'd made broRyder and trusted there would be a hetero option I would like, I would be displeased.

It made the characters feel less like characters and more like fan service. |

The discussion here Is that while that system gives everyone what they want it also takes something away from the character. Also if characters are always bi they are never a representation for a certain sexuality. I personally wouldn't mind a playersexual system with unique dialogue based on the gender you choose. I think that is the most fair way to go about it, but i also get the representation angle. There will never be a win situation when it comes to romances. |
