Okay, I Take It Back (Vanguard OP)

Vanguards are frowned upon?.....what is this blasphemy? I'm still playing ME3 MP Phoenix Vanguard... .....  ......you cats better be on tha lookout when i crossover....

Only thing about Vanguards that annoy me is that I don't have my N7 Slayer

Every lobby needs more vanguards.

I guess this is one of the MP subforum's content-rich topics of much fame.

Well, I found snipers annoying in ME3MP when *I* was playing a CC class instead of a sniper. Dem snipers killing your charging targets and getting the killshot on enemies you've taken down to the last sliver of health.  :gentleman:

Everything depends on the current perspective in the end. If you look at the big picture, you need both (the CC/vanguard and ranged classes) and no one really should be annoyed at anything. Vanguards really act as nice bullet sponges so that they can take the aggro off the squishier classes. It's another point entirely that aggro doesn't really seem to work as reliably in this game as in ME3MP....

Anyway, I don't run from Vanguards in MP. I actually like it when I see them because I know that their chances of being useful for the team are higher this way. The reason so many people are currently playing them (vs ME3MP where up until certain buffs in the game, not to mention the holy patch that fixed charge sending you to exotic places under/above/inside the floor/ceiling, they weren't that beloved ) is because most people that aren't playing the game religiously don't have any good weapons (because 99% of weapons currently suck). And the Vanguard, just like the Asari adept isn't dependent on weapons.

Also there is a L2P comment to be made somewhere about pople whining that vanguards are blocking their shots. 






Words to live by. I don't care what anyone plays beyond some simple synergy concerns - if I see I can bring a class to fit the current team lineup better, I'll (sometimes) do it. But then again, "synergy" in ME:A MP.

If you leave a lobby I'm in because it has a vanguard in it, chances are you freed up a slot for someone more competent, so I have no issues with this either way.

They used to annoy me in ME3.

Then I played Kroguard in this MP and it's really fun.
The Jetpack Jump and Dash really helps the Krogan's mobility (which was always a big drawback when I played Krogan Soldier)

Sure charging is annoying on your end I get that but I'm not intentionally trying to steal your kills
I either see an armored target that needs to go asap or I'm doing it to refill my shields.

Goes round the other way too. You just positioned yourself for the perfect headabut, and some Vanquishass snipes your little lovebird. Should give Krograns Instant-Rage Bonusses.

Some playstyles in this games are less compatible with each other, but a Vanguard usually never is that annoying to me, that I ragequit.

Gonna need to select more vanguards now if it really pisses off people.

Why would you leave or be annoyed? Do you ragequit when another vanquisher snipes your target just as you pulled the trigger? If a vanguard charges a normal mob consider it dead and search for a new one. He won't charge for a few more seconds, so you can safely headshot something else. You could, you know, snipe that sharpshooter that's shooting the vanguard? But i do apologize if that's too much teamwork to ask for and you only care about your scoreboard.
