Fallout 4
Got a fair bit done but not a lot to report.
I think somehow I usually end up doing most of the Railroad stuff...under ground? Anyways don't really remember the over ground root too much. Did blast a few more super mutants on the way. But my general idea of looking for likely land marks took me in all the way to the Old North Church...which gave me National Treassure Flashbacks.
So met the gang pretty much and just one of those things where it has to join in on it to advance the plot, well kind of, so had to join in on them. On the bright side though I do really like how this handles things, at least at first. May not last, I don't remember, but as I said in the joining the Brotherhood it does put the SOle Survivivor in a very unfortunate position of having to betray them. But with the Railroad we're a 'tourist' a free agent loosely related to them that helps to do odd jobs.
Anyways though Deacon went into the wildnerss and chatting with him...well Gunners jumped us so had to have the conversation with him while under literal laser fire. Then he lied to our contact and said I was in charge, for good reasons. Wanted to be a simple intelligence agent. Anyways from there went on and raided the Institute location which is... kind of an interesting turn of events honestly. Like we are going back to an area we know the Institute is at and they didn't discover the back door? Didn't have more competent forces there? Either way though have had fun shotgunning and pisoling through the area.

dazk I just noticed under your username I saw the word Malaka, since I've been playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey that word has become apart of my vocabulary. I am not Greek by the way I am an American. I have several Greek friends but AC Odyssey really brought it to my attention as to how many ways it can be used. I put the word there as I was playing Odyssey but need to change it. There are compilation videos of Kassandra saying it: yes, how many times and in how many ways can you say the word "asshole" ?

GW2/SWTORI played a bit of both. Advancing my current "main" character story a bit. My GW2 Guardian is now on the "battlefield" between the Charr Legions and discovered a secret hideout (kinda secret hideout #1 in that storyline lol). My SW Bounty Hunter joined a Mandalorian clan and a select group of bounty hunters and she got her first black list hunt to do on Taris.
Starfield
Isabella is now on Kreet and I need to decide what kind of combat/guns I'm going with. Or if I got back to Skyrim.

My Greek friends who I play baseball with, if someone has done something dumb on the field may just call them a Malaka but it is not meant as an insult rather it is said jovially in a way that means don't worry about it. It can also be used to one's self as a term of frustration. So it's not always an insult meaning "Asshole". www.quora.com/What-does-the-Greek-word-malaka-mean

I was playing Diablo 2 Resurrection when I remembered I did finish the base game many many years ago as a necromancer. I had just forgotten. I also remember completing Diablo 3 as a Wizard. I have finished the base game of both games in the past I just never did their expansions. I did buy Diablo 4 the standard edition today and don't know if I should continue playing D2R and play the Lord of Darkness expansion or jump into Diablo 4. I uninstalled Fallout 4 along with Fallout: London until that mod gets an update. Since I left the facility the game has been crashing when outdoors. I will wait until the game is stable before I play it. The mod is huge so it's expected to have bugs.

For example I am Hispanic and their is a word in our language which I will not say here that has many different meanings to the various Spanish speaking countries. For some it's a term of endearment for others it's an insult, for many it's the name of an animal. So I assume the word Malaka is the same.

Don't know if this fits the thread topic but I've been nostalgic as of late. I found this video youtube of the voice sessions for Legacy of Kain: Defiance. The last game in that awesome series that had in my opinion the best voice acting in any game. The whole saga from it's first inception had amazing voice acting. In the last game it had clips of the voice sessions. In the video the voice sessions accompany the in game scenes that they did.

Fallout 4
Finished up with the Switchboard and always find this quest a little funny because you do get the choice on whether or not you have to go in through the front door based on intelligence that they had fortified the front door. So we sneak in the back...which then sneak in the front. Of course the problem...well problem 1. is that I can never quite remember if he is legitimate, and the front of the building is quite fortified indeed. Probablem 2. is apparntly even if I wanted to I could not fast travel cause of the enemies there so you have to fight your way out of the situation either way. Its kind of annoying but at least we know the contact is legit though kind of a weird chocie because we would go in through the back way either way if I did have a choice. Now if the guy told us the back way was bugged now that would have actually been an interesting intelligence quandry.
And well what I was praising the game for yesterday after doing this one quest...congrats agent. On the bright side though I get a lot of nice goodies from there. The Walther look alike for the 'Deliverer' in 10 mm and I discovered that Tinker Tom has his own sniper rifle. Oh and I took his shot that nearly killed me. But yes the sniper rifle is fun because it says it does a lot of accuracy in VATS if you aren't in combat so pretty good for a starting sniper rifle but the trade off is it uses a lot of AP. Like I can't even shoot the damn thing with a full AP guage. Still does a lot of damage base wise so its good but the controller drift is really being a pain in the butt tonight. Also have Deacon now.
Next up started the quest to rescue Nick Valentine and went through the Vault. Forgot it was a Vault. And a lot of ghouls. I do love how Deacon tends to blend into places wherever he goes.

A gaming first for me. Tonight I finished two games for the first time. Horizon: Forbidden West I might've been slightly over-levelled for the last mission; as between them, Erik and Tilda only killed me once.
Little bitch - I knew she was going to betray me, just didn't know the 'why'.
But now there's a bigger problem heading towards Earth? *sigh*
The credits were stunningly beautiful, though. I wish more games did that kind of thing.
Unlocked Burning Shores - will come back to that in the next couple of days. Far Cry 6 April 21st, 2023. That was when I first started FC6. I think it is safe to say that no game has ever taken me longer between calendar start and calendar finish.
It wasn't all that bad, actually. Female Dani's voice actor is awesome.
Fun, undemanding and just a touch ridiculous.

I googled that too, and according to the two sites I checked the other most popular translation is "wanker" 😂🤣

Well, I finished the Main Story of Ghost of Tsushima. Took me 74 hours and 20 minutes, and this I have to say (with pride) is my very first Completionist run, or as near a perfect completionist run as I can make it. I tried my best to hit every spot on the map, I don't think I left very many, no more than five I would say if that. What an absolutely beautiful game! I don't think there was anything at all that I didn't like about it or that I didn't enjoy. I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed every moment of that game! Even the smaller beats, the less important side quests were enjoyable and I was totally absorbed in the story- especially considering that it's actually based around a real-world historical event. Such a stellar game! I can see why players of the original version on PS4 praised it so highly. This was definitely an emotional ride. There were times I was made a bit angry, there were times when I pumped my fist in confidence and celebration. THere were times I pumped my fist in an andrenaline rush, feeling the thrill and celebration of a hard-fought victory. There were at least 2x I was gob-smacked and slack-jawed with shock and disappointment, and there were at least 4x that I actually teared-up and got a little weepy.
So many wonderul, adventurous story moments. Excellent voice acting by the cast (English dialogue and subtitles because I'm HoH), stunning Art Direction- very cinematic and the landscapes and use of colour were at times, breath-taking. And I am listening to the OST more and more, remembering parts of the game that go with the music and appreciating the beautiful score with each track.
I'm not finished yet....still clearing out the smaller settlements of any Mongol presence before I venture on to Iki Island, but if the game/story actually ended where it did (without the NG+ or DLC) I would be completely satisfied with my experience. And one other thing is absoultely certain: There has never been any other game that I've ever played where I have taken more screen captures, or anything even close to what I took for Ghost of Tsushima. 515 in total, and that's just for the main game. I'm sure there will be more to come once I venture onto Iki Island.
As much as I like B&W movies and enjoy Akira Kirosawa's movies I don't think I will ever attempt the "Kirasawa Mode" which makes EVERYTHING black/white because that would make the gameplay exceedingly difficult even on the easiest settings due to the fact that there is no colour defintion. It would be monochromatic which would be difficult to play with.
I think for my next PT, I am going to opt for the Japanese language track with English subs.
1st XP Final Verdict 10++/10

Diablo IVI completely forgot we can use spoiler tags here so here we go: I picked the male necromancer who I named Kelthuzad after the lich in the great Warcraft III strategy game. I did the first two quests. The first I had to investigate some ruins and the second I had to find a hermit. I must say I did not expect the townspeople to turn on me it surprised me. I choose the Tier 2 difficulty and almost got floored by the first boss. Luckily I can raise 4 skeletons and there were plenty of dead creatures around to raise. So far I am enjoying the game. The look of the game reminds me of Diablo 1 & 2. Although it is limited I like we can modify our characters appearance such as hair, face, eye color, and tattoo. Lot's of npc's more than in the previous but sadly aside from the story npc's they don't have much to say. I made it to the first city with the hermit and it's pretty big for Diablo standards. I know some of the DIablo lore but I remember reading about the angel Inarius and the demoness Lilith. The voice acting is really good so far. I will play some more tonight.

Me too of late though in my case I blame Veilguard asI've been feelin gnostalgic fo rth eold Dragon Age games and listening to thei rmusic I agree for me Dragon Age: Origins has some of the best music ever in an rpg. Sadly I do not remember any of the music in Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition. As for Veilguard I have to get around completing Inquisition before I even think of buying the latest game. After I am done with DIablo IV and Baldur's Gate 3, I will comeback to Dragon Age: Origins. I have only ever done the male human noble and the male human mage origins.

Roamed around the map going to villages to do side quests I had been putting off in HZD FW. Some of them are mildly enjoyable and some are interesting, some are nice and some although they are one of those things are damn annoying. One of those annoying but enjoyable ones is "Lofty Ambitions". Morlund and his crew are great characters but the part of the quest to get the flame apparatus from the Dragon had me almost quitting it and reloading prior to accepting it. I would truly love to be able to use a controller to see how much of the crap I experience jumping and climbing is the KB&M or just me not being good at it. There is one jump where you have to move a crate underneath a vent to jump up to it and because I kept falling off the dragon at the end several times I had to do it multiple times. My experience was that the game makes you fail the first time every time at least it did every time I attempted it which was maybe 5 I think. It also seemed to then add every time I did it a corresponding number of fails, so the second time I failed it twice and by the 5th time I failed it 5 times before I was able to climb up. Note every time it let me grab the ledge and then went nope you must fall off after hanging there for a split second. The dragon was a whole other story successfully jump to the middle but the final step land and Aloy automatically then jumps forward and returns to go and has to do it all again. It took me the several attempts to realise as I landed I had to his "S" to stop myself rather than Aloy just sticking to the jump point like every other one???? It is this stuff that spoils the game a lot for me as much as I love it. Poor Morlund will never get his balloon built in another PT by me. Speaking of which some pic's of the Balloon flight (by the gods imgur is just so slow of late): SPOILERS And a glitch to end it Morlund walked into the Stormbird and I could not interact with him so had to reload to an autosave. Saved this warriors dad from wandering around in an old age brain fog. Helped this warrior by rescuing her squad mates but not all of them. Decided this is my favourite armour from a "looks" perspective.

GW2I finished "No Quarter" on my Guardian, only two episodes left to do before starting End of Dragon expac. Yeah! The "meh" thing is that I still have to play in Drizzlewood map which is somewhat meh, but I least I don't have to wait for the meta to be done to do things on it (takes over 2 hours). SWTORBH landed on Taris and did some questing, not much thought. I hate Taris. StarfieldStill trying to decide what weapon(s) to use. But I discovered that "bleeding" means you can't use melee or sprint. I finished Kreet main mission too. But I might stick to Skyrim, or I need to play with Starfield FOV since I'm getting headaches playing (not super terrible, but a noticeable discomfort).

dazkWhat armor is that? It does look good on Aloy. Though I did really dig the Nora Valiant. NHL 24Finally got a new controller and since FO 4 does not do haptics even in the next gen update decided to try it out first on that. And well it does seem to work. Haptics might seem to be a little smoother at least of course can;t know for sure if that's not confirmation bias. And well might be it for awhile the controller drift never bothered me on Hockey too much at least, some weird things, so might be moving in in the future. Plus getting more time devoted to FO 4 for obvious reasons. Played two games though. Beat the Lightning 7-1 and the Avs like 6-2. Course both games were pretty close going into the third period. For the Lightning their big starting goalie was out Andre Vasileski so that was good news, but then their starting goalie Johanson actually did a pretty great job in relief for him. Pat Maroon was a bit of a beast in the game. Got the first goal of the game on a pretty long range shot that still got through for his 10th on the season. Pretty sure he blocked a shot and also just knocked someone over and skated through. Charlie Coyle and Pastrnak also did quite good with two goals apiece to get them to 27 and 29 respectively. Pretty good game. Oh and the Lightning were the number 3 ranked team in the league. And the Avs...my two favorite teams...ranked number 1 and number 2 in the league. And well it was just a very good game all around. Alexender Georgiev was aactually a bit of a brick wall, at least at first. Marchand became the first one with 30 goals on the season, Lindholm got two more on his own and Zacha had a pretty big deflection. Still despite this it was 3-2 going into the third period where I would score 3 unansered to win the game. Fallout 4Not much got done just finished up the mission 'rescuing' Nick Valentine. Bit of a funny quest in the end as at the climax was able to talk the guy down...and he started counting down. Gave us ten seconds! Probably would have made it clean but I assumed I had to walk back through the door I came through and that was not where the objective was. So Instead went right back through, he was at 6, and we broke for it. Trouble is Deacon lagged behind so heard a splatter of gun fire behind me which forced me to go on. Made it out just fine. Got to Deacon's firts conversation. ANd the guy is a Synth. So three of our companions are Synths in this game. He revealed though that they weren't so good at the whole mind wiping thing yet so his mind was not filled with new memories, just an empty one. But he did give me his recall code as well, which he also mentioned would wipe his memory again. I suspect fodder for a quest later on. But still fasctinating and I am really liking Deacon, he liked me being sarcastic to someone.

clearing out about a dozen of the smaller Mongol camps and occupied territories left over from yesterday. Such a tedious task, but the combat makes it fun. Just a bit of a pain now having to go back to the first section of the island and start from the beginning working my way back north, criss-crossing the whole island.
What I want to do is Island-hop on over to Iki, but I hate leaving things half finished. If this game is giving me the relatively easy goal of 100%-ing the game by clearing out a few camps, then I'll take it.

GW2Nothing like a 10 fps fight to remind you how the game don't handle big open world boss battles with a lots of FX well. Weirdly, I remember that fight being way harder with lots of downed players, I guess the devs made it less nasty because people can barely do anything (I read there was a bug since 2022 with perfo there). SkyrimDan the Bard decided to go explore a cave because he doesn't know what else to do. He found a lute there!. But I can't get it to work with my Bard mod. I need to go recheck the mod to see how this work, I thought it just said to click on it in inventory. At least he got the Silver Tongue perk now.
edit: Dan can now play his Lute, I confused two mods. Also, he almost died there, because he missed his moving target a bit too much...This is his favorite kills of the day thought Right in the ear
