Fallout 4. In Nuka World and secured Galactic Zone. I preserved the robots on the outside for the most part except one, it was still hostile even after I turned off their defenses. I like to keep the robots functional so there's "life" in the area. Plus I like to hear the Nuka jingle from the eyebots.

So despite suffering a bit of a moral crisis yesterday I think Iam going to go on and power through it.
Another bit of a rough day in Farcry 4 as I died taking out a Proganda Center then had to start the whole thing over again, fortunatley I did get it the second time. After that I went after a outposst but on the way to the outpost I kept on getting ambushed by tigers. My fiancee suggests I should constantly travel in vehicles which is an ok suggestion but not sure if it will help me on the outpost itself...which on the outpost itself got into another major fire fight as I missed a pointblank shot on a hunter and that rapidly spoiled everything since the alarms were out of sight in a pit, I did power through it but...
Honestly I am starting to become annoyed at just how bad this game is or at least seems to be. Granted my fiancee's suggestion about taking vehicles everywhere might be a good suggestion worth taking so it might be *my* fault I keep on getting ambushed by animals. Also the reason why I do travel on foot so much is A. to gather plant materials so I can have herbs to make my stuff when I need it (but that is not really viable since I have my garden so if I run out I suppose I could just FT back to the homestead and reup) B. To at least hunt for skins and stuff to upgrade my gear (but all the gear I think I want to upgrade is pretty much upgraded minus the stuff for the specific Kyrati fashion weeks ) and C. So I don't have to listen to the stupid radio, which is a pretty stupid suggestion but the radio is sooo monotonous. Anyways there we have it, tonight going to start on more radio towers I suppose.

So more fun in Baldur's Gate. So yesterday I got a halfling down to the bottom of the mine and then spent most of today playing her adventures. Ramblings contain spoilers and probably some awkward spelling mistakes since too sleepy for words. Managed to take down the beast at the bottom of the mines and get to Nashkel safely. Managed to level up one character and decided, hey I'll try to fight Nimbul or whats his face. So inch my way to him and combat starts. Manage to silence him and then ordered a full on attack. Suddenly the bastard combusts into flames, blowing up himself and quite a few people standing by. Never seen him do that before and felt a bit shocked. Wondered if I irked a flame guard or something. Then realized it was from "The one gift lost" I made Imoen attack him with. Thought it was a magic missile necklace, but it was something quite bigger. Oops. Then my mod cleric scolded me for blowing up everybody and left the party. And well...he's kinda the reason I've been playing, so decided to allow myself a reload. (This is why you shouldn't develop romantic feelings for your underlings, might end up doing silly stuff like resetting the world. ) But this realization made the lady Killers near the mine entrance a whole lot easier. Hehehehe. Second time was a charm at dealing with Nimbul. He was the only one to fall and Rasaad told me about some monks as a repayment. Cool story bro but I'd rather have your boots. So continued on in search of banditos. Did a really petty reload in Peldvale. Since I told the bandits to take my gold and kinda had instant regret but couldn't kill them to get my stuff back. So reload ahoy! (This is why you shouldn't develop romantic feelings for your gold, ect.) But it worked in my favor, since I got waylaid by bandits (I have never been happy about that, it's usually my biggest nightmare) and somehow managed to kill them all. Got a bow out of it, thus getting Imoen back into the ranged game! (Well, I could have purchased a bow for her...but mah gold!) Also got some cash money for their scalps. Which is one thing that really freaks me about the protag. Since waaaay before they know there is a bounty for it, they instinctively just start cutting off the scalps of bandits. Like "Hey I killed a (fellow) human! Better slice the skin of their head and put it in my pocket ". Tent bandits went down surprisingly smoothly. Managed to charm the hobgoblin into helping us and his nasty poison arrows made short work of his mage friend. The other two were beaten to death somewhere in between. Then off to Cloakwood. Horrible, horrible Cloakwood. Spiders were quite chill today, even managed to nab his there body and bring it to his brother. So that was swell. Even managed to deal pretty expertly with the Hamadryad. Aka I avoided her like the plague since she is the worst. The mine Quartet got too feel the over poweredness of the One gift lost and went down quite easy. Which is nice, since they usually take me down with that ease. So shoes on other feet and what not. In the mine, Hareishan killed herself with a lightning bolt. Which was real nice of her because she tends to brutally murder me. Got no experience for it, but I'll take it. Her bandit friends were then mopped up with relative ease. Natasha on the other hand murdered my mod cleric and Xan. Still, she usually kills us all so it was fine. After taking her down the ladies grabbed all they could carry and dragged the corpses back to the Friendly Inn for some reviving and healing. Then a break of re-armoring, identifying and selling. Also Thalantyr and spent all the cash money on spells and potions. Then went to meet the bottom beast of the second Mine. Felt like I did pretty good, managed to take him down with only Imoen getting a grayed out portrait! Then I realized Xan had been chunked. Ooops. So backtracked a bit and grabbed Yeslick, letting him join my team for once instead of drowning him like I usually do... Did another reload while leaving Cloakwood, since I got killed by Ettins and those are cheating twits. Also this far in the game, the ironman dilemma has pretty much gone. Since restarting after getting so far has no appeal. Not reloading for poor Xan since he was doomed anyways. Then went to Baldur's Gate. Yeslick addition to the team seems to have kickstarted the npc banter, which is nice since it felt kinda awkward that they would only talk to me and ignore everyone else in the team. Visited some Merchants and got a tour of the Iron Throne's headquarters. Played dirty with the gang up top by tricking them down the stairs one by one instead of giving them a fair fight. Was amused that no one on the floor below seemed to care that I was murdering people at the bar. Probably just casual Wednesday action for them. Also had a fun moment of walking into a house and coming face to face with four Ogre mages. Noped out of there. Then Maybe-ed back in and tried fighting them. And somehow, those idiots became their own doom, since they cast Stinking Cloud. In a tiny little room. With themselves in the area radius. Might have worked out for them, but Yeslick was a beast who refused to be knocked down and could just leisurely hammer their skulls in as the lay there knocked out from their own spells. So that was fun. And am now kind of stuck, since I can't be bothered to do any quests in the city, but I don't want to leave the quests for next chapter since it's such a hassle to move around the city by that point. So luxury problems.

Hearts of Iron IV: Playing the United States of America. Found a way to guarantee Poland by end of August 1939. Anyone who paid attention in their history class realizes what happened. Germans attack Poland. This means that because of my guarantee, I am thrust into the war at the very beginning, instead of end of 1941(ish, the game's fuzzy on that detail). Obviously, Poland falls, and so does France. Around 1940, the US Expeditionary Force launches some sixty divisions to North Africa (completely under Allied control) and the UK. The Japanese are quiet good little boys at this time. By June 1941, the US Forces have already abused the ever lasting hell of a weak point in the Italian defences and Rome's like "ENEMY AT THE GATES OH SHIT" Sometimes around that time, the Nazi Germany attacks the Soviet Union. President Serza smiles to himself and says "Beginning of the end..." In 1942, Soviet Union capitulates. President Serza is heard using a lot of very choice swear words. West however holds. Mid-late 1942 - Operation Overlord takes place in Normandy and succeeds massively, much like in real life. Just, you know, two years early. Around New Year's sometimes - Italy capitulates, most of France is now liberated. Western Front has become a fight againist the Nazi Germany supported by Slovakia, Romania and Hungary. President Serza is like "We got you by the balls, Adolph. CIA says you're low on manpower and we have three and a half million who aren't even serving yet. You know. On top of those two and a half million already fielded in the US Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps." Freaking Adolph doesn't wanna give up. I guess beating up Stalin in the East grew his balls to extreme sizes. Spain enters the war. Now, if you paid attention, you know that Francesco Franco ruled until the seventies with a Fascist regime. Not in this timeline, I guess... US Forces scramble and divide their forces in France to face both Nazi Germany and Falangist Spain at the same time. For some reason (probably hilarious ineptitude of German and Spanish generals) they succeed. It is currently February 1943 and US Military is preparing an amphibious landing on the northern coast of Germany, deeming it a superior threat. Also, CIA reports that over 90 percent of German troops are stuck fighting the US in Italy and on the French borders. ...but the US Forces are not alone, as President Serza has forgotten ordering a coup to be staged within Nazi Germany two years prior... His advisors claim that he said it was like Christmas.
Our new victory cry is now "Forward Into Germany!"

Beaten the Axis in Europe.
Separate wars, so the peace conference took part.
I got me a new puppet in Venezuela, I'm about to annex the Philippines, and the US now have significant territories in Italy (only Rome and surroundings are still under Italian control), Spain (they have like two provinces...) and a part of Romania.
With 268 military factories, 312 civilian factories and 68 dockyards, there probably is no country that could match me if I decide to go for Conquest victory... Also I could probably Order 66 the Allies. Hmm. I'm not sure if it's worth it for territories in Russia, especially since I might be getting some of those after we beat up Japan. Who is, mind you, about as militarily potent as I am, but my Navy's built like an eraser. For really big mistakes. Anything it encounters should run home to mommy in seconds, IF it lives that long.
Now that I'm looking at it, West Germany does NOT like me. Too bad. My forces are one of the things that holds the Japanese at bay... If not the only one... I think I'll, uhm, wait for them to potentially surrender before magically pouncing in to save the day.

Worked up the courage to raise the difficulty again to get more chapter 4 challenges out of the way. Rascoth - not sure if you got the PM I sent but, I finally figured out how to get the T1 rift one to pop - it was a regular rift at T1, not GR - doh! I can definitely see the difference just between Master and T1 difficulty. Then I dipped my toe into T2 for Urzael - hardest part there was finding my way to his hideout through all the crazies from Act V. He was actually able to do some damage to me, which not many things have been able to do. Everything I have left is at T4 difficulty.
I got trolled by one of the GR guardians - it dropped Tal Rasha set pants, which I already have, and they weren't a better version.

I hate Steam and its forcing you to download patches for games. At least Origin gives you the choice to do it now or later. Any how Fallout 4 is unplayable thanks to the new patch and F4SE script isn't updated for it. Before this mess, I retook the Safari Kingdom or Wild Kingdom, whatever its called in Nuka World. Made all of the wanna be deathclaw gators take a dirt nap. Cito thought I was a cool friend and then my character did a real dick move. Took his hammer he just gave me and bludgeon his family and then him with it. I feel like an asshole now. I rarely do moves like this but my character is starting to descend into madness, loss of a husband, baby stolen, seeing the world turn to shit, the mind can only take so much. Thanks for the hammer, pal!

I got your message, and even replied to me, before I saw here that you figured this out In general Torment feels like you don't have to do that much more damage, but you're way more vulnerable. That's why for now I took Kormac, while working on getting Unity rings and immortal tokens for followers. That being said, there's certain difficulty spike in Act V, so even if Urzael gave you a bit of trouble, doesn't mean bosses from other acts would (though Keywardens are pain in the ass, since they're accompanied by angry mob). As for Tal Rasha piece, if you have materials, you can always try converting it in Kanai Cube for another piece of the set.

Well, so much for the FPS challenge. I can't get Quake Mission Pack: Scourge of Armagon to run in the Dark places source port. It installs OK, and launching the game runs the demo, but as soon as I actually start a new game I find myself stuck in the wall within the starting area, and even if I use noclip to escape, none of the teleporters to the actual levels work. Tried to open an account on the Quake One forums for technical help (which seem to be one of the few active Quake communities still around) but never got a confirmation email allowing me to post on the boards, and my email to the administrator was ignored. Tried asking for help on the Steam/Quake discussion forums - which was also ignored. So that's that then. Either I continue without playing the mission pack, use another source port without Dark Places' fancy graphical effects, high res texture packs etc. (yuk!) or I give up the challenge.

So I did it, I turned down thedifficulty finally...but I did not die and had a reasonable amount of fun.
So it seems weird but I was really running out of things to do and I had a growing suspcion...because the game is divided into Northern Kyrat and Southern Kyrat and you can't get into the North until you reach a point in the story. So quickly knocked off two more out posts and a belltower. Then I got to Longinus and that was really...close. Had to go up a mountain looking for 'weapons' and well I needed oxygen on the mountain and I almost ran out of oxygen after getting lost. But I did power through it and wound up back down on the bottom where Longinus informed me that Depleur is planning something...which low and behold seems to have unlocked the next story mission. I still need to check if that itself counted as a story mission and I actually want to knock off a few side missions but I am about to embark on the next leg of the story.

Kingmaker The game is a little buggy. While doing a companion quest, her doppelganger turned up in the quest zone. I then found her invisible and untalkable after the quest was done. She then turned up twice in the companion list. This glitch didn't go away until I restart the game. Her twin was still there in the quest zone but luckily, didn't trigger when the party went by her so the quest was successfully completed. I also found the travelling back and forth highly irritating. There's no fast travel. You have to juggle the weight problem against the need for items; is this necessary to bring along? Can I leave it behind? Do I have to pick this up? This became a big problem when it came to a quest that the protag has to go alone. The question of shared inventory came into play because it's impossible to shift everything onto the other party members for a while. This riled me. A lot. So I dropped everything and tried to think of a way to shift those items. One possibility is to find the closest zone to quest, throw out all the inventory items there and then get the protag to go alone. The plus point for this game is before the player leaves the zone, all the loot that's not picked up / missed shows up in a list. The player can then grab them before leaving. If the loot is not picked up, it remains there. Then I came across special bags discussed in a forum; they lighten weight. That struck a light so I went to the city vendors and found one guy selling such a bag that will reduce weight by 200 pounds. Great! But it costs me 25 000 gold. It's fortunate I haven't been spending much so I have the gold for it. That solved the problem. They seem happy to be dead.

As for Tal Rasha piece, if you have materials, you can always try converting it in Kanai Cube for another piece of the set. Is that the "reforge legendary" option? Would I get a choice what to make or just get a random new item?
Edit: Irrelevant now since my hardcore wizard bit it, but I see that it's convert set item, which may or may not work as quickly as one would like. Well, I created a new H/S wizard (female this time) and at least all my stash items, gold, and paragon points carried over. So, not a total loss. Dang, I was almost done with that GR13 too - not even sure what happened exactly. Oh well....glad I'm not hardcore, otherwise I'd be way more upset. I think I did pretty good to get as far as I did without dying.

I hate Steam and its forcing you to download patches for games. At least Origin gives you the choice to do it now or later. Any how Fallout 4 is unplayable thanks to the new patch and F4SE script isn't updated for it. I've not updated my version of Fallout 4 for, I dunno, two years maybe? It's not necessary to update it because the only purpose of the updates is to add new content to their stupid Creation Club, mods-for-cash service, If you don't update the game you can't use Creation Club content... but who cares? I'm assuming the reason you find the game unplayable after the updates is because you use mods which require the Script Extender to be enabled? Every update effectively breaks that version of the script extender, and you have to wait for them to update it to the next version before you can use it again right? So, to fix it you basically need to roll back your Fallout 4 an earlier patch, and then prevent updates from working in the future. This thread tells you everything you need to do in detail. It's easy to follow and it works perfectly. I use exactly the same method myself: forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6540926-how-to-rollback-fallout-4-version-steam/It looks far more complicated than it is in reality, and it generally takes around four minutes. But if you're nervous about rolling back another option is to just wait until the Script Extender updates to the newest version, and then prevent any future updates using the method below. After you've rolled the game back, you need to disable automatic updates for a game. 1) Right click on the game in your Steam Library to select 'Properties' and then go to the 'Updates' tab. 2) Select "Only update this game when I launch it" 3) I also like to select "disable background updates". Not really necessary, but it does add an additional level of security. 4) From now on only launch Fallout 4 directly from the Script Extender NEVER from the Steam menu. And that's it, you'll never have to worry about your mods breaking again.

Reforge simply changes stats on your item, with a chance to make it Ancient legendary, though there's always a chance to make it worse. Convert set item might be a pain in the ass (I once converted set item 10+ times to get the one I wanted, other time one try was enough), but when you're farming sets that didn't come from Haedrig gift and Kadala pretty much trolls you, it's worth a try Awww, pity to hear about you dying, but with paragon points leveling should be much quicker now.

I didn't get the achievement for completing the game (!) so started a new game + in Shadow of the Tomb raider.
1) It's highly amusing replaying with all the skills and equipment 2) Running it in DX12 now, and good god does it look good (and it's not like it was ugly before - shame there is gif compression). What's even better is that I actually get a higher framerate too: Thanks to Serza for pointing me in the direction of Shadowplay, now Fraps is borked on Win10.

So since the Pats were playing IRL last night I decided to pop in Madden to finish up my season...and ironically enough my franchise weirdly enough. Anyways Super Bowl LII in my franchise between the Patriots...and the Eagles. And the game was about as wild as it was IRL but in a different way, there were a total of FOURTEEN total turnovers in the game. But still managed to win like 43- 28 or something. It was weird. Edelman had ten catches for 190 yards and two TDs. Cooks wasn't able to recover from the AFC Champsionship game injury, Gronk was hurt midway through with a shoulder tear and I think Lewis was also added to the injury list. In the end Teddy Bruschi was declared the MVP with 3 tackles and 2 interceptions so...yeah.
But then to my chagrin and contrary to what I was sure would happen...the game retired me. I thought since I *was* Tom Brady that I could continue playing until I *wanted* to retire. But nope. It retired me, guess it figured forty was too old and had a really fantastic season to leave off on.
So I started a new franchise in Madden again with a deaged Brady (because this is fantasy dammit) So I am going to have to play last season *again*. This time though I did so as the coach Bill Bellichick instead of Brady which means I have to control everyone again, but on the bright side I now have control over the roster like I wanted last year. So that is a good thing.
The game againstthe Chiefs was wild 42-28 in the end but it was really close and went a bit mad bomber with Brady, breaking that record...again. Five TDs...two interceptions. Etc.

Does FRAPS always crap out on Win10 for you? I have it auto start on Win10 and it usually has an error once in every five starts saying Direct X 9 had an issue initialising or something. I just restart it manually and its fine.

Moar Baldur's Gate. Wrapped up the main game and started Siege of Dragonspear. So far, so good. Combat is kinda hard but we are surviving. Kinda. And same thing with more words and spoilers. Stopped by Candlekeep, killed some people and then left. Decided to trust the local elders and was spared Winthrop's doppleganger. Too bad they always turn into their true form. Wondering if you had really skewered Phlydia would have been a nice mind boggler.
Went back to Baldur's gate and killed a happy couple. Was amused to hear the other one saying "Krystin don't you be flaking on me now". Which was funny because we moved out of her sight so she was just picking her nose as we wailed on her husbando.
Then visited Firewine Bridge, poked on the ground floors of Durlags tower and killed many a kobold.
Decided to do the horrible werewolf Island and it didn't turn out to be that bad. Had to do the battle with Karoug a couple of times. First time the Greater Werewolf form didn't spawn and I had to redo the whole ship. Then we won!... and then my character stepped on a trap and died (I call foul on that one, her toesies weren't even near that trap!). Then he whopped my bottom two times. And finally we managed to cut through his crazy regen. Oof.
Still, wasn't even close to tears, so that was nice.
Decided to skip Durlag's tower, because well. I hate it. Granted it might have surprised me this time around, but I still bear the mental scars from last time.
I also hate Sarevok. But I guess he hates my music more because he eventually just kicked me to the Dragonspear thing. Granted we got a good head start of damaging him, but he had skewered everyone but me and Imoen. Tell her to cast some magic missiles, but it's not enough and she is dropped. My character is standing in the corner, terrified, Angelo approaches and suddenly the screen goes black. Was expecting the death hand like the last twenty times, but no, the cutscene plays and the expansion starts. And I'm taking it. It was just my excellent bard skills that won the day.
Luckily the game revived all my companions and even gave me their items as well! So there was like half hour sorting inventory and trying to squeeze all my stuff into the bags. Since I'm a hoarder and Safana brought her own stuff... Either way, got in and out of Baldur's gate and ended the session in some liches laboratory. Which I'm just realizing now is a horrible thing. Well darn.
But still, game has been kind to me, since even if the encounters are tough they feel a bit easier than if they were in Baldur's Gate 2.
