Despite the bad reviews Atlas have been getting, players / streamers are determined to make it work because it has a lot of potential going for it. It took several days, a big workforce of more than a hundred players that the Late Night Shift crew got a base going and built up a fleet. Yesterday they took one of the galleons on its maiden run with escorts. It was impressive; getting the crew to work together. The galleon can carry 60. They took out several ghost ships and then went on to raid, almost losing the galleon but managing to save it. Tonight, a funny sight on the seas.

dazk Yep it was Dobby. Was absolutely thrilled that she was one of the escorts during the mission where you learn about that feature. --- So wrapped up the main story today. Poor Connor in sequence 10. He does get major plus points for me for telling them both where they could shove it. Still, ouch. Then wrapped up the Kidd missions, got familiar with the New York Tunnel system and did most of the naval quests left. The reward for the Kidd mission was fine, but man did it rile me up. Mostly because "I DID a 3 man kill streak and you're just a meanie", "Darn you checkpoint!" and "Connor for the love of gourds could you just jump where I tell you and not rub yourself against the walls!". Also, "those wolves were jerks". Otherwise it was fun. Liked the Doctors place and the Fort was pretty fun as well, kill streaks and wall rubbing aside. Did quite like the rest of the main story. Liked the Sequence 11 quite a bit. Granted I would have loved a more flowers and butterflies, but like, the way it went was pretty awesome too. It also glitched the first half of the next Sequence for me. Since the screen kept it's red tint the final fight for the entirety of the first memory in that part. Which did not help my headache much, but did make the story a bit more enjoyable, since I do like it when the main character Just.Wont.Stop. Luckily it went away before any chasing happened, since that would have properly made me want to tell it to go crawl in a hole and die. But I just loved the result cutscene too much so all is forgiven. Rest of the game was pretty nice as well. Almost missed the post credit cutscene, since I decided to just go to the bathroom and brush my teeth while the credits played. Luckily I could see my screens reflection in the window and pause it before much happened, but such is the on going drama with the credits in this game. Also wrapped up the Homestead missions. Had a good chuckle over the final doctor mission. Yes just let me smack a bandage on you and you'll be right as rain! Then there was less chuckling over the next scene. But it was a nice wrap up. Don't think I'll be bothering with the rest of the side quests/ 100% the ones I couldn't be bothered with this session. But maybe I will, one day. Still, planning to do the Washington dlcs so not quite done with the game. All in all, quite enjoyed the main game, even if I needed a bit of venting to see it's merits. Ezio is still my favorite assassin so far, but Connor can be second, especially after Sequence 9 and 10. Oh and happy New Years. Hopefully this one is the best one yet Sorry so meant to warn you about the wolves in the Kidd quest and forgot. I didn't really enjoy The George Washington DLC if you are talking about the alternate universe ones. Are you going to play Black Flag next? If so I highly recommend getting The Time Saver pack that either gives you the maps for the legendary ship upgrades or it tells you where they are. Also if they didn't come with it the Resources pack is a bonus cause resources are scarce early on.

What key is the screenshot telling me to press to show the nearby quest? i.imgur.com/tDIL7lg.jpgIts just telling you there is a quest nearby, hit TAB and it will open your quest log and should show you or hit "V" and launch Ikaros and he should be able to show you if you hold down RMB and look around. You can generally ignore that prompt unless you are looking to pick up a new quest to do. Alternately look at your map and it should show all the quests available with either question marks or icons. Black and white quest markers are minor side quests, black and gold ones are story related that you need to do. FYI you should prioritise doing the white icons that look like an eagle they open up fast travel points and reveal things on the map.

Looks like arrow keys? My best guess since I haven't played it (yet). Thanks melbella, but it turns out it is the TAB key. I nearly got killed in the opening sequence, trying to figure out the the squashed down U key is the spacebar. I spent an hour and 23 minutes and I haven't finished the first quest yet. I've returned to the vineyard, but I don't know how to make the quest marker show me to where the bloke is. I think I'll leave this game until I'm in the mood for it.

I've returned to the vineyard, but I don't know how to make the quest marker show me to where the bloke is. I think I'll leave this game until I'm in the mood for it. If you hit TAB and click on the quest you want to do it will provide a weird looking gold diamond quest marker on the screen, when assigned the quest it should have given you the option to hold down TAB to make that your current quest but the diamond thing can be hard to see, you may need to move the camera around to find it as if the quest is higher geographically than you are currently it will be higher up on the screen etc. Be patient its always hard starting a new game and learning the controls, the game is well worth the effort. Also maybe post these questions in the AC Nothing is True Everything is Permitted thread. bsn.boards.net/thread/821/assassins-creed-true-permitted?page=98&scrollTo=1193975Also if you want you are welcome to PM me and I can give you a quick run through of things or a background on the game etc. I am in Australia though so timing may be an issue with responses.

I'll install it soon and start playing it also In order to try to keep myself awake until midnight, I decided I'd load up AC Origins and try it out. Except....it doesn't run. There is apparently an issue with it not supporting AMD Phenom processors, which of course is what I have, and since I'm not planning on upgrading any time soon, I decided to refund it. Too bad, 'cause I was looking forward to playing it.

Wow that's weird. Did you see this article? I know its too late now if you have refunded it but maybe for future AC games. support.ubi.com/en-GB/faqs/000031975/Freezes-and-stutters-on-PC-with-AMD-CPU-ACO/Edit: Found some more stuff from a lot of unhappy customers apparently the processors you use do not work with the game to complicated technical mumbo jumbo. They all got refunds.
It is weird though because when you start Odyssey they actually advertise for AMD?????

Started TNT Evilution, because why not and it's like 3 times harder than DOOM II... Also wanted to be Rameses the god! Usually choose Order because it has better bonuses, but this time wanted to become ally with the coolest authoritarian! and how to fund the modernization of your army by selling out of date strategic resources!

Well I finished Expeditions Viking. Cheat Engine allows you to stop the timer. Though it turned out I didn't need it. Getting the Game Over screen for running out of time before your first camp is a bug, and shouldn't be possible. You actually have two months to finish Act 1, which is plenty of time. The game has a few bugs still, dialogue doesn't always marry up to what you did in the game, like assuming you have killed people you haven't killed. I went with an all female team, and romanced the witch, Roskva the Black. i.imgur.com/PoA3K1O.jpgI was thinking of going through again, but considering I became Queen of Northumbria and Pictavia, Jarl of Orknyjar, and Thegn of Skjern and Jelling, there isn't any more I could do in a 2nd playthrough.

First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !! Already a bounty olnorton that's at least a good start beware of the fire/poison damage that some of them ( mercenaries ) do. I on the other hand finished the main story line in AC Odyssey and to be honest i had no idea that i finished the game no credits only a line that said Odyssey end. Well in the last couple of days i had some really sad moments and a few happy moments as well i will put them in a spoiler A really sad moment was when Phoibe died i considered her as she was my own daughter. And no matter what i tried i could not bring her back with some of the other choices i could pick from. And about 30 minutes later there was a happy moment when i saw my mother again. I still have 3 cultists to kill so i will probably do that tonight and i haven't visited all the islands yet and there are still so many other things that i still need to do in this huge game. There are a few things that annoy/irritates me like when i sit on a horse and i am not going fast enough i will say ye-haw every ten seconds. Even in a forest where i cannot go as fast as i can i will still say ye-haw. When i stand on something for example a crate i hesitate when i want to jump off in a battle that can mean life or death. I jump off mountains that are a mile high easier. The resources for upgrading my weapons and armor especially later in the game are absolutely ridiculous. The only thing i do lately is killing animals and pick up iron and the rest that i need for upgrading my weapons and armor. Mercenaries are way to strong in this game if i cannot perform an assassination attack they all are at least for me boss fights. I much rather fight a Cyclops then one of those irritating f****** mercenaries especially when they use fire damage. Yeah i really truly hate them all but i think you'll already knew that. Here is something else that i will put in a spoiler I cannot really say that i'm a family person in this game first i kill my fake father then i kill my brother and finally i kill my real father hmm not really nice of me right. I'm not really sure how many hours i already put into this game but at least it's over the 160 hours so far. So there are still many hours to go when i finally really finish this game.

Oh no, I have ADM something or other and also Nvidia so I'll have to see if mine will run. Since Odyssey works, I didn't even think about Origins not working. I was really looking forward to your commentary as I played the game too. Correction: Oh, wait, it looks like my processor is ok but it's my video card that is not quite up to par. Still, I have been able to play Odyssey with it even though a popup will tell me it's not good enough. Maybe I can still play origins with it too. I'm going to get several things on my computer upgraded, in the not too distant future but would like to wait a bit since it won't be cheap.

Yeah, I think you blew it at being a good family member. I was really bad at the warrior mechanics until my character stomped off in a huff after losing a conquest battle and he (meaning me) actually got my warrior abilities set right, figured out what they really did, and practiced my keyboard and mouse moves, because I'm so much better at hiding in the bushes and sniping or assassinating people. Made me up my crummy skills a bit there cuz I was one dead warrior otherwise. I also am not very good at jumping in town, camps, or forts. I must not release certain keys quickly enough and it's very irritating. All I'll be trying to do is jump off the little side fort wall and the next thing I know, Alexios is swinging like Tarzan, across the fort or across town, grabbing ropes and walls, looking like a monkey swinging across a jungle. Kinda makes him not so sneaky when he does that.

I wanted to do another after action report from Task Force Challenger and their combined Hornet/Tomcat air element, but unfortunately, the game crashed so hard I had to push the hard reset. I'm off to bed on account of having to put up with retards for the next three days within the hour.
Figured I might as well just recall what I did. Out loud. Y'know, to put that deeper in my memory.
So, before take off - this was on Cat 3 - I had to set up my instruments. Basic procedure is HUD on left DDI, FCS page on the right DDI, but I prefer to set it up for flight. During navigation, I need my RWR, my Radar and my map/Nav tools. So RWR for Nav and A2A mode for me goes on the left DDI, Radar screen goes on my right DDI. My AMPCD (partially obscured by stick) is the only non-monochrome (green-black only) screen in the Hornet. That means it's the best for navigation, as the DDI's couldn't portray the map.
With the RWR, I turn on my ALE-47 (electronic warfare) to enable full RWR and countermeasures functionality. The power button for that is below the AMPCD and adjust Program 1 and Program 5, plus switch the dispenser to Manual. I have two buttons for dispensing, one (fore?) is whichever program I have chosen (1-5) and the other (aft?) always dispenses Program 5. So the default is to set one to Flares and the other to Chaff. My usual config for that is 1pcs, 2 repeats, .75s interval.
With the Radar screen, I switch my radar to 4-bar scan mode (the radar can actually scan only a very small area, and by selecting more bars, which should be roughly equivalent to the 5-degree elevation marks on my HUD, it can effectively scan a larger area, but each bar requires the radar to make an independent scan, which is about a one or two second sweep each) but keep it in the 140 degree angle (Hornet radar can scan 70 degrees off either port or starboard, but this can be lowered down to 40, 30 or 10 degrees off the nose with the corresponding pushbutton on the DDI). I also enhance the range displayed on the DDI (the radar will always scan 160nm range best I can tell, but I can choose to only display 5, 10, 20, 40 or 80 naval miles on the screen for ease of target selection). That's it for the radar. Of course I can hit up Wizard for a picture or bogey dope in case I need it.
The AMPCD in the bottom of the front panel serves for my navigation. Before this mission, I already had all of my waypoints inserted, so all I did is switch the display to use waypoints for navigation by pressing the button (I think it's pushbutton 11, off the top of my head) and then selecting WP1. When 1 is reached, I have to manually switch it to WP2 and so on, but it's a single button press.
So with those three done, I check the instruments. I want to make sure my altimeter is set to Barometric (I can also do Radar) and my flaps. Since I was on the Cat, there was no need to check for launch bar position.
I also want to check my radio. Usually I have four channels I want to utilize throughout, this being Flight, AWACS (Wizard), Tanker (Texaco) and Air Traffic Control (in this case the Stennis). I can only have two active at any given time, however, even if switching is as trivial as turning a knob below the UFC. So I keep it on Flight for COMM1 and switch COMM2 around. So far I didn't need more than two other frequencies (haven't needed air refuel yet).
Since it was a ground strike, before the approach to target, I switched my DDIs around. My RWR went to the right DDI, because of a feature that automatically switches my left DDI to the Stores page when I enter A2G mode. This is because all weapons settings are done via the Stores page in the TAC section and via the Up Front Console right below my HUD.
And yeah, it crashed on approach. I had the target firmly in sight, the CCIP pipper right over it and was about to press the button when... Nope, you shall not drop Mk84 2000lb bombs on anyone's head tonight. Because fuck me, apparently.
And this is the reason I don't record anything. I can't rely on my PC to keep the game reliably running at fair FPS without the recording.

It is weird though because when you start Odyssey they actually advertise for AMD????? Newer ones should be fine. It's the older Phenoms that don't support the SSE 4.1/4.2 that have the issue. Other companies have patched their games to make them work but Ubisoft has basically said, tough shit, upgrade your system.

The "V" key does two things, one if you just hit it Ikaros will launch and holding RMB will let him focus and identify stuff for you to find. You have to allocate ability points to make the "V" key work. In the inventory screen you need ti oclick on the "Abilities tab and you can allocate ability points to the ability that is the bottom right ability under Assassin abilities and looks like an eye in a triangle. The game I thought started you off with a point in there but I can't remember. Holding down the "V" button sends a pulse called Eagle Vision that highlights items like loot, resources etc. If you hit "V" then Ikaros will fly and you can direct him using WASD. So when approaching a camp say, when above the camp/fort/house etc you hold down RMB and he will identify the soldiers, Treasure and stuff you may need to loot and destroy like military supplies. If you left click on any of those things it will tag them but you can only tag one thing. The game essentially is about stealth hitting "C" makes Kassandra/Alexios crouch and if you do this where the grass is long or in shrubs etc you will become invisible unless a guard saw you un into it. If you are running away from guards its important to break line of sight before trying to hide. Combat is simply LMB to hit things, RMB to draw and aim your bow then LMB to shoot. Abilities are 1,2,3 and you assign them when allocating points you earn as you level up. You will need at least one point in eagle vision, you should invest in Rush Assassination which when hiding if you activate it makes you jump out and kill the target you are facing this gets strong as you allocate points to it meaning you can chain or string it to assassinate eventually up to 4 people. Starting out the game can be confusing. It doesn't matter about the Spartans and Athenians fighting that is just a background for the game, you are essentially neutral. The "F" key is to assassinate people when they are closer enough and they don't see you. Some enemies will be too strong to one hit kill at first the screen will show you whether they will die in one hit or not. If you kill someone in open where people can see the public may go nuts and attack you as will any guards around, best strategy early on is to run away and try and hide. If you need to burn something like war supplies holding down "T" activates a torch that you can then use RMB to aim and throw it at stuff. Lastly with abilities there are a several passive abilities you should get as soon as you can: One Upgrades Armour, another Upgrades Weapons, and a few upgrade your stealth abilities and arrows. Hope this helps

Happy New year to you to @patricia If you have cultists left that means you haven't gotten your spear to Level 6 yet, is that right? Wow you made some interesting family choices and now you have missed out on this: I finished the main story a while ago but am still clearing things and am now at 230+ hrs.

Excuse for a late Xmas present to yourself?????

Still stuck in Maple Story. I'm 7 levels short from lvl200 on my Demon and getting final reward from Tera Burning event. Then slow grind to lvl250 while - most likely - leveling some other characters. One thing that is HUGE improvement in my eyes is adding special story modes, including ones called Blockbusters. They're heavily story focused. They even have dialogue choices, varied rewards, character origin recognition! And while they differ in quality, top ones make up for poorer ones. Though there's one when I rage quit every boss, since level scaling is ridiculous there At this point I'm pretty sure I'm stuck in MS for months, since the deeper I go, the urge to play other characters grows stronger. MS has huge replayability possibility, since every character has personalized story. And while personal quests might not be as numerous as one would like, those tidbits and character personalities (both your character and characters connected to their story) are enough for me. Plus I'm a sucker for this graphics

Thanks dazk, it appears you do start with a point in it, and I did become the eagle at one point, but I didn't know what to do with it. Anyway, before I could get the money off the merchant, the mercenary attacked me. Then half the town joined in, on his side! He had some level 5 armor I can't use, and the townsfolk have no loot, only E to carry. Am I meant to try and hide all these bodies somewhere? i.imgur.com/nl8ruIH.jpgAnd another thing, when I was on the horse, it said press E to go to the marker, but when I pressed E, she just jumped off the horse. Edit: Also, where are screenshots kept? Online it said C:\Users\Username\Documents\Assassin's Creed Odyssey\Photo but I don't have that. It's the UPlay version, not steam. It tells me photo taken when I press F12

I knew nothing about the game or any AC game when I started playing Odyssey and I had no idea what to do with the eagle either. Sure made the game easier to figure out when I understood how to use him. I didn't know what I was supposed to do with the bodies either but I could pick them up so I carried one of the bodies around on my horse, for the longest time, thinking maybe I could turn it in for a bounty. You can hide them if you want to do so, when you are in places like forts, because otherwise the other soldiers will see them and know something is up and start looking for you. I almost always left my bodies laying around and let someone else clean them up, which some of the soldiers will do. Be sure to check the bodies that they throw in the water (or not) filled holes because sometimes they will have loot on them.

dazk Gave the Washington dlc a try, but since you aren't singing them praises and the first three memory bits had me grinding my teeth, I'm going to put them on the back burner for now.
Going through Liberation before Assassin's Creed 4, because it was one of the reasons I was interested in giving this series a try and I need my fix of lady assassin's before hitting the deep blue sea.
Did buy the base version of Assassin's Creed 4 since it didn't seem to have a deluxe edition. So probably going to give it a try just the base game first and see how it goes. Is Freedom Cry any good? --- So started up Assassin's Creed Liberation today. And finished it as well. So I figure it's easy to guess whether I enjoyed it or not So there was a bit of dressing up, bit of business, adventuring in the swamp and murder. Lots of murder. Really liked the whole Persona deal. Lady persona gave me the gameplay I'd been hankering after Kenway, Assassin persona was just ridiculously fashionable and I liked being able to proper blend in with the npcs with the Slave persona. And they all had coloring options! Business was okay I guess, but I want all the money and I want it now. So was too lazy to really use it. Same with the trading in Assassin's Creed 3. Aint nobody got time for that. The swamp was swampy, but I liked running around in it. The crocodiles were a hoot, especially after the graphics were fixed since then it decided to accept my button pushing in the qte. Like after ten bouts of being tossed off the overgrown lizards back, I feel like my companion could have maybe stepped in to help? Ya know? The city was also nice. Felt the ones in Assassin's Creed 3 were a bit too big, so it was nice being able to get places in short times. The plot was pretty fun as well. Liked pretty much all the characters. Except for the raft, even if it was just a pile of wood, it was an awful person. >:C Do wonder if there is a bit more of MR. E in the future. Credit song was also amazing and I genuinely feel bad about accidentally skipping it. Since the other games just paused it if you hit esc, I though this one would too and that I could take a small break. But no, it skipped them. :C Luckily it happened on the second credits. Hehe. Didn't have many bugs, except at the bloody raft and it's bloody barrels and "Not taking damage in combat" is "Not going to happen". Had a bit of a graphical issue at the beginning, but asking the Nividia thing to optimize things fixed that. Didn't 100% the game, and probably wont, because the raft. But might load it up someday to get some collectibles, do some missions and just enjoy strolling about. But for now, I'm feeling pumped and ready for the next game.
