Aside from marathoning Immortals Fenyx Rising, I've been playing mobile games. Last week I started Lord of Heroes, with surprisingly decent story/likeable characters for mobile game. I'm kinda angry with myself that I didn't start it when it came a few months ago, considering I was pre-registered for it. Well, better late than never. I also reinstalled King's Raid, only to realise I don't have my account. Forgot about my usual late night account purge Anyway, back to beginning. Fortunately I'm equipped with knowledge from my previous playtime, so I got my go-to team right away, I just need to equip them properly. It'll take a while to get where I was, but that's the price for my impulsiveness

In-between Cyberpunk 2077 sessions, I played a bit of GW2. My Norn Renegade is now a member of the Priory and I crafted an ascended weather breather for her too. Cost me about 10 gold to make, so I did the dailies to recoup the cost (it rewards 2g per day). Once the 15th hit, I'm going to do some of the Wintersday stuff, because I want something that is a collection reward that only happens during that seasonal event. It exist since 2014 and I never bothered with it. I recon you are talking about Guild Wars 2 i still do not understand myself that i did not buy that game. Because i played a lot of Guild Wars 1 and that was one of my favorite games back then. I was pretty good if i say so myself and helped a lot of people with missions etc. Back then the Ritualist and Necromancer were my favorite characters. Those pictures bring back memories with special armor you could get like that Obsidian Armor for my Ritualist it was not easy to get though. And i do remember those holiday events like Halloween and as you said Wintersday it was always a lot of fun with little games you could play. Pwoh i was really young back then. Never too late to try GW2, the base game (without the expac) is F2P and buying the last expac (Path of Fire) gives you both, it goes on sales for like $10 often.

I've finished the main campaign of GW2 this year, but never got much further...still don't have an inkling on what class to play. Plus I've found out I'm more of a singleplayer player then mmo player. Am I still following news on the new expansion? yes...yes I am. Cantha was my favorite region back in GW1...even if for me that pack was pure hell.
in GW1 I played as an elementalist/necromancer...but never finished any of the campaigns.

How would you rate the crafting relative to WoW? My brother's got a thing for crafting in MMORPGs and has been pestering me about playing WoW even though it costs $15 every time and he gets bored in like a week anyway

^ the crafting in GW2 is quite...easy, at least on the early levels and depending on what you craft.
Though it does get more difficult as crafting level increases. For example, crafting jewelry is easy...you find bunches of metal and gemstones food is more difficult because it requires experimenting and not all materials are available from the start. for me personally the thing I like about GW2's crafting is the fact you can break down weapons and armors (provided they aren't soulbound) you don't get back all the materials you used for the thing you crafted but it's not useless either.

How would you rate the crafting relative to WoW? My brother's got a thing for crafting in MMORPGs and has been pestering me about playing WoW even though it costs $15 every time and he gets bored in like a week anyway Never did crafting in WoW, so I can't compare to that. GW2 crafting comes in various stage. Normal crafting, that's 1 to 400. Leveling that up is rather fast (takes me like 1-2 hours), if you have the materials or gold to buy the materials (which you won't have if you just started) and follow guides. Can be used to level up your character, because it grant regular XP, but doing the game main story/map completion rewards you materials so I wouldn't focus on just crafting for newcomers. Some disciplines are more costly than others to level up. You can only have 2 crafting discipline on a character (I think there is a cash shop item to add more?) and you can change them (you lose all progress when you do that). At 400 you can make exotic and these still have values in-game (depending on meta). All disciplines works the same way: select recipe, craft something. You need to refine materials first, then create pieces and then the final product. There are some experimentations, but it's mostly for buff/runes except for Chef, but you can find all the recipe online anyway. Once you reach 400 you can try different things: - legendary crafting. Requires unlocking things in Cory Tyria Masteries to unlock collection quests or buying super expensive rare weapon drops (unless you are super lucky with those, I never got one). Requires a lots of material, expect to grind either for gold or materials or certain of the collections related to this. Requires doing a bit of every content type in the game, some tied to expac depending what you want to craft. I never bothered with it so I'm not super knowledgeable about it, but I see people in map chat who are super into it. Legendaries have special animation effects and sometimes footprints/auras. - ascended crafting. You need to raise your disciplines to 500, which can be painful (keep crafting boosters for this) outside of the first time you do Chef to 500. Chef comes with a collection/quest thingy that gives you 50 level for free the first time (follow a guide to save time and money). I found it fun to do, you have to cook stuff for different chefs around Tyria with a bit of treasure hunt aspect. Jeweler doesn't have ascended levels. Oh and certain items can only be crafted once per day. Legendary and ascended have the same efficiency (about 5% better than exotic) and both can be shared to any characters on the same account who can use the item. The difference is that Legendary can switch their stats distribution at will, while ascended requires using the mystic forge + more materials. Other crafting related things: - mystic Forge: there are item recipes that only work on the mystic forge, requires no crafting discipline. It's used for a bunch of other things and is nicknamed the mystic toilet because of it. - you need to use stations to craft, there are in all cities. - there is a dedicated crafting material panel in the bank, 99% of all crafting materials goes into it. - some crafting material are also used as currencies (especially seasonal stuff and some map currencies in the later game). - you can salvage most items. There is even now an item to salvage food (you get it from doing the collection quests to get to 500). Money-wise: Exotic (level 400) armor sell for more than weapons. Chef food items sells depending on the current meta. Ascended can't be sold. Base game Legendaries can be sold, the expac ones can't. edit: I forgot to talk about harvesting. You can do all 3 (woods, metals and food items) on the same character. Nothing to level here, but the item used to harvest comes in tiers. There are permanent ones in the cash shop too, but some purchasable ones are actually better because they have bonuses drops and stuff.

And now for the not-positive stuff regarding Cyberpunk 2077.
There may be light spoilers ahead, I'm omitting any major stuff.
The three intros are very short. I was expecting, as a Corpo, to have some espionage/intrigue regarding Arasaka and my "mission" to assassinate my boss's boss.
Instead, I go to meet Jackie and a few henchmen show up, there's a few lines of dialogue, then a montage.
It's a nice montage, don't get me wrong, but I was expecting to have the option of either fulfilling my boss's wishes and perhaps get back on company payroll, OR spare my target and hope it'll pay off later.
I recognize that there HAS to be a measure of railroading, otherwise you get incoherence, but I hoped for more.
There's also a plot point that ALWAYS happens; nothing you do can stop it. I was hoping it would be a major plot divergence, where it would likely happen a certain way but if you really hit that sweet spot you could change the outcome.
Those who have played the game probably know what I'm talking about.
To be fair, that same part IS well done, at least in my opinion; maybe I'm just being a fan. XD
I've only had two CTDs, but that's a thing.
Most recently I've had the "You cannot save" bug, which is infuriating, so I had to rollback farther than I wanted.
Motorcycles are better than cars. Cars drive like sleds on sand; painful and slow. Plus, since everything's a crime now, hitting anything with a car carries the potential for getting zeroed by MaxTac. In addition, when you drive too close to a pedestrian, they panic INTO your path.
Other drivers do not react AT ALL to your path. I literally parked my motorcycle on one of the few roads in the Badlands to try to help the NCPD with yet another gang war... I come back, and there's twenty cars stuck in a line behind my tiny bike, even though there's dozens of meters of flat land to go around it.
Still, there are far worse things; like starving under communism or being under fascism or finding out they discontinued my favorite juice. The inhumanity.

You gotta kill some of them ganic coppas first . But the game needed atleast a month of bugfixing. But aside from that, if you stick to the main story and side missions, the game is quite fun.

Well that first cut scene is a dream sequence of something that never happened. Yennefer was never at Kaer Morhen with Ciri. But from the Blood of Elves book, when Triss first saw Ciri at Kear Morhen, she guessed she was about twelve years old. (she had already started menstruating) Although she looks younger than that in the game to me. Thanks I thought she was like 8 or 6 by her body size, but her face felt like an adults so found the whole thing very confusing. But her being 12 explains a lot and find her quite more tolerable now. So thanks for that. Tried Gwent today and won the tutorial fight. I'm a bit closer to understanding it but eons away from enjoying it. ---- Yakuza Like a Dragon Went back to the Premium adventure and did the first Millennium Tower. And it was way easier than I expected. It did open a second tower which will probably beat the snot outta me, but like, take victories where you can and stuff. Witcher 3. Made it to the White Orchard, played Gwent, got a man hanged then ended up quitting when the guards knocked me out the second time. And sure they were in their rights, but still, rude.

Winter have gone in Mineral Town. I made some money with the gems found in the cave near the iced lake, and took care of my animals (I can't cultivate anything in winter in this game! Shame!!!) Winter Holyday have passed with Gray and his grumpy shipper granpa (the blacksmiths), and after the end of the year food feastivals, I've decided to propose to Gray to became my farmer's boyfriend. The guy is a cutie. I still have to unlock any of the new interaction, but all is good. Fun and relaxing.
I guess I'll see if I can get to the marriage phase, than I'll put SoS in pause and start something new.

BG 3
I restarted a few times, because I wasn't happy with a stat or a spell. I've settled for another Tiefling warlock, of course she worships the Great Old One (Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fthagn). I'm now ready to go for earnest. I'm really happy with this game. It looks beautiful and it feel like D&D (I play D&D since forever).

Quantum ConscienceIf a game gave you a choice to read minds and then you figured out partway through the game that good and bad endings depended on whether you did or did not read minds... oh my gosh. like. I'd read minds 161 times by the time I figured out I wasn't supposed to be! And then there is this Gold Button of DO NOT PUSH sitting at the top of the screen! what a mind fuck, gotta say. Totally gonna read that again.

I choose bikes over cars because other than the annoyance stated above, you can get stuck in a silly traffic jam. Most of the time the car right in front does not move even though nothing is blocking the pathway. I'll park the bike on the pavement or if the target zone is not enclosed, I will ride it into the mall, alleys, etc. That cannot be done with cars which is why I'm not bothering to buy them. I'm saving the money for other things. If the car is free, I'll get it but hardly use it other than to call it up to throw something into storage.

RA3 while I give Cyberpunk a short break. Two matches:
Playing as the Imperials (vs the Allies) using the high-risk/high-reward Refinery rush. If it works, you get a massive economy boost; if it fails, you've just blown 10,000 credits to let the enemy know you didn't build any defenses.
It paid off, and I train a force of Jet Tengus, Striker VX's (walker/helicopters), and Tsunami Tanks.
I set both the Tengus and VX's to their aerial modes for faster maneuverability. The tanks I leave at base for protection.
The big advantages Jet Tengus have over Apollo Fighters is that they never have to reload and they can attack both ground and air. Their big disadvantage is that they're less durable and a tad slower.
1-on-1, Apollo Fighter beats Jet Tengu in a dogfight, but the former has to rearm at an Airfield.
Anyway, I'm able to harass my opponent enough to keep them contained while my Psionic Decimator counts down.
Shadow and screams tear the Allied base to shreds, and my Chopper VX's launch missile barrages at any survivors.
The Empire casts a long shadow indeed.
Next, I'm playing as the Allies again, trying out a different strategy.
Basically, I'm staggering Pacifier FAVs to create curtains of fire that become impossible to cross.
The Pacifier FAV is a hovering assault vehicle that, when mobile, uses heavy machine guns. When deployed, it uses Collider cannons to bombard an area with micro-munitions.
They double as excellent defenses you can literally unpack and place elsewhere as needed. While my strategy is effective at deterring Soviet and Imperial aggression, it lacks anti-air, so I either need to expand with outposts (slow-growing but very safe when successful) or realign my defensive perimeter.
I opt for a balanced approach; I send a squad of Multigunner IFVs (fast rocketeer vehicles) to my exposed areas while choosing two key locations to expand.
My team of Apollo Fighters provide much needed air cover while I build a comprehensive defense of Multigunner Turrets and a handle of Spectrum Towers.
I lose out on outlying resources, but secure the more stable income from Oil Derricks.
Meanwhile, my Proton Collider is now fully charged, so I rain down fire and light on the enemy base, while finishing the fight with yet more bombardment.
Victory.

Played this game Immortal Fenyx Rising and had a lot of fun. Played this game Cyberpunk 2077 as well and had a lot of fun to. Then i played this game just to see what it's like. I can at least say that i am a NOOB. Edit: Uh where are my heroes ... no heroes in GW2.
