Reflections ~Dreams and Reality~Last post on it. Leo's route gave me some smiles, that's for sure. It was pleasant fluff all the way through. FYI, the Main Character has a power that leads people to call her the Magic Mirror. She shows you your true self. However, it seems to at best, give her a headache, at worse, put her in a coma for three days so... she's not interested in using it. There are SO MANY Love Interests. 9 of them. Crazy. I'm gonna rate them in preference. - Leo- He actually needed your magic powers for a good reason. it was standard fluff, doesn't mean I didn't like it. Frankly, the writer REALLY NAILED what a crush feels like. As a woman who has intensely crushed many a time, the writer was really speaking my language. I also like that you get to stay in your mansion and not leave your best friend, Sol, living alone.
- Blanq- Doesn't need your magic powers at all. I feel like there had to be more to his story, but I guess it really was a clear cut case of utter devotion since childhood. I liked his good ending, because we at least visited Sol between adventures. I liked the "bad" polyamorous ending even more.
- Sol- I guess Sol never needs your powers because he's never hiding from his true self. The childhood best friend that literally helps you get with other people and never told you his feelz because he didn't want to rock the boat. I think that's a trope.
- Wynn- He needed your powers for a good reason too. I kinda hate when the love interests actually need the MC, it makes me feel guilty for not picking them to help them. He's a sort of tsundere. He has too much dere to be a total tsundere. And this route had a lot more Thyria in it than I'd liked because apparently they are siblings. I'd missed this fact on the common route.
- Sho- uh, he sort of needs your powers? What a jerk, honestly. All Tsun with very little dere. For a guy who has nearly been through exactly what youve been through, he certainly didn't learn the same lessons. Maybe because he didn't have a childhood best friend were-cat.
- Ronah- maybe she needs your powers for a good cause but daaang she is about as close to non consensual as you can get. I randomly got this scene where she unilaterally decides to enter your bedroom while you're sleeping and spoon you. These actions are not acceptable from any gender! jeebus!
- Cara- she thought she needed you for your powers, but actually, her problem has nothing to do with hiding from her true self so... Also, it's about as boring as you can possibly get.
I did not bother with Thyria, who declares your love for you for putting a bandaid on her forehead. She is also very very loud and angry. I don't know who Peony is and honestly, I dont think this game needed another love interest. She was coming off as weird as Cara with none of the shiny princess kindness and all the weirdness of maybe being like, a secret assasin. No idea. She's a weirdy. Flaws: Since I just read most of all this in the same 5 hours, the writer definitely lost track of whether MC liked tea, hated tea with a passion, hated ALL bitter things, but liked coffee. it was such a weird detail to not keep up with. It was the weirdest when MC teased Sol for drinking his "leaf water" and then the next morning asked for a cup of tea. Additionally, I wish there had been friendship paths. If I could have helped Queen Ronah with her Kingdom while NOT kissing her, I probably would have. Also, I am left with a lot of lore questions: 1. What is a mermaid contract, how does a mermaid get one, then continue getting them, why does it give them legs. 2. Are there all types of were creatures? how did the same woman give birth to a were dragon AND a were wolf? Is this a common happening, does the mom just have to be human and bang a random animal? how does this work? 3. Random mentions of children just "getting magic"... is this totally random? somewhat genetic? one got magic at 8, the other at like 12- is it a puberty thing? like, tell me

I've no idea what you're on about phoray, but I love reading your ramblings Believe me, the plot of an Otome game can get real weird real fast. There are fans of the genre that love the trope of an LI that keeps you in a cage for comfort and safety, sometimes even if you don't like it. What's the weirdest I've tried to play... I think the one that was the best kinda weird was when I tried to romance V in Mystic Messenger. His literally crazy ex girlfriend becomes obsessed with you in a weird jealousy based way and tries to woo you into her dark sensual cult. If you choose to do so, you become her right hand woman, and V, your original LI target, is too weak to the two women he's loved most and participates in cult sex orgies with you and the Villain. I didn't choose this route, only saw the start of it and read about the rest. Saving another love interest FROM the cult is MY priority in that game. I've really enjoyed delving into romantic visual novels, since I thrive on plotty romance stories with choices.

I've played My Candy Love for several years...then got bored and deleted my account, though I still sometimes visit their wikia to look at the illustrations also tried their more fantasy oriented one called Eldarya, but didn't really enjoy the plot (case of 'transported to other world and your their savior')
and did a few by Rinmaru games Oathbreaker (finished a large chunk of the first season, there's a second season now) which imo. isn't so bad...there's several romance options some of which are female. they also made a sci-fi one called Cardinal Cross (available on steam) also did Ascension but that one is currently being remade with no definitive release date

They are full of rape and incest and just poorly written all around. I think the only reason people give good reviews is A. They don't read it as rape because its all fantasy and some fans even like their digital BF to lock them up B. It's very pretty artwork. I lurve'd Oathbreaker because it fullfilled my half elven baby fantasy I'd forgotten I'd had until I played it like a month ago. There are 4 chapters released of Season 2 at this point, but I think the author has decided 8-12 episodes, and I'd rather play them all at once. I did play 2 chapters to get some resolution, and that is where I got my elf baby. at the rate she releases, I believed it's every 2 months? I think it's going to take most of 2021 to make the entire second season. I got no complaints- faster than Dragon Age at this point I've heard of Assension but haven't tried and I've never heard of Cardinal Cross, Ill look that one up. These are my top 10 of the almost 100 VNs I've read/attempted to read. (I'll include where I got them from and their cost right now) - Mystic Messenger (phone only). Free to play, but I ended up paying money because I wanted to support them and read faster by the 6th time I played it. But the speed is honestly not that bad, the first few times I read it I was totally fine.
- Cinderella Phenomenon (PC, Steam) FREE
- Akash: Path of the Five (PC,Steam) 30% off right now for $14, really well done. Full voice acting, and its good voice acting. Original Music too.
- Changeling (PC, Ichio and Steam) 50% off right now for $10
- Royal Alchemist (PC, Steam) 10% off right now for $18
- Animal Lover (PC, Ichio and Steam) $10 on steam right now.
- Arcade Spirits (PC, Ichio and Steam) 50% off right now for $10
- Ebon Light (PC, Ichio) Name your own price. I went out of my way to give them $20 after I'd played it, because that's how much I enjoyed it.
- Love Ritual (PC, Steam) 80% off for $2.39 right now on Steam
- Oathbreaker I and II (PC window browser) Free, as you know
Mystic messenger, Cinderella Phenomenon, Animal Lover made me cry at very sad moments in the game. Arcade Spirits (you can play either gender) really got me to feel as disappointed and frustrated as the main character but that also meant I was emotionally connected enough to feel the relief and joy at the good events. Changeling had great lore and I was on the edge of my seat for the climax. If you liked Carver from Dragon Age 2, you're welcome, because this game comes with your own annoying twin brother who almost seems like he's out to make you fail. But just like Warden Carver, reconnection is possible and so satisfying. Love Ritual had me just floored by the reveal, really well done, but I only liked one of the LIs of the two available. Royal Alchemist (play either gender ), Ebon Light, and Oathbreaker are just solidly done. Oathbreaker is incomplete, so it's hard for me to put it higher on my list until its finished.

Vacation is lovely. Gaming and writing. Writing and gaming. Red EmbraceM/M erotic romance done oh so well. No genitalia, but there are some BDSM erotic elements and I think this is awesome, but some people may not agree. I actually initially made the mistake that the MC was just an androgenous character, and named them a woman's name, but the pectorals indicate male for sure and I changed it to more of an Androgenous name. Andi. Feel like you want a protector? Go sit in Dominic's lap Feel like you want to BE the protector? Scoop Luka's bad attitude into your lap. Feel like you want an equal who hurts himself to protect you? Rex is your boi. Feel like being the pawn in someone's plot but you don't mind so much? Then Issac is your man. I'm not submissive at all, but I liked Dominic's the most. Then Rex, for being such a self sacrificial cinnamon roll. Then Issac; how he manipulates you using his MIND CONTROL POWERS doesn't please me, but even the bad ending had him loyal to you. I liked Luka the least- none of the rest of the LIs are willing to sacrifice you as far as I experienced out of the 6 endings I got. If anything, kinda felt like Luka deserved his bad ending, and it's not often I want something BAD to happen to an LI. Flaws: It suffers from the problem of needing a guide to achieve the good endings, imo. I only naturally got Dom and Rex's good endings, and I found the route to Luka's good ending downright opaque. If I have to use a guide, my immersion is officially broken. Second flaw is that the MC's personality changes based on the romance. MC is happy to be subby with Dom but then wants to be Dominant with Luka. I know that being a Switch is a thing, and even relationship type can be tied to the Who you're with, but in a narrative, it just makes the MC more like a Chameleon and less like a real person. Hawke I know you didn't like this, so I guess I just chalk that up to having only some moderate overlap in what we like regarding VN, go figure. I know we disagreed about Hustle Cat

Luka was kind of fun, though. Or at least had his priorities straight - vengeance first, random dude second. --- On the topic of good VNs: Analogue: A Hate Story (sci-fi); Arcade Spirits (retro-futurism); Coming Out On Top (slice-of-life; comedy; NSFW); Doki Doki Literature Club (slice-of-life; reading content warnings is recommended); DoraCone (slice-of-life, not exactly remarkable, but nice in general); Fading Hearts; Hustle Cat; Ladykiller in a Bind (slice-of-life; NSFW); Long Live The Queen (fantasy); Loren: The Amazon Princess (fantasy); Red Embrace: Hollywood (vampires); Roll+ Heart (slice-of-life);
I guess, I like choices in VNs and the ability to poke stuff with a blade, sometimes (in the slice-of-life VNs) figuratively. Though, I am not fond of mandatory romance (i.e. "romance" the NPC or get a bad ending). --- Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition. I've completed the main game and the expansion, the Heart of Winter. It was decent, I suppose, but dungeon-crawlers are not exactly my genre. --- Divinity: Original Sin II. I decided to give it another shot. This time with the barrelmancy build, which should remove 2 things I strongly dislike in this game - painfully slow combat (now everything dies in 1 hit) and colour-coded equipment (that is to say, trash still drops abundantly, but I can safely ignore it). So far so good.

Been playing Watch Dogs Legion and so far I'm not very impressed. The random npc stuff has created some very crazy looking people, and the voice work for them is atrocious lol. Also all the activities so far have made this pretty much feel like it should be called Watch Dogs Busy Work. Pretty much just go here hack this, or destroy that etc. With no real substance to any side quests or characters so far. The writing for dialogue is also terrible, I don't think I've ever come across anybody who talks like any of these people, and clearly somebody though the more times you drop the F bomb the better your writing must be..
Anyways at this point I'll burn through the main story and try to finish the game, but it's def my least liked out of the 3 games.

Immortals Fenyx Rising I maaaaaay have sacrificed a few horses to cliff deities, in hopes their sprint with make me fly farther. But hey, they poof nicely in mid-air, so I can assume they're already friendly spirits, right? No harm done? Aside from questionable travel habits, I'm taking my second pt slow, doing daily mission and progressing a bit every day, doing main missions in complete opposite order than I did in first pt. As for mobile gaming... I finished two out of three difficulty modes in Lords of Heroes. I really like the idea of connecting story in different difficulties, instead of rehash or complete lack of it. Unfortunately there's no story for extreme, at least not yet. Maybe it's better, considering I need to buff my heroes for it. I'm surprised how much I enjoy the story and characters. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's so rare in mobile games which main point isn't story, that sign of any quality grabs your attention. I also progressed a lot on my new King's Raid account. While I'm missing a lot in heroes department (I may have gotten my main team to not-good-but-acceptable level, but I used to have couple of somehow competent teams), I actually managed to get to the same point storywise as on my previous account. Got even further in fact, since they added new chapter, but it might be my wall for a while.

Today I finished two games I played and enjoyed again. First, Mass effect 2, with my canon Johanna Shepard, several months after M1. She has tonight ended the threat of the collectors, now alone in her chamber into the Normandy, while looking at a picture of her boyfriend Kaidan, remaining loyal, a quality that is part of her core personality. Her background :Year 2172. An old random military report written a long time ago by a random Alliance officer. Name: Shepard. First name: Johanna. Place of birth: Grozny Identity: Daughter of a young woman without resources, a prostitute with mixed origins ( it is assumed she came from Georgia ) who illegally immigrated to Poland, poor nation of Earth, and a young man known for his vices, a deserter soldier of the Alliance who fled in this country, met and abused that young lady, abandoned her with a child in her belly. Presumed dead on the street after the birth of her child, with grief and despair, without any decent medical care according to the reports and indifferent testimonies. No relatives known. Johanna Shepard never once met a member of her family, alone. Nationality, localization: Inhabitant of Earth, living in eastern Europa, the child never got any polish papers and never was aknowledged as polish, rejected by the polish administration, if not the local population, probably seen as an invasive immigrant cockroach, stateless. Speaking polish, french, and english, mostly thanks to the multicultural megalopolis gathering a lot of ethnicities and in which she lived and grew up all these years, where it is the common language. Mostly Caucasian, a mix of Ukrainian, Armenian and Turkmen origins, which explains her very olive skin, her striking blue eyes and her black hair as dark as night. 8% of her genetics also comes from North Africa, indeterminated. Psychological profile: Shepard's IQ is measured at 130, well above average but hardly genius level. Surprinsingly high for a young woman who has lived in such terrible conditions which maybe against all odds could have stimulated it in a way. Orphan since her birth (in an orphanage until she fled at 13 years), she learned to survive in a very hostile environment, with only one education : the street. Despite a lack of obvious knowledge - She unsurprisingly knows very little of basic human and alien history-, she has a very developped intelligence and maturity. It could be interesting to provide an additional school curriculum to fill her lack of culture. Also not to mention an impressive and natural discipline deeply rooted in her. It is not forbidden to believe that her serious participation for years among very dangerous gangs, - as she reluctantly admitted -, could be somewhat responsible of that. She thinks very quickly, reacts quickly to orders, and she has an extraordinary capacity to adapt to her environment and to exceptional changes. A veil of hardness and impassiveness crosses her face, she learned for sure to hide her emotions, a very good thing. Very motivated, more than any other among the news recruits, the army is obviously the only thing that allows her to prove her value, her only source of good and well being, her only family. She will do everything to succeed. Rigorous, attentive, and focused, a huge potential for a successful career. As astonishing as it is, after already three months of harsh training she never flenched, never cried. It is obvious that she has experienced things that hardened her shell, nothing seems to scare her. Optimal notes with the assault rifle, excellent sniper ratings, and a very bold use of the shotgun. Her extras activities, to strengthen herself, such as fighting sports, also plays in her favor. Perceived as a sure value, trustworthy, admired by her mates. She possesses a certain talent for command. If, as I anticipate, in the remaining three months of the military basic training program of the Alliance, she was to become first in her promotion with the same impressive results and impeccable attitude at the final tests, I would recommend her without hesitation to the rank of corporal. --- I'll wait for M3, apparently, there is a new mass effect trilogy coming in march 2021. Finished also my playthrough with Jenny the Survivor !A total nerd, that can handle anything with a computer and electronics, medicine, and incidentally a handgun, when necessary. Kind, generous, although often bitter and ironic with a dark humor, she was not made for this brutal world, she will no choice but to harden herself over time. That doesn't mean she's going to let the world burn even more. She has done everything to make it less sinister. I used the mod that removes the kid's story. It's better without honestly ! And finally in Skyim, my Redguard, has finally joined the stormcloak as a mercenary, followed by his loyal huscarl, Lydia. Why the Stormcloak ? The Empire without any justification, without any need, decided to cut off his head simply because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. No justice, no trial. No hesitation. No more legitimate rules to follow. The order is artificial. That seems simple, but it is in small details that you can realize how the empire is crumbling, totally corrupted and useless, totally submitted to the Thalmor. With the Stormcloak, even if they are not very warm and welcoming with foreigners, we might have hope for brutal changes.

Destiny 2, finally tried it.
The gunplay is great. The mission log is incomprehensible. The lore is amazing.
I love the "Seventh Seraph" weapons.
Titan so far seems my best class, but Warlock is up there. Haven't tried Hunter yet.
Sunbreaker, Sentinel, and Dawnblade.

So I just had to share this picture of this amazingly lovely lady that was a quest giver for me in Legion. I could totally take whatever she was saying seriously...

I'm nearly finished with my firs tBG3 playthrough. I reached the end of EA, but decided to go back for some sidequests. And I want to tackle the spider cave - spiders and I ... let's just say, it's a problematic relationship. And you have to fight Shelob in this cave (not the real Shelob obviously, but a spider that size and power) - I tell you that, because it's not really a quest, you can do it or not, doesn't matter. Just something, you stumble across. There is some nice loot in there though.
I'm planning my next playthrough and made 3 new character, I want to play.
First is Lyra Asriel, wood elf cleric of Corellon Larethian (the elven god) - it's something of a premiere for me, because I'm an atheist in real life and not really fond of religion topics. But in DnD, it's not about believe - you know, that the gods exist, so I thought, it's a bit different. And COrellon stands for art, knowledge and magic, which I can get behind.
Then I have my rogue Siona - a lighfoot halfling. Isn't she the cutest?
And of course another Tiefling, because they are the best: Taena is a wizard
I will also play a ranger, but I haven't decided on a race yet. Maybe human. ANd I want to play a Githyanki to see, how Lae'zel reacts. But my Gith will be a bit nicer. Playing evil in this game so far is really stupid and I hate playing stupid.

Immortals Fenyx Rising
I maaaaaay have sacrificed a few horses to cliff deities, in hopes their sprint with make me fly farther. But hey, they poof nicely in mid-air, so I can assume they're already friendly spirits, right? No harm done? Aside from questionable travel habits, I'm taking my second pt slow, doing daily mission and progressing a bit every day, doing main missions in complete opposite order than I did in first pt.As for mobile gaming... Was going to wai tuntil after I'd don eAssasin's Creed befoe rI started on Immortals thoug hnow I'm kind of tempted t ojump into Immortals first so I can give it a go before the DLC' s come out for it as they might end up cloggin gm ySSD up too much for my other games. Then move t oAssasin's Creed afterwards. So I'm thinking Immortals wil come next after Halo. Currently playing the second mission of Halo 1 atm though so still got a fair bit to go yet. Especia;ll ygiven I still have 2,3, ODST and 4 still to do

Today I got totally fucked by Mordheim: City of the Damned.
I spent an hour an a half playing Act II-III of the Skaven campaign, which is a big old story mission in a palace that's pretty difficult (there are 10 of these missions per warband). I was trying to figure out how to get to the demon on the balcony to kill it as it wouldn't jump down. Turns out, after playing the entire map, there was no way up there. She was supposed to jump down and was bugged.
No worries tho! You can shoot her!
Yeah, my 3 ranged guys were all out of action.
I had to abandon the mission, causing every guy in my squad to be considered out of action and therefore have a roll for injuries. One lost an eye and is essentially useless. One became so dumb he wouldn't be playable unless in combat, and I had to fire him. One of the guys I've had since the start simply died.
I am so unbelievably pissed. If they died and were injured thru my stupidity, which has happened many times, then fine. I take it on the chin. But to die because there was literally no other choice than to abandon the mission, because of bug, with a warband I've spent 90 hours working on, is hideous.
If this was a physical game I'd be tempted to throw it out the fucking window.
