Well. The game has endings, lots of them. Not even funny ones, like Crossroads. I died 3 different ways, there is probably more. Romanced Matt with no murder mystery resolution. Tried to focus on the murder mystery the 2nd real time around and got arrested for my troubles. The third time around, I followed a guide (oh joy) and romanced Carl with murder mystery resolution.

My impression of Matt is that there is nothing particularly interesting under his Alt Appearance (Punk?). Him appearing as he does is just aesthetic and had nothing to do with his personality. Carl comes off as a playboy, but they twist it to be the misunderstood trope that I appreciate. At least there was another layer to him, and I consider our time at the beach to be the highlight of the route (building sand castles, awwww) Ray's route, which I actually attempted, I have no idea what the goal was. I think because of him being the murderer the writer tries to get you to go with someone else by making it difficult to even hang out with him. so as far as I can tell, his route is just a red herring.  And they could have done a cool romancing the villain thing with it. Missed Opportunity.

Looking for clues is also a red herring, because if you do so, you actually get blamed. Weirdly enough, the route to a happy ending in a romance visual novel is to try to be friends with all the non Love Interests and not just hang out with your bae.  GOOD LUCK STRIKING THAT BALANCE if you're not following a guide though. 

The murder mystery was actually pretty easy to see through. The way Ray is drawn, if you go with Carl to the beach, he straight up says Ray went missing during the time of the murder, and even if you don't get that, Ray acts crazy violent later on. 

On the writing front, I was disappointed that when you get to choose about hearing from your LI's history as a dialogue option, you never actually hear about their childhood. you just get a "we talked and had a good time." Like...could the writer not even fill in even a medium of these guys' back stories? I literally learned barely anything  about these characters by actually going on their routes. that's the point of romancing someone, so you can learn more about them. 

I gave it a thumbs down on steam. But didn't ask for a refund because I finished it, and am more just disappointed that it could have been better. It wasn't terrible, it just wasnt't good.

So I have my family, with teenage son and child daughter...the teen son recently aged up, and promptly dies of embarrassment

Finally did something I probably haven't done since the 90's.

Started a game with virtually 0 knowledge of it going in.

Usually I'm the type of person to watch guides, livestreamers, and reviews before I even get the game. I go in with a lot of knowledge beforehand, and generally have an idea what I want my endgame to look like despite never having played it.

However, this time I got the game unexpectedly for free. It's one that's been on my radar for a while now but other than a paragraph of base game concept I had no clue what I was walking into. It's entirely refreshing.

Well there's Fallout 4, and I believe jack's VA is in that.  Are we talking about Enemy Within? If so I'll have to wait to play it, as I'm on Enemy Unknown rn

Yea hbeen alternatin gbetween games a little bit latel ytoday though I've been playing Halo 3 currently lookin gfor my AI friend Cortana in the Cortana mission.

I think they need to do a little better with the pacing the constan tneed to dash t obe effectivel yneed to be in 2 places at once can b equite annoying. especially if you're not too good on the controls but yeah it's not a bad game in general if you can handl ethe controls. I think my disabilit ydoes make this game a bit hard to play because of this but I will give it another try at some point later. I casn handle th ecomba tit's the need to effectively be in 2 places at once for the puzzles that makes this game difficult.

AC Valhalla isn't nearly as pretty as Odyssey. Hard to make swamps and marshes as beautiful as greek islands. But you can literally run along the entire length of Hadrian's wall if so inclined. That's pretty fucking cool.

I've been playing IWD and already questioning my party composition. My only mages are a Bard and a Fighter/Mage/Thief and, boy oh boy, the spell progression on the bard is incredibly slow. I knew it would be a lot slower than a regular mage and I was fine with that, but I did not expect my F/M/T and the bard to be on par in regards to which level of spells they can cast. That's... really disappointing. The Bard's caster level is through the roof, of course, but that's not very usefull if it's progressing like an F/M/T in regards to spell level.

Have also been getting into Cities: Skylines again.
