Facial animations are laughable. Nobody cares if aliens look weird when they talk - they're aliens! - but Cere is just awful. All the other humans so far are either holograms or wearing helmets, so you'd think they'd be able to do one face well. Apparently not. Can only imagine the shitstorm if this was a Bioware game.
The games I have played subsequently to MEA have nearly all had worse graphics including facial stuff and not all had better story or combat/gameplay IMHO and most are AAA games. Yet nothing has been mentioned, not that I go looking for that stuff it really does seem Bioware is held to a different level of scrutiny. Maybe that is justified, maybe it isn't but there does seem to be a lack of objectivity in some cases in regards to Bioware games again IMO.

EA PGA Tour 2023
Did a couple of practic erounds and started m ycareer and been a litle hit and miss in some cases so far but not all bad as whilst I double bogeyed the firs thole I managed to recover ove rthe rest o fthe front 9 to get my score back to even par so I'm happy with that atm. Still got to do the back 9 though s o hopefull yI can finis hthe first round wit ha good score in my first tournament as I started with an Amateu rtournament at St Andrews in the game. Would love to get 1 or 2 under par by th etime I get to the end of my firs tround. Felt a bit weird that double bogey in the firs tthoug hgiven a few minutes earlier in my practice round I got a birdie there. Still goes to show how tricky sports games can be sometimes as whils t the 3 click system does make golf games easier to play it can still be tricky getting the ball to go where you want it.

AC Odyssey
Well, finished opening everything on the map and I still didn't get the Poseidon achievement. I'm wondering if it includes the DLC shipwrecks. Bummer. I've yet to check the list.
In the meantime, I'm on the Cult hunt. The Gods of the Aegean Sea and Heroes of the Cult members are all dead. The other branches have a few sour grapes still hanging. The ones at the bottom are more or less found through the main story.

Yeah, but his uncle was a catalyst for that. Well, time to see what is Sebastian problem and, also play a game here: True but thos echoices were stil l his own h estill chose t od owha the did. His uncle ma yhav eforced his hand a bit but he still could have handled the situation better. For example wit hthe goblin h ecvould have use Accio to pull the goblin towards him and awa yfrom Anne or used Depulso to push him awa yfrom the pair of them but he used an unforgiveable instead. Also I don't think there was any need to use the killing curse either True enough on another note, and here we are exploring the stars in the Astronomy Class. We also gain a new tool thanks to a fellow student who wants us to assist him on a small task:

Hogwarts LegacyBeen forgetting to mention that I have been trying to make a more concioencous effort to complete some of the Dueling Feats I have been missing...like levitating Dugbogs by their tongue and/ or burrying Matriarchs in the ground and well just trying to figure out the language of such things. Ostensiably this is to just grind out more experience points since I am not fairly confident I am racing towards the end of the game but here we are and getting some final talents. Though in theory this is also giving me a head start on maybe a future playthrough of the game. Of coruse since I do not know when that is maybe I will forget everything I have learned and planned since then and it'll be a moot point. Took another stab at racing Imelda on what should be the final time trial...and somehow I did worse then I did the last time. Last but not least attended History of Magic which seems to be a side quest but man is it one of the funniest things I have seen in this game yet as Honor had to try and stay awake. The facial animations were perfect though I do wonder what would happen if she succombed to her boredom. *snort*. San Bakar's trial. Another surprise here as once more the game didn't resort to more puzzles to solve things. Instead it tied in the Beast element of the game into the main story and dealing with...the Lord of the Shore.
Most say it was obvious but still chill raising when you could kneel before the Graphorn to gain its respect. Kind of a weird twist given I had to blast the thing so long but it also redeams the whole beast plot in the first place given the...interesting means I have used to aquire said beasts.
Of course the bit where you charge with the thing through blockades of poachers was a real treat and really reminded me of the bit with Highwing.
San Bakar's memory was the final piece of the puzzle we needed in a few ways. First off the Ancient Magic doesen't just suck pain out of people but all their emotion...which makes a fair bit of sense since emotion= pain. Second the real heal turn here was that Morganach was practicing it on students.
So yeah, a lot of problems there and Honor now understands the price of this kind of power in the first place. Also seeing the lengths that San Bakar went to ensure her defeat, using the Killing Curse, really drove home the point.
Still while it was presented well and the logic does follow I can't help but feel we have still missed a few things. Unless we get more expansion from Morganach later right now she has descended into a fairly unnuanced video game villain. Really wish we got a chance to talk to her portrait... Loggok's LoyaltySo he is Ranrok's brother and he got killed for helping me. Again powerful scene. Not much to say though I guess, lol. In the Shadow of the Relic/ FateCome to it at last, basically the culimination of Seb's plot in the entire game and what he has been doing. And he too basically went full bat shit insane as well. Figuring that the relic would require a dark sacrifice and he was going to use it to control dark magic, I guess testing it on Inferi, but he mentioned his belief that he could control the curse.
The uncle interrupted us and then quite insanely destroyed the relic which set off all the Inferi...one hell of a massive struggle ensued. Honor was pretty much forced to defend herself as the path had already been comitted to. Though in the end Seb used the Killing Curse on the uncle. Anne saw it and took him away.
In the follow up though. Seb is kind of a typical case oscilating between guilt and 'I did what I had to do'. He kind of has a point as it was more or less self defense but in the end of the day his uncle wouldn't have had to act if Seb hadn't gone down the dark path in the first place. He did show some remorse for his actions, but not enough.
Which led to another difficult RP choice because I understand his motivations and I still like the character well enough but since I was kind of hoping he would turn himself in and take responsibility for his actions...Honor recommended that Ominis goes to Professor Black. Going to be curious to see how this plays out for future characters.
Oh and Honor did put her foot down and refused to learn the Killing Curse. I think this could qualify as part of her own come to jesus moment, as it were. The Moon and the CentaurNot a lot here, Poppy and me saved the day again and rescued the Golden Sniedget's...after leading a whole bunch of dark wizards there in the first place. Though the Centaurs come riding in to save us was rather epic.

And this one is spoilery, but so funny, because it is supposed to be a moving moment and my little quaggan was photobombing again and I had to laugh : Miniatures always photobomb that scene in the most comical ways. I need to play through the last Living Season 2 episode with my Necro too and get my little shade to photobomb it...

Uncharted 3
Finished the game. Was so worried about Sully and so relieved his death was fake. I almost bought it because it was so telegraped. Heart warming ending. Game was almost as good as the second one. Everything in the desert was awesome. No rage inducing boss fight this time, instead a number of annoying encounters prior where I kept dying. The difficulty scaling was weird. I picked Easy (there's one even easier, that's Story) and for more than half of the game I could stand in the open and bullets barely made a scratch, thinking they made easy a lot easier and finally my kind of carefree action romp. Then at some point I started getting one shot by shotguns again like in the previous two games. How is getting one shot easy mode?? What's more punishing than getting one shot killed?! Oh well. I made it through some rough fights in the end. The one with the fire devils had me screaming profanities.
Now I'm actually fond of Nate and Sully and Elena and kinda have to know how it all ends. UGH. So looks like the other two game collection is not available on PS4. So either I have to buy Uncharted 4 and the spin-off for PC or buy only Uncharted 4 for PS4. (Not really all that interested in the spin-off because I still don't care for Chloe.) The price tag for both options is ridiculous though. I'm not paying that much for an old game. Will have to wait for a sale.

SWTORI did something stupid a few weeks ago. After 7.2 dropped, I converted conquest commendation into FP-1 stabilized because I was getting near the max for conquest. That was a while ago. When I restarted playing a few weeks ago, I didn't know what to do with the FP-1s, so I converted them into tech parts...which are pretty easy to acquire if you do conquest and are part of a large guild so it wasn't really needed. And now I'm reading a gearing guide and if I had kept those FP-1 I would just had needed to use to them to convert one item a few times to unlock the max ilevel mods already instead of having to run Red Reaper 25 times. Arghhghg. I'm not going to run Red Reaper that much. Ahahaha. I still had enough to get to two steps under max ilevel and I'll probably get enough commendations by next week to convert and upgrade the last two times required. And those tech parts were used to buy tacticals so it wasn't a total waste... --- On another subject, my Sith Warrior is clearing Nar Shaddaa these days. Trying to find one of Baras agent to murder, but he's hiding behind another Sith.

I finished the tomb and am now going back through the village to blast open all the doors I couldn't before and found yet another ice slide, this one leading to the mining ops area, I think. So, after killing a giant beastie that ambushed me, I stepped into what I thought was a maintenance shed that turned out to be an elevator that took me back to the top of the slide. Luckily I saved before doing that so hopefully when I load up next time I'll be back down at the bottom.

Been just hooked on Persona for the last two weeks. Except been jumping between the games. So did a little bit of Persona 5, since I wasn't at home and my brain gets less nervous about the confidant ranks in that one so I can pick it up in two weeks time or more without feeling stressed. Spotting a lot of fun little details, like Mona sneaking in some scenes and characters passing by in the background. It's neat.
Then finished the bloke run in Persona 3 Portable. Was 4 ranks in fortune away from full social links so that was a bummer. The ending bit I was so excited for was a bit disappointing. Mostly because it only had the main girls and not Chihiro. And the lines were so so. (Okay they were touching I'm just not that big of a fan of those romances). So naturally started the chick run right after, because I am a fan of Akihiko's voice. Using a guide this time around, except when the guide is learning skills I'm partying in Tartarus, doing vision quests and stuff. Even smacked the Reaper one time. Fun times.
Then took a break yesterday to finish the P4 episodes in Persona 4 Arena ultimax. Got some good chuckles out of it. Did enjoy the story, didn't care much about the baddie but the chatter was fantastic. Then found out that there are P3 episodes and another episode chunk so I'm not even close to done. So picking that up later.
Also played a bunch of the Persona 3 and 5 dancing games. Invested in some extra songs and was a bit miffed that they're cutscene songs and not in game dancing, but well, it said so in the description. Koromaru's song made it worth it though. So Freaking Cute. So basically been having a grand old time.

And those tech parts were used to buy tacticals so it wasn't a total waste Ha, I was capped on all the currencies for ages before 7.2. So upon the new patch I immediately outfitted an alt with PvP 332s, ran a FP, got a blue 332 from first try, upgraded it to 336, did the quest for mods and had a 336 toon in probably less than an hour. Ran a few FPs, got 334 and 336 blues that I sent to a few alts for the quest, but only geared one of them to 336. For a long time now I have enough 334 and 336 blue stuff to gear out dozens of toons, but it just rots in storage. I don't play any relevant content for that high rating.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Hogwarts LegacyBasically...finished the game. And now I am struggling on figuring out what to type though it was fairly epic and really helped elevate the game back up. This story does hit (most) of the right notes. Though the worse aspect of the game, the bugs, struck again but in both hillarious/ really annoying fashion...as all such bugs usually do. During Professor Black's speech at the end somehow the game triggered the dialogue from Imelda Reyes and her little victory lap she does when you lose on the Quiditch time trials to her complete with me having to choose dialogue options to answer her...and the students all kept on phasing in and out of reality. Honestly while I have chosen what game I am going to be going through next on my own there is some slight temptation to start it over, which does speak to its quality. It probably doesen't do a lot in terms of variance on these choices but I am kind of curious to see how some things will go differently, though there is YouTube for that. Also surprised at the amount of video I took in this. Always makes it a bit difficult in terms of canon playthroughs and who should and shouldn't be canon when you got video of one character, what, do you have to redo it? Oh! Something which has been bugging me for awhile but wanted to run by everyone. The timeline..and Wizard life spans as they seem to be able to live a lot longer then us normies. So I checked and did some numbers and unless I am mistaken Dumbledore should be starting his Hogwarts term the year after this takes place which was rather...coincedental. But I have kept wondering in the back of my head if he would make a cameo as it were in here but guess not. More apprepro though Honor/ the Protagonist would only be in her fifties during the rein of Grindewald. It does add a little more context, especially with the ending, and makes me wonder what occupation she would choose afterwards. Auror would be the obvious choice buuuuuut that might be a little too on the nose and not something for a Ravenclaw. Perhaps teaching? Maybe the OWLs will tell me? The Final RepositoryI am actually very surprised they had the cojones to do this but they had the cojones to do it. For awhile now I have been actively wondering they were going to do a Battle of Hogwarts considering the end of Deathly Hallows and how wrecked the school got in that, that it would be a bit...weird. Though technically it was under Hogwarts.
Still it was perhaps the second most epic moment in the game watching all the teachers show up to defend you and work with you. Brought a small tear to my eye. Sharp and Hecat for the win.
So the least surprising thing ever but Honor ended up choosing to contain the magic and then sharing it with the rest of her comrades, after all when she dies someone else has to keep the work going.
Yet it was funny...and speaking of wondering how it will play out in a different timeline...but Ranrock instantly comes in when she makes the choice, blasts the Repository...and turns into a dragon. Here me and Honor was like 'now hold on I didn't know I would turn into a dragon if I unleashed the power of the ancient magic.' Though it was properly evil looking, resulting from the pain no doubt.
The boss fight was a little on the...bi polar side. On the one hand annoying given it had its...glowy weak spot gimick...But then you did have to concentrate on it and well concentrating on it left you open to attack. But the musical score did help there.
And Professor Fig did die in the end too with Miriam's wand. Another thing I am surprised by, but shouldn't be, the body count. Harlowe's Last Stand/ Acting on InstinctBit of a whiplash situation here but this quest didn't even trigger for me till Fig and I were already entering the Repository so all the story meomentum was going towards finishing the main quest. So it was kind of a weird let down when I faced this huge ass dragon and now had to face this really random guy. Though it was tense since I wasn't even expecting a fight so I didn't go back to the RoR to restock my gear that I burned through in the Ranrock fight...oops.
But yeah in the end Natty saved Honor from Harlowe's Crucio and realized that it was what her father did so her character arc was complete. Yeah borderline favorite character though can't help but have some sort of a soft spot for Seb...
And Officer Singer ended up not being involved with Harlowe. She was just incompetent. Lovely. In the Shadow of FriendshipSo the wrap up of this particular questline and the Seb arc.
And when I saw that Seb wasn't there and that it was only a certain character I told my wife "Well that's Ominis."
And it was since Seb did indeed get expelled and is now facing trial at the Ministry. Not an unexpected outcome, just a hard to bear one.
From there Ominis did reference that Honor and him had grown close...interesting word choice. And that he was happy I had come to Hogwarts. Both of them resolved to still be his friend and hoped he would understand if they ever saw each other again...but I do doubt that is going to happen any time soon. Poor kid. Poppy BloomsWorse named quest in the game honestly.
Poppy has learned to appreciate human relationships as well as her animal ones and wonders if Highwing will be accepted at the Three Broomsticks. While I doubt that'll happen, well it probably will off screen. So yeah in case I don't get to it while this game did bug me and bits of it kind of overstayed its welcome at times incase I don't get to it still managed to push the boundaries of a tier 2 game. Played much better, but it still ended up being very enjoyable. GTA OnlineFirst time in the game I think I started to feel comfortable...well with the controls at least, not the tone. Started off with a GTA past time, stopping cops from investigating a crimscene and well...shooting them. *cough*. From there though started to mess around a bit as we...stole a helicopter maybe for some reason? Flew around for a bit, got distracted by a plane crashing, did that then and since it did so in water had to dive down and got a bit weirded out on the controls so I drowned. Wife died but we still got the money I am quite sure at that point. Ran away for a little while and confirmed that friendly fire is a thing since me and wifey sort of shot at each other out of mock annoyance. Then she had to steal a car and that caused a ruckus so I shot someone trying to bother her. First mission of the night was a bit of a wild ride as we went to this drug den or something to help this guy out. Another gang showed up, stole his RV so we were tasked with getting it back. I actually had a lot of success blasting away from the rooftop with my Heavy SNiper rifle and blasting away though most of them weren't one shot one kills. Then cleared out the place with the RV as we took cover by some drums in a nearby building. Blasted away with a heavy rifle and took out what I could. Then got the RV and got in an extended firefight. Wifey as a tactic decided to go opposite on the freeway which threw them off our trail, for the most part.

I actually finished all stories in P4AU fairy recently myself. Enjoyed P3 side more than P4, but that's just because I'm more attached to P3 crew. I knew there was P3 side, but Episode Adachi took me by surprise

Yeah the gam edoes hav esome annoying factors but I do think the good outweighs the bad. I don't think it's a game I could do back to back playthroughs of though like I can with Mas Effectand Dragon Age. Mostl ybecause I don' t enjo yit quite as much as Bioware's masterpieces. I thin kit's good enough t obe a comfor tgam etha tI wi ll wantto revisi tfr5om tim eto tim ethough But it's a gam eand world I can see myself revisitin gfairl yfrequentl yi fonly t oenjo yth ewa ythe wor5ld looks and it's comba tbecause for me those aer m yfavourite parts along with the companions. The puzzles could be a bit awkward sometimes especially the Merlin trials as after I go tthe firs tcouple o fupgrades thoug hI stopped doing them. But generally they'er no ttoo much more difficul tthan Dragon Age's. About the only thing I don't like about the game is how it locks quests until you meet cretauin requirments. If you feel read yto do a quest then you should be allowed to do it. But really that's my only complaint. Fai renoug hi fyou need a certain spell to do a quest but there was no need to gate the levels I don' t think.

I headcannoned my Lucy and Poppy set up a farm/magical animal shelter together after their graduation. Not sure about my Sabrina though that I recentl yfinished. I could see he rdoing something similar or working with Natty on a project.
