Honkai: Star Rail - Basically playing with the endgame. Starting to max out units (in particular a free character Dan Heng, I have max gacha dupes already and I've maxed his levels/traces(talent points)). I have some of the new 1.2 patch story to catch up on this weekend if I can. I've reached an account level where every difficulty unlocks, as well as rewards, so its all about clearing stuff and grinding. I don't anticipate myself caring much about gear (called relics) grind any time soon, but I'll otherwise have a very strong account that can handle almost anything. HSR spoiler music video: Dan Heng was first (and for now only, tho I'm close on couple more) character I've maxed as well. Also same here about relics. I can clear everything without difficulty except hardest levels of MoC (which I would most likely be able to clear if I wasn't stubbornly only using my favourite charactes), so I don't feel pressed to grind. Especially since once you start relic grind, it never really ends I love this song so much, I hope we get it as Express music

An extract from The Sword of Destiny. For those who haven't read the book. Essi Daven (also known as Little_Eye) was a young poet, whom Dandelion loved like a sister, and to whom, on her eightenth birthday, Geralt gave a azure pearl, set in a necklace.
The ballad recounted the story of a certain witcher and a certain poet: the circumstances of their encounter at the seaside, amid the squalling of gulls; their mutual love at first sight; the sincerity of their love; their indifference toward a death that could not destroy this love, nor separate them.
Dandelion knew that few would believe the story told by the ballad, but he didn't care: One writes a ballad for the emotion it conveys.
Dandelion could have changed, some years later, the content of the ballad to reflect the truth. He did not. The true story was indeed moving. Who would hear, indeed, that the Witcher and the poet parted and would never see each other again? That four years later, Little-Eye died of smallpox in Vizima during an epidemic? That Dandelion carried her body in his arms, far from the funeral pyres burning away in the city, alone and quiet, into the forest, and buried with her according to her wishes, two objects: her lute, and an azure pearl with which she was never parted.
No, Dandelion kept the first version of his ballad, but he would never sing it again. Not ever, for anyone.

God of War Ragnarok. And now the side quests of this game are even surprising me a little bit here and is a great improvement over the first game. I think of course part of it is that Kratos isn't actually bitching about them this time, almost like the devs knew in the first game that their quests were very low tier so its like 'we know you are doing this just for the XP and loot'. Very low effort busy work. And I will say not a lot of story involved with them so far, at least connecting to the overall story of the game so pretty episodic unlike say the Witcher or ACOD... but they do the other thing that side quests should do. Lore expansion. World building. Character expansion. A lot of little stories are being told with Mimir and now of course Freya. Which is also a little bit of a treat. Though the collections are still kind of arse and weird in its own way. I do finally confirm what the Odin Ravens were...and I killed my first two of them. The second one was really hillarious because I entirely just randomly threw my axe at this random rock and...a raven died. It was weird. So speaking of side quests though never really want to spoil side quests but then they keep on geting so good and don't want to spoil the surprise. The WEight of ChainsThis quest basically involved us freeing an animal, a rather large animal mind you, that Mimir enslaved entirely by his own volition. And I teared up.
It got to the point where Kratos and Mimir were going back and forth whether or not the creature could be saved or even should be mercy killed. And Kratos was quite cross at Mimir given his own slavery background.
In the end though freeing the creature didn't do much good because the creature didn't exactly move. "It had gotten used to its chains" *sniff*

Yesterday, I continued my journey with my paladin in Skyrim. Finished the Companions questline and cured myself of lycanthropy. With a pure heart once more, I now joined the Dawnguard (had never played the DLC before). Unwittingly freed a very old vampire lady, rejected the offer of her father to become a vampire lord myself and now I am recruiting people for the Dawnguard in order to hunt that menace down. This quest will finally bring me to the western part of Skyrim, which I haven't explored yet at all. I'll take this opportunity to look around a bit and finally explore Markarth and its surroundings. But here is the cool bit: I still felt like playing Skyrim but not Thoralyon, my noble and faithful Redguard paladin character. Instead, I really wanted to do little bit of sneaky thief gameplay. So I started a new Character, a female Bosmer (woodelf) called Nox, who doesn't give a shit about dragons, the empire or the Stormcloaks, the Jarls and their troubles or any of that stuff. She is just some poor street kid, whom the winds of fate swept to Skyrim. Now, thanks to the alternative starting mod, I had her start the game by escaping from an abandoned prison, where she was locked up (probably for some crime or another in her past). In my head canon, she and my paladin character are actually two parallel stories playing out in the same world. While Thoralyon, the paladin was in Helgen, is following the path of the Dragonborn, fighting dragons, becoming Thane of every hold in Skyrim, building huge manor houses and generally amassing a lot of fame and glory, Nox the thief doesn't care about any of that and rather makes her way to Riften to join the thieves guild and eventually the dark brotherhood. This works really well because the way the alternative start mod is set up, people do talk about rumors of dragon attacks and that there was some catastrophe in Helgen but as long as you don't go there, it just stays with the rumors. And as long as you just don't go to the Jarls (I mean, why would a lowly thief go into their houses other than to steal stuff anyway) and just don't do the same quests, you can pretty much imagine those two characters inhabiting the same world. I mean, sure, there is some overlap but it works to about 90%, which I think is quite cool. Now I can switch between those two characters at will, depending on what playstyle I want, the hero who charges in with sword and magic or the stealthy murdering thief and it's basically the "same playthrough". I liked Dawnguard and Serana became one of my favourite companions. All your PT talk is making me tempted to play it again, I especially like the sound of the alternative start Mod. Mmmmm something to ponder. AnDromedary It's been ages since i played am I better off installing MODS first before downloading the game or after? Is NMM the best place to get the MODS from? You have to do a clean install of Skyrim before installing any mods. I recommend using Mod Organizer 2 (MO2). It allows you to install mods into profiles, separate from the game itself, so you can create different profiles and test out mod combinations without actually changing the game. The only mods you need in the game folder structure itself are basic things like the script extender or ENB. Everything else is going into the MO2 profile. It's really neat. I recommend following this guide, at least until Step 4, when they start actually installing mods. But all the system setup they explain there is good for any build, even if you don't want to use their mod list. Hope that helps.

I didn't really play this. I learned there is a jade bot mini and I decided to get it. Very boring task. It cost research notes (1000 of them) and I only had 2 of them. These can only be acquired via salvaging certain things using special kits. Turns out I had plenty of materials to make lots of potions that can salvage into research notes so I made lots of those and auto-salvaged them and bought the jade bot mini. Took like 10 minutes overall. And now I got a cut little bot following me around.
Then I made more research notes because despite what people were saying, it doesn't use the kits in your inventory and I wanted to save some bank space. Now I'm wondering what to do with them, they are mostly used to buy recipe for jade bots modules and crafting parts for those...
I also did a tiny bit more story on Istan that didn't have a lots of battle, mostly chit-chatting. Now I got to go parley with a pirate.

Mafia Definitive Edition. Finished the main story today. Got kinda tired of the combat and the cars by the middle so trying again on Classic is a massive nope. But the story is still a blast. Was so itching to replay Mafia 2 during it. Need my Vito fix. Never got arrested in the game, so that was a change from my original run. Granted was just driving at 40 unless the game demanded I’d hoof it. Made it easier not to steamroll people too. Did really enjoy the remake, looked very pretty, the voice acting was good and I liked the changes to the story.
Mafia 2 Classic Decided to go with the old game for the replay since I don't think the Definitive Edition is supposed to add much to it. Was just going to poke my head in and see if the view of the ride from the airport was as glorious as I remembered it and ended up playing bit into chapter 2. The view btw, was amazing like before. Granted had to fiddle with the resolution since the game is going it's my way or the high way and the buildings didn't appear right unless I had the settings like the game wanted it. Enjoyed moseying around town at the start and getting greeted by the old neighbours. Love love love how many little details are going on. Like a cat snuck into the apartment building you go into and it hisses and flees when it sees you. And one of the tenants is spying through the door and slams it shut when he sees you. Also do like that you move in the area between missions, unlike the game before when you are teleported between them. Makes it more enticing to wander about and see the sights since you don't have missions constantly hovering over you. Combat feels kinda wonky, but it's a 12 year old game, so understandable. Did miss the speed limiter but found out post session that I can in fact turn it on. Or am supposed to be able to, so next session will be glorious 40. Don't know if I'll do the whole game, but figure I'll be quite tempted.

God of War Ragnarok
Well this was the most frustrating play session I've had with this game yet and kind of a murphy's law kind of thing going on involving some, uh, interesting choices of the side quests.
First off essentially raided an Elven library for lore information and the like. Didn't really learn that much either which was kind of underwhelming though I will say at least not yet but then it is curious it completes basically after the collection of said information. The librarian also started to beat on us and maybe got a little cocky based on recent experiences but on the other hand I did try out an 'all in' kind of approach in trying to deal with him. Fun thing though about it after defeating him Kratos didn't defeat him and made a reference to killing an Elf last time being very bad and not wanting to repeat the mistake which was cool. But then the Librarian was very quick to just let them go despite being all wanting to murder them for taking the book in the first place. Worse part of this whole thing though was that Kratos got perhaps a tad preachy? Maybe an odd complaint and I can certainly being annoyed at censorship and knowledge sharing...that can be a way forward to peace...but given how everyone is all like explaining and nuance all over the place I mean this was essentially one of the first times Kratos has just come down hard on an issue I guess.
Second on the day just another quick quest to free the second one of those things which is just annoying that it was largely more of the same just with even more puzzles. Kind of some pay off though when they mated, guess they went away, but there is now hundreds of little sky jellies. Which is nice.
Random exploration brought me to I think one of these bonus boss things which was confusing. Seems I have to bash something in order to actually do damage. It hits hard. Is grindy. So retreated.
Night culiminated in me going around circles of a barrel for dozens of times.

Managed to gett othe point where I recruited Captain America yesterday. Thinking I'll leave it there for now as I'm moer in the mood for a moer action style game s othinking I'll return to Mass Efect or Dragon Age. I'm half tempted to return to my Griffindor at Hogwarts but not sure abou that. Mostl ybecause I'm leaning towards playing ME given how close I am to finishing m ycurren ttrilogy run and the fact I'm kind of half tempted to start an MEA run after.

Did my first Legion event in Diablo 4....basically a whole lot of chaos with multiple players running around killing things and teaming up against some bosses.
In the campaign I finished Act 3 and am now doing local side quests and opening up more of the map. Created a seasonal character, female Druid, but haven't done anything with her yet other than the intro. Now that I know who the wolf is in the prologue, I decided to watch the whole cutscene again.

Beat Five Nations. Not the easiest RTS to get the hang of. I do wish the campaigns were race specific but I do understand they were going for a concise campaign.

How is the game? I've played all three previous games from Diablo I to Diablo III. Is this game any good?
It's similar to the previous ones, just a lot bigger. And maybe darker? 3 was pretty dark though, and this one seems to follow suit. Lots of new characters and some old ones popping up here and there. The second half of 3's main campaign seemed kinda rushed so I'm hoping the same doesn't happen here.

I finished the first episode of LS4 and I'm puzzled. This is my fourth time doing the last boss fight. Twice on Reapers with similar builds, once on a Mechanist and now on a Harbinger...and I get the achievements for not getting downed/falling off the platform on the "glass canon" Harbinger by just standing around the edge of the platform. WTH!
That first was surprisingly super easy this time, maybe they nerfed it or something. Or I'm way more reckless on Reaper/Mechanist. Or maybe it's easier if you play ranged. I don't know. Anyway, now off to investigating some Inquest base.

So over the last two days I finished MEA, it is a I think a good game and it is a shame a lot of people gave it up without finishing it because I think the end game stuff is probably the best part of the game. Yes there is some poor VA work especially for Sara where it isn't quite nailed, there is some stuff that is not adequately explained as to how it works, the animations are still not 100% but I always enjoy it even if you can tell it was a bit rushed. Combat in the last part is fun and challenging on the higher difficulties and having key characters involved in the end fight is really great. The biggest problem is there is probably (like DAI) a bit too much exploration bloat which makes it a bit of a drag getting to the end. I took 226 Screenshots from the first visit to Khi Tisara so obviously not posting all of them but that part of the game is just so pretty and has a lot happening romance wise and other stuff. Sara romanced. Cora, Suvi, PB, Keri and Avelja. Quite the feat!!!! Whilst that is fun next time will be a single dedicated romance. I had default Scott as the Brother, next PT if there is another will be with him as the main character as I am not sure I have ever done that but enjoyed his performance and animations even in the small time you control him at the end. Didn't quite get to 2,000 hrs which I thought I would, landed on 1,914 but skipped all the random events on Eos and Elaaden. Pic's - managed to keep it to twelve.

Did a little bit of ME 3and Hogwarts today .Thinking of returning t oME 3tomorrow to continue playing throug hthe Citadel DLC and mayb efinish the game. The actual finishing the game ma ydepend on how much I decide t odo DLC wise though. If I do manage to somehow do it before th eend o fth eda ywhich I doubt then I'l probably move onto MEA.

dazk I feel exactly the same way you do about Andromeda. My biggest gripe with the game is all of the loose ends left untied. Like who was the mysterious Benefactor? Who killed the founder of the Andromeda Initiative? What happened to the Quarian Ark? I wish that BioWare had ignored all of the haters and continued with their plans for Andromeda.

I am currently replaying ME3 but am burnt out on Mass Effect. I've played them back to back to back 3 times two years ago. But now I get burnt out. I am up to the part where I have to disable the Geth fighters and then go to the Reaper base on Rannoch. The thing about this playthrough is that I am using a few mods like the LE3 Community Patch, and the happy ending mod, Citadel Epilogue Mod, and the Miranda as a Squadmate mod for the first time. So I am looking forward to complete the game and I do enjoy ME3 as much se the first two. I'm just burnt out.

WOW daunted much after looking at the guide. So discovered straight off I had installed old Skyrim so uninstalled that and installed SE but am confused as to whether Ineed to purchase the anniversay addition or does clicking on the "Anniversary Upgrade - AU" link do that? So have gotten to the part about XLODGen and am confused as to what to do. I am not sure what I am supposed to download as there are so many options when i click on the link? Is it this one:

Agree, you can find out what happened to The Quarian Ark by reading the book: Mass Effect Andromeda: Annihilation There are two other books before that if you didn't know: Nexus Uprising (you get more information on Sloane and the Uprising amongst other stuff) and Initiation (details on Cora's Pathfinder training amongst other stuff including more info. on Alec) then comes Annihilation
