Has anyone else been having problems with BSN lately, pages taking forever to load the site taking forever to load posts not posting etc? I have cleared cookies and history multiple times, logged in and out multiple times but using BSN has become like a visit back to dial up for me. It isn't happening with any other websites????? lol, it just hung on the "Like" I gave your post and wouldn't let me quote you. [Stay on page?]
Yes, it's been prevalent and noticeable the past few days or so, to me at least. I thought it was my net or VPN getting screwy but other sites work as-intended.
And this happens just after I come back? Coincidence? Hmm... Maybe it's my fault, or maybe it's DKR not feeding the hamsters.
DragonRacer has anything changed recently with the site or are you the wrong person to ask?

Yes, I noticed it. If the page doesn't load, I don't wait for it. I go to another site and come back later. Sometimes it doesn't load completely, I refresh and it works normally. This post didn't go through fast enough so I closed the page and came back in btw.

And so we are here, after the las calm interlude we are thrown right into the middle of a big issue on Jedha. Thanks to an Imperial raid we are now being taken aback as we try to defend the place (I had to do some restarts due to game issues therefore interrupting the flow):

I have cleared cookies and history multiple times, logged in and out multiple times but using BSN has become like a visit back to dial up for me. It isn't happening with any other websites????? Now that you mention it... God of War RagnarokSpeaking of the save system once more got a little tedious that once more started back from where I stopped for my last play session. Its really weird, pretty sure I haven't mentioned this, but even though you start off in a place where you didn't leave off...I have noticed that even if you loot chests and stuff after the 'checkpoint' but before you saved they are still looted. Its so bizarre. The quest for the Lindyworms continue though through the realm of Svartlheim. Kind of a greatest hits of the area, in all respect, with some new dialogue to. First off had to go back through the 'forge' area where I got the spear in the first place. And then an even bigger surprise though well the second little lindyworm that I got from the land of the Dwarves. Curious thing though because took me ages to get there as I tried out several ways of getting there which ended up being dead ends. In the end though it was kinda a neat concept because there is an area of Svartlehim where there are mines under the water and that is where the Lindy is. Even neater and more surprising this also looped back around to where Tyr was. A new boss seemed to have moved in? And Mimir had a lot to say about things so there is that. With all of that done off to Vanheim for stuff. Closed the last Hel Tear very quickly and it was a good thing I decided to look up the solution to all of these problems because it essentially told me that the next lindy's are going to be in the same area you unlock when you continue the main story from here. Which again good thing because the game is heavily implying a point of no return is fast approaching so I wasn't too keen on finishing. Speaking of... Creatures of Prophecy
Not much to report here as I didn't get far but we found Freyr's camp abandoned. Freyr has been captured by Odin's forces! Which I spoiled in looking up and making sure about the whole Lindy quest but a relatively minor one.
Only one Vanir was left and it ended up...really hard to remember name...which was also apparently a shape shifter that was cursed to be a boar. Relating to God of War 1 that was the Boar that Atreus shot that Freya wasn't happy with. Interesting tie in. He didn't hold a grudge.

If you are around 50, you can do the capstone dungeon
I am level 55 so did the Capstone last night. Almost bit it on the final boss but managed to take it down - it reminded me of the Malthael boss fight in Reaper of Souls.
I'm making progress in the first region - found all 'areas' but I'm missing 3 side quests and have 7 more aspect dungeons to clear. No idea why I have such a hard time finding the Lilith altars. Based on the ones I've claimed, they are fairly close together so it's weird I have huge areas on the map where I haven't found any. I thought for sure there'd be at least one in the final areas I identified but nope, nothing.

I bit the bullet and upped the difficulty to Tier 3 Nightmare to get better gear drops and crafting items. Lo and behold, it worked. Now outfitted with better gear which I have upgraded and imprinted and I'm doing not too bad in the dungeons. Played around in Helltide but what I got for my efforts didn't feel worth it so went back to regular mode. Cleared another stronghold which generated a couple side-quests.
Not sure if I'm getting bored or just want to try something different. I hate going back to level 1 after being mostly OP but at some point I would like to try out another class.

God of War RagnarokSo the end game that i snot apparently the end game rolls on considering this game has introduced another new gameplay gimick which might also be relevant in the other realms...at least some of them...maybe. Cool combat moment today launched the axe at a creature which froze it and recalled it at point blank range to whack the thing in the face. Also Freya does seem to be another slight bit better companion then Atreus is. Though honestly in either case both of them are quite good and, dun dun dun, if DA had just one companion this sytem is servicable. But given there is more then one. Fun launching attacks from a distance with the arrows which build up stun and then Kratos goes in and then does the whole finisher thing. Had some synchronization with Freya leaping across chasms and then landing on the other side. It was cool. Creatures of ProphecySo the new gameplay mechanic. More fun with dogs as I met...Skolt and Hati? Anyways though we also retrieved the moon from the Vanir which did have its own interesting connotations to. New enemy as well, sort of. Oh but apparently this is what Heimdal was after in Helheim...oh that rhymes kinda...I don't know how Atreus reached that conclusion, but he did and it makes some sense though interesting that the moon is somehow related to Hel. So there it is. In the end now we can control the time of day which has...results. GOnna have to keep that in mind.
After returning to the camp we did another switcheroo. Atreus went off with boar man and Freya joined with Kratos. Kratos now trusts Atreus to fight on his own. The mission, to rescue Freyr with a lot of moving parts, a three stage plan.
As expected given the quest name we had more conversations on prophecy. I almosst hate going on about this so much but this is by far the most fascinating part of this game. It is a rather interesting take on the whole destiny concept which kind of had similar thoughts but this game has helped crystalize it. Because its basically a matter of perspective, we make our own choices which are the choices we would naturally make but if someone is really good at predicting those choices...well that is fate isn't it? Anyways Atreus is really worried that they are heading off to Ragnarok and Kratos is like 'propehcy cannot dictate our choices' which is brilliant, but also tinged with sadness because that is just what the Norns expect you to do. Meanwhile Freya is worried about them not changing enough and thinking if they 'change' that would be enough to forestall the prophecy. But of course if the Norns hypothesis holds up that is nature plus choices then its a kalidiscope effect because if you know someone's nature well enough to predict their choices then you can also predict how they will change. Kratos asked her if she no longer sought Ragnarok...and she ignored the question sort of. Saying that Odin needs to face some sort of justice for what he's done.

I've started up a Dhampir in WotR. I used mods to make him a nice hybrid of a few classes. I'm using Sword Saint and Aldori Swordlord for some nice dueling sword melee stuff. And tweaked in some Primalist Bloodrager and Mutation Warrior as well. I like to RP that the Mutagen he drinks for some buffs is actually little blood vials and that when taken also allows him to tap into the blood and enables the Bloodrages.

Took a break from Diablo to go back to AC Odyssey. Finished up the quest of Sokrates' trial that wasn't, then took on a couple of the 'lost tales'. Didn't care for them too much - Daughters of Lalaia and Really Bad Day - but at least they aren't in my journal anymore! I think I still have 5 to go. Back to the main story, decided to pick the one starting closest to my current location - something about a sphinx, I think.

Most people seemed to love A Really Bad Day, I thought it was a Really Frustrating Quest. Daughters of Lalaia I thought was OK.

Fallout 4 The survival permadeath run continues (strictly speaking run #6). I've avoided the main plot to 'tank up' and things are going well. Venturing into Nuka World and Far Harbor. Automatron will be the big test.

So have been playing Skyrim for the last two to three days not much to report because basically I started a quest which I assume is a MOD quest called I think "Steampowered" according to the journal but is a base you get when you finish. The place is called Clockwork Tower all though I'd call it "Hard and Tedious Work Tower". The quest warns you that you will not be able to leave till you complete the quest, no worries I thought won't take long!!!!! Hotel California maybe it should be called because you can never leave!!!! The biggest problem was that the journal was often not helpful or incomplete quest markers were completely absent or unhelpful as the didn't show up or down and there were multiple levels as well as the place being a rabbit warren. On at least 4 occasions I thought about just going back to an earlier save and I did once teleport myself to Falkreath just to prove that I could. So three days of gaming later and after some much rage induced frustration, some helpful online cheats later I got it finished. "Killall" is now one of my favourite console commands. Was it worth the frustration and tedium? Well the story behind the characters was mildly interesting, some people thought the story was sad I didn't get that at all. Shale's backstory was far better in DAO. I already have the Tower of Levelling (another rabbit warren: base and I am pretty certain I'll never visit this one ever again. So it was definitely not worth the time sink. I am also a bit lost without the main story arc to follow, love it or hate it. Everything just seems a bit aimless, so will just try going to the cities and picking up the tasks to become a Thane to get houses but I can see this getting tiresome quickly. Currently at Whiterun, met Uthgard beat her in a fight then got to know her much better somewhere private. Pic's Chopped some wood for Giffre, thought that led to a quest for her but nothing?? Shot a Mammoth a Giant was unimpressed so shot him as well. Wandered some tunnels and ruins being followed by this Ghost Found Clockwork Tower and the resident Butler and still not sure what the other residents role is

Yeah, I figured all the Atlantis stuff is basically 'post-ending' but all I did was kill the sphinx by solving her riddles.
Then I started another lost tale, this one about the poet. Should have known Alkibiades would show up again but he wasn't too annoying this time. I've only done the first half, locating the stolen lute; next up is running all over creation finding stuff to fix it.
"Killall" is now one of my favourite console commands.

Final Fantasy VIIThis game got very weird. Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith get involved with an underworld super gangster that is also very much of a lethario and is very much hated. Hmm I know I kind of missed a log entry here so hope I don't repeat myself. But it involved going to three of his LTs, finding out how to get into the selection of women of which Tifa was apart of and Aerith was worried that she had gotten in over her head. So first up had to go to this neat arena place which I hope we can go back to because apparently you can get summon materia from that. And then from there well there in order to get Cloud in...he has to dress up as a woman. Which is incredibly awkward. And weird because everyone is talking about how hot Cloud is as he is walking around which I get maybe what they were trying to do...but that's still a dude. I mean Aerith was in a very girly dress standing right next to him and Cloud is dressed like she is in mourning and just very closed off...sense, it does not make anyone. So me and Aerith go to this little auction thing which coincedentally needed only three women in it. And despite the game talking up Tifa's looks as being perfect for Don Corneo... he feels up Cloud's muscles...hears Cloud mouthing off...and chooses 'her'. From here things break off. Don Corneo gives Tifa and Aerith to the rest of his men to try out 'gross'. And then he has this little weird mustache thing, tatooed, overly made up, and spunky. Gross. Also has something weird going on when he keeps on taking a picture of Cloud, he says its basically to 'stop her from saying no'...how? *eyebrow raise*. Anyways from there Tifa and Aerith reveal they are secret bad asses, go through all of his men, the door guard reveals he hates Don Corneo...pretty good writing there since it was pretty set up. Aerith and Tifa fight to get Cloud out. Cloud beats up Don Corneo, and all of us face him off. Which then something happened that was both good but also really pissed me off. So the three of us start interrogating Don Corneo about his plans and the plans of Shinra. I think it was a bit odd that Shinra would let this random gangster in on what they are doing but they are after Barret, Avalanche, and willing to drop the plate on the Sector 7 slums to do it. Only thing is during this entire time I was thinking 'wait why are you telling me this? This is cliche at hell'. But then it occurs to me that the other time baddies tend to be chatty is when they think they have a fool proof way to victory. Which then Corneo was like 'when do bad guys get all chatty'. And we get one of the few dialogue options in the game and the middle one was 'because they think they can win.' Well I still thought about it bit torn between middle and bottom, but went to click on middle and Corneo was like 'time's up! I think I can win!' and then he dumps us in the sewers. Which yeah pretty pissed that I didn't know there is a dialogue time limit, don't think the game makes that obvious...and thus I wasted the one good chance at dialogue...unless that is supposed to happen? Of course though it really isn't that different in the end because it also does give us a way of getting out. We are all three pretty bad ass people so we are able to cut through his initial pet and some monsters down there. Some puzzles later and we got out of the sewers... and into a haunted graveyard. So now this game has the whole 'we will continue the story after the break'. Of course Tifa is uncertain Shinra would be THAT evil which is kind of odd really given the lengths Avalanche is going to stop them and we also see a cutscene where the President and the Security head is all like muhahahaha. And then the two Turks we've fought earlier are all like 'wait is this something we should be doing?' and then the other one is like 'sure' and then they are both like 'muhahaha'. Of course its the only real way to work. As I mentioned a couple of times by now Avalanche, at least the radicale sect we've fallen in with, are eco terrorists who don't care who their actions work...so the only way to turn them into the good guys? Make the bad guys into complete mustache twirling mass murderers. Fifty K people die if that plate falls. Don't know the stuff about the ghosts and where this is going, but we are fighting ghosts now. With swords. God of War Ragnarok. Two things about this game. On the one hand its hyper annoying that we have this thing going on where it gets really insistent on you doing the side quests. And it does it in such a way of 'hey Kratos you might want to do this one thing before moving on.' We don't need to be reminded about side questing neccessarily. This really came to a head when recently the game was like 'OK Kratos this is your LAST CHANCE to do any side questing'...twice. And even worse you get to Musphelheim to actually start it and only then do you find the second seed for Musphlehim to start off the OPTIONAL crucible challenge like in the last game. Sigh. Kind of jerks the pacing around. And like this game is just one of those games where their really isn't anything majorly wrong with the game, no big flaws aside from maybe the save system. But even then that just highlights the point because even then that has just been more annoying then anything. SO no major problems but a lot of little ones. Which may keep it from Tier 1, but then again this game may also be a case where the game breaks free of all those flaws because I am really starting to get tempted on giving this game a Tier 1 rating. Becuase its just so damn sad. This might be the saddest game I have ever played, just a low key sense of forboding and inevitability hanging over these characters in the background of their lives as they deal with this. Spoken a lot about prophecy in the spoilers of this game but it really is true. Just even though they are trying to ignore it the future knowledge they have is just constantly trying to hang over their heads and despite them making their own decisions they keep on getting forced into making these choices by other characters in the narrative. And well the sadness is just dialed up to eleven in the end to because its the ending so the 'fate of Kratos' is also not only over their heads but the players heads so there is the legitimate thought that this might be the last time that father and son see each other. A very at times strained and complicated relationship...but they did find each other again. And tearing up even writing this. And Bear McCreary's music really isn't helping...ugh there goes the water works again. Spoilers! Ugh I gotta lot to catch up on. Creatures of ProphecySo alas we get to the next big moment and the moment of this entire thing. Heimdal shows up. Because he makes a choice to be a dick and follow Atreus no matter where they go because he does not trust him. Bumps into Kratos, Kratos kills Heimdal because Heimdal just does not leave it alone.
Heimdal is actually a pretty good boss fight and almost did it with very little health to. But actually a pretty cool gimmick with him being able to read your moves so you try out more and more attacks on him...until you are able to break through and kill him. Well done.
From there we go off and escape on Freyr's flying boat but are intercepted by dragons and Brigvir, character I barely know, sacrifices himself to save us but Freyr insists he is still alive. For Vanheim! (Side Quest)And surprisingly Freyers ends up being right.
We track Brigvir to the 'crater', a seperate mini map area on Vanheim that was ravaged by some cataclysmic event. Given there is a frozen lightning bolt in the middle of the map we can probably imagine what happened. The game lets you know there is a series of quests in the region that can let you expand the lore, did one of them, bit tempting to do so...but they aren't actually marked on the map and given the pacing issues decided to leave them either for now, maybe a second PT, maybe look it up, who knows.
But off to finding Brigvir we find the last tow Lindy's and a big honking dragon of which we have to fight. From there we get Brig home. Unlocking the MaskTeam Kratos regroups at Sindri's house and discuss their options and what has happened. The Heimdall death makes it clear the stakes are raising and they are one step closer to Ragnarok at the end of the day. So Atreus volunteers to intentionally go back to Asgard to try and solve the puzzle of the mask in order to give them a leg up. He is confident that he can pull the wool over Odin's eyes...I am less confident. Everyone thinks he's nuts, minus Kratos who gives his son his vote of confidence.
Meanwhile Sindri gives him this mysterious stone thing.
And we get to Asgard and the first thing we hear is that they know Heimdal is dead but not who killed him. I think this is a bit of a dumb idea so I try and leave back through the room and am like 'raven, raven, I want to go home now'...but the game does not care what I want.
Atreus/ Loki catches up with Thrud and then mentions to Odin that he mistranslated a word and now the new translation leads to Nifleheim. This begs a lot of questions because the mask of Loki still reacted to Helheim and that reaction still led us to freeing Garm and then led to Garm becoming Fenrir the big doggy. I think the mask thing is the most on rails bit of the prophecy angle because it definitley has its own agenda and has been nudging us along closer to Ragnarok. Wonder if we'll get any reveal on that front.
So the first agenda here is to find Thor so we can take him to Nifleheim. We can't but Thrud says she knows where he is and tracks him to a tavern. He's breaking his promise to not drink anymore. It begs the question as to why though and the game never bothers to answer it...we get a bar fight though. Though maybe this is rule of cool because it might help set up the next plot point.
The Nifleheim stuff goes surprisingly smoothly for this from a gameplay and puzzle perspective. Though then it gets very messy. Odin shows up and kind of proves that he has no real agenda, guy is genuinely a dick to his family. Which is part of it and the whole thing goes really off the rails when Sif shows up with evidence that Kratos killed Heimdal and orders Atreus to be arrested. Odin countermands that order and tells his kids off. Sif is all like to Thor 'don't you see what's happening, Odin is a dick and Atreus has caused us nothing but pain.' So Thor threatens Atreus and Atreus activates Sindri's escape device...right to the world tree paths. Hunting for SolaceSo got this bit spoiled for me kinda. Youtube Video 'meet the real Tyr at the end of God of War Ragnarok'...so I knew Tyr was an imposter and given everything made a lot of sense for it to be Odin but that I wasn't still sure of.
We get back home and again Atreus is like 'guys stakes are even higher now!' the mask is completed and now again debating the next steps since he didn't actually get a chance to look through the tear of knowledge to see how to change fate. So everyone agrees that is still an important thing to do...for some reason honestly, I mean kind of get it but this does seem like continuing to up the stakes towards for Ragnarok.
Tyr mentions he knows of this super secret way to Asgard, right to the room in question, everyone gets excited...except Brok who is a Dwarf with ways of travelling and stuff challenges Tyr on what exactly the way into Asgard is. Also Tyr ahas grabbed the mask at this point. So Brok grabs it up Tyr goes 'why won't you shut up' *stab* boom its Odin.
In the confusion he grabs Atreus and the mask, Atreus gets free, but Odin still has the mask and is about to escape with it but at the last second Kratos uses the spear to stab it through the wall. Odin gets away but without the mask.
And well Brok dies. Everyone is devestated. Sindri especially.
Since Sindri messed with the process for the soul the first time it is revealed that Brok is now permenantly dead because of it.
Atreus meanwhile has huge confidence issues that Odin fooled them the entire time. The trickster got out tricked, again kind of saw it coming but man is it not effective. And meanwhile at this poitn Ragnarok, and thus Kratos's death, seems inevitable. As much as they tried to fight. So Kratos leaves with Mimir and Atreus to go hunting. The SummoningFirst up on the grand plan going to get Sutr.
Which we do quite easily. However he is reluctant about getting his wife involved in this.
So now we get to the part of the plot where prophecies don't get literal in their meaning. Kratos has fire blades and it turns out Sutr has his wife's cold heart. So he enhances Kratos's chaos blades with his own power and boom, Ragnarok. Though is this prophecy following itself or is this them actually changing things. We shall see.
But then we fight some Valks. The Realms at WarDidn't get too far in the actual war part though getting low scale SM vibes.
And this is where we get the overload of sadness. Atreus has his own tent, Freya asks Kratos if he'll be the general. And when he tries to sleep Atreus asks if he can come in and sleep with him, last time between father and son, maybe forever. He tells him a story about a wood cutter and death...didn't get too far before Atreus finished the story. DO wonder if we'll hear the end of it.
And well Kratos and Freya gives an inspiring speech about not being here because of prophecy and that we must be prepared to sacrifice everything.
Then off to war we go. The first bit when we enter Odin already has nuked the Musplheim tower to try and get rid of Ragnarok but the rest of the armies are charging. Fenrir and Angroborda show up as well and we make plans to deal with things if it does not go well.

Final Fantasy 7Just realized a lot of weird stuff seems to be happening in this game I hope some of it gets some answers. The ghost thing seemed to be going somewhere. Aerith was captured...by the ghosts to be clear...and relives some memories. Also there is some...yeah wait no my memory is playing tricks on me because turns out there was some mecha ghost behind this that feeds on sadness so everything is actually kind of explained, at least for that. And we get through the train graveyard. And well we finally get to the pillar and Avalanche and co are already defending it. Which does raise the problem...what was with all the tension of them doing their thing and Tifa just having to get there. Apparently they already knew it to get into position. Not that they were doing too well mind you. Also the thing came up because Shinra was blaming it on Avalanche...that tracks but does not hold up for long. So Cloud shows up and starts charging towards the danger. Wedge falls off said tower and gets hurt, Cloud orders both Tifa and Aerith to stay behind, which is odd. So yeah Biggs probably dies, so long Gideon Emery, and Cloud gets pinned down...eventually Tifa decides to join him. Just realized that this is pretty much just recitation at this point. But then something really interesting happens. Since Tifa told Aerith to go rescue Marlene she is isolated from everyone and the Turks see her...and decide to bail off this attack at least a little just to get her. So she is in the bar with Marlene trying to calm her down/ convince her to go out of the bar kind of does it but then Marlene starts freaking again. At this point I notice that Aerith seems to have the same color eyes as Cloud which everyone is making a big deal of SOLDIERs having unique eyes because of the Mako. It is probably nothing because eye color is not always easy for me to tell in this game/ games in general because even Marlene had similar kind of eyes but...darker? And then Aerith looked a little more clear and crystal then Cloud's more murky so *shrug* BUT THEN the same similar thing happens with Cloud happens to Aerith. The screen gets all pixilated for a second, Aerith grabs her head, and suddenly Marlene is as calm as a kitten. Interesting. Shame the Turks get their first and they want Aerith bad, for reasons which are getting more apparent...but she uses that leverage to make some kind of deal, acting maybe a little more confident then usual. Again that might not mean anything given that they are clearly there for her so she might be playing off that but its interesting none the same. Oh and the mysterious hooded figures attacked us again. On again off again on the alliance thing hope that gets explained.
