I don't know about the lore of Arisen but I have played the first game and I had the impression that the Arisen is a kind of demigod. Maybe it's retcon because now it seems Arisen are kings / queens of a country.
It seems the original gameplay / combat is improved / still there. Now they have added the ability to affect environment.
Combat and classes look good so I'm likely to get this game.
As to the ending of this sequel. Heh, it's a Japanese game and they love upsetting the apple cart at the end. Look at what happened at the end of the first game. I'm not expecting any roses for the conclusion of this sequel.
Edit. The voice for the cat character pawn is disappointing. I'd expect something a little more gravelly, not a normal human female voice.

Fallout New Vegas
The Christina portion of this little thing ended up being...well a little less convoluted then the Dog/ God portion of it. Did involve a lot of speakers and a lot of poison on the ground...but then there was ways around that. Got killed really close to death. In the end though the complication ended up being Christina didn't want to go down...Christine? Christine. For some reason I was a little bit more sympathetic to her reasons and...well who knows what was down there since it was unsecured so wanted to find a way around it to help her out. Which involved transferring the controls to the local station which needed a key, locker, password.
And for the Dean Domino section...well Dean is a dick and I'm a little bit in a death loop because speakers, boom, can't find said speaker.

It will be midnight before The Masquerade Bloodlines finishes downloading, so I started a new ME2 game. My screen looks like this most of the time, as I try to remember how to play. i.imgur.com/w3dJMji.jpg

Edit: I spoke too soon. It's now out to nine hours for less than one gig. i.imgur.com/pep97V6.jpgAnnoyin gisn't it? That's why I always start downloads at the start of the da yand have plans to do something else while it does it. That way I can just let it be until it's done and no time is ever wasted. Fo rexample if and when I go to download Starfield then I'll likel ydisappear off and play some FC24 on m yXbox while I wait. Internet speeds can be unpredictable especiall ywhen it comes to downloading games I've found so it's best handled this way. Speaking of FC24... FC24 I tunlocked last night and I managed to get a couple of games in befoer bed. Difficulty wise i tdoesn' tfeel too much different than Fifa 23 other than it is perhaps slightly faster gameplay wise. The CC is pretty much identical to Fifa 23 no significant changes there at all from what I saw at least on the player CC. I did end up slightly changing my plans as it took me a while to find where the edi tteams functoin was as it's been moved into profile settings so ended up creating my firs twomen's save then and playing my opening game in that when I found it. I haven't started on my manager career or Volta character yet but that's something I'll be doing today. I did choose my starting club for career which will be Angers in the French league so will b estarting my first career there. Just need t olook Angers up an dhave a look a tthei rstadium so I can pick one of the generics that looks like their home ground. Because when I play with the smaller clubs that's how I do it I pick a staduim tha tlooks similar and then kind of dress it in the clubs colours so that it looks like the clubs home ground when playing Fifa 23. Plan t okeep doin gthat on FC 24 as well. Mainly because it's really onl ythe bi gclubs like Liverpool and Real Madrid clubs like that that have their stadiums in the game. Admittedly most of m ycareer modes I'm playing a sone of them so mos tof th etime I don't need to worry abou tlooking up stadiums. It's only really at the star tof a career do I need to do it really and if the randomizer gives me a small club. Mainl ybecause I don' tfollow every league and club in the world mainly the big European ones like the Premier League and La Liga stuff like that really.

FALLOUT 76 Wondering where I have been? I got into F76 after Stronghold 3... Now here is a daunting question... What do you do when you got so much excess steel and are tired of selling it? YOU DO THIS: Just another way of having a reserve and freeing that stash.

Fallout New Vegas
Didn't get that much done today but it was fun none the same. Bit hesitant because of the death loop I was in yesterday plus long day at work so knocked around in Madden for a bit. But did get here and essentially got Dean to where he needed to go and then started going to the final bit for the Gala event.
Its just been a real fun role playing experience in dealing with all three of these people to get them to behave and getting them to do the funky chicken. Dog a bit sympathetic, but kind of tough love I guess...ugh trying to figure out what I did about Dog actually...but did get him to stay put. Christine listened to her advice and then did what she wanted by rerouting the controls to the upper station. But Dean? Well he didn't want to stay around either because of course the music will attract the Ghost People...so I threaten to break his legs and leave him there. Not kill him. Just I suppose the logic is if he was going to not do anything we'd be dead anyways so might as well 'kill' him slowly.
And well haven't really had much of a chance to bring out 'angry' Raylan this playthrough yet. He does get angry in the show often...so it does fit. Just imagine him speaking in his angry voice southern accent.

Not realy sure how to feel about FC24 yet because on one hand I want to like the nwe features and the 2 nwe womens leagues they've added. But on the other hand they've ripped the immersion of the game to shreds. I usedto love hearing the club/competition anthem songs and seeing the players walk out an dthe lineups announced at the start of each match as it really psyched me up for the game I was about to play. Unfortunately all of tha thas been removed in the new game for cutscenes that barely las t30 seconds. That's not how you immerse youer audience in a game EA yo ushould already know this if people don't want to see this let them press as button or better yet giv ean option to disable them don' t totally remove it. I prefer games that immerse me in the worlds I inhabit even in my sports games. I think the award ceremonies and nwe trophy cutscenes they've added will look cool when I get them but it really ruins the gameplay when the broadcast doesn't look right. It really makes FC24 look like a half baked game instead of a full ypolished product. It's making me think I might even alternate between this and Fifa 23 this year because it's making me think Fifa 23 gets things more right than it does wrong atm.
I mean nothing gets me moer pumpede and ready to give Liverpool a thrashing than hearing their fans singing their "You'll neve rwalk alone" theme and seeing the lineups when I show up at Anfield as the opposition. Seeing it cfut down to a 30 secon dcutscen eis not what I expected.
Fifa 23
FC24
So yeah FC24 is still a fun game but by keeping those Fifa 23 moments would definitely have made the game better

I played the demo version and thought it's very nice. The end product came out last month or so but I didn't get around to playing it until now.
It's basically piecing together random pieces of landscape to build up little villages, harvest fields, forests and link up water ways into rivers, etc. The game now has train tracks and it's a little more challenging to piece them together.
I did the first game and I think I can't build the train tracks. The pieces given can only be placed next to each other so there's no way to place a train track piece like two empty slots over as a holder.
A success in grouping will result in an upgrade. Like five pieces of harvest fields = a windmill. A group of houses = a village and can be further upgraded to have more facilities.
It's a relaxing game, akin to putting a jigsaw together.

In PS:T I found the way to the village under the ragpicker's square. The guard was really named 'Bish' no kidding. It's not a cross trading knight run, my stats are:
11|16|10|16|13|9
After some talking I got Str do 13 (14 with new ink), Wis to 16. Switched to scholar of the art at level 5, now a level 4 mage. Got some nice run going. My initial goal was to make a Robin Hood toon, so I would be CG, since I know the Ending quite well I'm now going for LE. First time trying not the Chaos route. Oh and I got to the 5th level of Zerthimon. Not enough stats for the rest. Morte will be given to the Wererats. Vhailor I won't have enough Cha to keep until the end. The gish is good for switching back to fighter mid-game.
My Baldur's Gate Trilogy run is on hold. Only did a cheese-run so far. Half-Orc Fighter/Thief, dual wield, and later flail of ages plus all the greater whirlwind and spike traps I can get. Didn't like the group. Sir Garrick safely lead the way, but the quote is getting on my nerves after 6 fights of morale failure.
BG3 is not my thing. Tried it, didn't like the constant babbling. Did not like the politics, and did not like 5E. Third Edition is math, and 5th is art. I like my second Edition that was both.

It's been all Baldur's Gate 3, for me. I'm only playing for a few hours per day. That might sound like a strange thing to note, but it's not as much as I could typically manage just a few years back.
Still, a few hours daily of BG3 is a few hours well spent. It's a big game. When I finish it, I'm certain to jump back in immediately for a second go. I'm sure when I'll be ready to give it a break, but this feels like a game I'll still be playing in a decade. It's so good.

Onc ethe newness and exccitemen to fFC24 has died down I'll be focusing more on my RPG's given I neglected them a bit last winter so I want to focdus more on them this winter though I'll be taking time to pla yBaldurs Gate and Starfield. Especiall yas I wantto do anoth rcomplete run of the Dragon Age games before Dreadwolf releases and I want to do another run of Horizon Zero Dawn as well as I hav ea sneaky suspicion we'll be getting a PC announcement soon for Forbidden West. Mostly coming from the fact there's been a fwe leaks on youtube suggesting that there is a PC version of Forbidden Wes tin the works as I noticed a couple of vids mentioning it on my youtube feed. No firm dates or anything but I'd guess we might see it sometime in the first half of next year.I knew it was planned as tha twas leaked even befoer the PS vresion came out but because the PS version got delayed it made sense tha tthe PC version would as well.

Been thinking about what I should do fo rmy first hard difficulty save for FC24 and I used the randomize rand i tcame up with a Romanian league team but I'm also kind of tempted to do a Spurs one as in manage Spurs through their post Kane era like Ange Postecoglu is doing atm successfully and see if I can help Spurs win some silvreware. The one advantage bein gI know the players at Spurs as Spurs are my club s okno who wt oget the mos tout of them. I usuall ydo them on my easy saves if and when I do pla yas them. Just tempted t od othem as m yhard save this time.I'm leanin towards doing Spurs first and then the Romanian one later but not sure atm.I likel ywon't start tuntil I'm done on my first season on m yeasy asve though I may set it up later so it's read yto star twhen I am. Currentl ydominating the French 2nd division though atm on my easy save given I haven't lost a game yet but then my target there from the board is win the league. Mostl yplaying with the women's leagues today but I ma yg oback and do some more on my hard save on Fifa 23 a little later.
