I forgot about the space combat. It took me awhile to get used to locating the enemy ship before it could do any real damage. Also like every Bethesda game the console is your friend. I've only encountered one bug involving opening a door during a mission. I used the "TCL" command to toggle collision off and pass through the door. I have been getting a lot of being shot through doors, walls and roofs today!!!!! You should try playin gsome of the old Red Faction gamesthen ther's a lot of it there with the destructbl eenvironments and everything.

For me I'lllikel ydo i tthe other wa yround rty Starfield firs tthen rty Baldur's Gate. Mostly because I'm planning to do a run of all 3 BG games whic hwill add more time to the experience. You might want to check out any video you can find of controls for the starship in combat it may make it hard for you to play or at least more of a challenge for you with having to use the mouse and some keys simultaneously. You may be able to rebind some stuff though. Maybe but one of the advantages I've foun do fgamin gon PCis that sometimes you can fin dcheats and things t owork around it. It's one of the main reasons why I mainl ygame on PC. As I can often find cheats and things like god mode t oge tme through trick ysegments whe nI do play games like that. I'm not playin git yet anyway as I' m still bus ywit hFifa. Als it's lkely I'll be playing my moer active gamesfirs and RPG's I'v ealready got installed s omight be a while yet

For example open the console with the Tilde key and type "tgm" without quotes and hit enter and you get godmode. Stuck behind a door that just won't open like I was? Open console and type "tcl" without quotes and hit enter to toggle collision off. There are many more console commands, and they are the same Skyrim used. i only use these when I run into a bug which in Starfield's case was only once. But the godmode cheat is good for when you're in a long space battle or for some reason the ships are at a very high level than you are (which happened to me).

I never thought to use TGM in space combat, I am surprised it worked. Have you tried KAH, I wonder if that would work in Space Combat? At the stage now that I don't need them but TGM might be useful for the end fight in Starfield as I have heard it is a bit of a grind.

I don't what the KAH command does, but I know there is a command (at least in Skyrim) that let's you kill everyone. I don't know if it's just enemy npc's or literally everyone on screen, since I never tried it. But yes, Godmode does work in space and it saved my butt when I first went to the Key and they were being attacked by the Ecliptic pirates. They were much higher level than me around lvl 12 and I was lvl 3.

Battletech
Finished the game. I was expecting a really tough run because of the Iberia, a Fortress Dropship, but as it turned out there was no battle with it. A bad turn in an earlier mission turned out to be the knife that ended the Iberia.
Kamea took back her throne but her nation is war torn and economically suffering by the civil war. She's got a lot to do to get things up and running again. Too bad there's no expansion because I'd love to have more of her story.
As I expected, the end cutscene is the same. I feel the devs should have at least tried some end variations depending on the player's responses to Kamea and other events. As it is, Kamea said she did not really know the motivations behind the mercenary's drive to help her.

Fallout New VegasNow that I am back in the Mojave time to do something that has been a good long while coming. Continue on with the main story! Confront Benny! And doing the exact same thing you did in your last aborted playthrough too! I guess there is just something about Chandler Bing's voice which is just...trustworthy. Went to the Tops and let him prattle on about how sorry he was about how it was just business about some of his plans and his offers to let me in. Passed a speech check to get up to the Presidential Suite without any guards. Got at least some of his plan and what not. And then he just runs right out of the room, I'm just watching him go a little confused...I mean my plan was for reasons to hedge my bets and not commit to anything. Wonder what would happen if you agree to his proposition to. But yes the intimation was, at least my read, that he would be there waiting for me after the fact and I could 'agree' if I wanted to...or kill him. But he sicked his guards on me. Little surprised the resulting firefight, with my illegal weapons, didn't bring down the entire Tops on my head. But that did work out. Kind of regret, again, not killing Benny right then and there but I think it would really go push you towards Caeser's camp because he is there. First to chat with Yes Man and starting to get set up for the ending. From here a couple of more general observations. First of all just trying to keep it in mind that it might be easy to get down an ending path you don't want to be on in this game. I think I almost did that last playthrough and stumbled on helping out Mr. House maybe even to the point of blocking stuff out. So don't want to side with House for sure. Probably not anyways. Point two from here going to have to wonder for the proof of concept whether or not the relationship between side quest and main quests is more DA 2 or MEA...ie a game whose side quests is better then the main quests (at least in terms of the third act, not exactly a good thing) or a system where the side quests just complement the main quests. More comparisons! Talking with Yes Man it did occur to me that this game does do a lot of the same thing that Origins does, but with a twist. That game was very heavily faction based to but in New Vegas there are 'factions' and then there are like 'sub factions' where you can go and help out the agenda of your choice. I think that is the main focus for the next part of the playthrough. And from there off to Caeser's main camp. Bit of a funny hem and haw over who to take and it occured to me it is quite fun because none of the options are all that good. Lilly, woman and super mutant. Boone is straight out. Cass and Veronica are women. Arcade is straight out...because both her and Boone HATES the Legion. Ironically leaves Raul as the only real legit choice and he is still a Ghoul. In the end Veronica it is. Got her in power armor so if the Legion gets...uppity...I can take them all on a lot easier.

Coffee Talk
There's no shooting or any action in this game. The player owns a cafe and opens only at night. The thing to play around is brewing coffee and tea. Other than that, read the conversations brewing among the customers.
Game world is not the typical world inhabited by humans. Nope. The game world is inhabited by elves, vampires, werewolves, succubus, orcs and one other I can't remember but she can turn into a cat. I think it's a Japanese fantasy race.
They come in and they started talking about themselves, what's troubling them, their hopes and dreams. The werewolf is searching for a certain drink to control his Fury so I experimented around.
The fun stuff about the coffee and tea is if they're latte, I can try to do some art. Using the mouse to try to create art is not easy. I doubt I can do it any better in real life with a cup of coffee latte. 😄

I often find Garrus' srecruitment mission quie ttough in th egame as that' anothe rof the toughe rmissions I'v often found his loyalt ymission quiet hard as well. Tali's recruitment wih the weird solar radiation can make things awkward too.

...tbf a non-standard porton of my deaths may be attributed to trying to kill Thresher Maws/Geth Armatures/Colossi outside of the Mako while inebriated. (It's not for the XP; it's the principle of it. )

In my last playthrough of ME1 I actually stuck around and killed every thresher maw I came across. Usually I would drive around there area avoiding them as much as possible. But in my last PT I went full terminator mode on them.

Especially as it could make short work of just about everything in it's way. I've had quiet a fwe runs of ME1 without dying. I do still die occasionall ybut generall ytha tonl yhappens if I get a bit careless dealing with a thresher maw o rsomething. It doesn't happen often though.

Prepare your forest camouflage (that was a missed opportunity) and let us head over and out to the forests of Kashyyyk as we start stepping into SW Episode 3:

Coffee Talk
Finished the game. There're some funny parts in there and a secret surprise conclusion. 😄
Kathy Rain, Director's Cut
It's a point and click adventure game. It's also voice acted and I've to say the VAs are good.
Story starts with Kathy Rain, 21, tottering into her dorm in a daze with her room mate, Eileen, telling her that she came across a news article that Joseph Rain had died. After she was told Joseph Rain was Kathy's grandfather, Eileen made sure to set the clock to ring to wake Kathy up the next morning so she could attend the funeral.
Kathy went to the funeral and discovered there's a mystery to solve regards her grandfather.
Gameplay is simple. If given an item or told an info, asked every NPC about it and follow the clues. Puzzles aren't too difficult which is fortunate. So far I'm enjoying the story / mystery. 😄

Stray Gods
It's an animated musical game with dialogue choices and romance. Voice acted as well. I didn't buy this game but watched some gameplay to decide on a purchase. It's very weird to hear the characters speak and sing their responses.
I can't say the music is great. It's rather bland, no catchy tune. The lyrics however, are meaningful. I decided not to buy because it's a rather strange experience and I've the feeling I'll be bored to death listening to dry music.
The story is about some of the Greek gods surviving up to modern day by adapting as best as they could. They no longer called themselves gods but idols.
Kathy Rain ; Director's Cut.
I'm now into Day 2 and everything was going dandy until I received a startling shock. I'm not going to say what it is but it's equivalent to having a X-File moment. Yup, I had a fright. It was so unexpected that I was hesitant on carrying out an action.

Fallout New Vegas Stared off and continued with the operation to kill Benny. Caesar wanted me to go into the bunker and destroy House's operation in order to cripple it for his own purposes and enlisted my help to do it. He dangled Benny's death over my head in order to get me to participate in said mission, but getting down there House told me to go do what he wanted instead. Needless I say I didn't agree with Caesar and went to go do it. And I forgot but its quite delicious how the game gets away with Caesar not knowing since he interpets the robots activating as the equipment being destroyed because of the shaking of the earth. So of course he let me decide what to do with Benny and Raylan is definitley into the personal honor and duel thing. I was half hoping though I could whip out my .44 and headshot him but no it was with machetes...Rayland's weakness but still got it one shot. From there Rayland got bold and directly refused to do Caesar's next task to his face, which was to kill House, he insulted me but nothing else came of it and the objective is still in the journal just in case. From there off to starting to bind more allies to me and my will. First up is the Boomer's in this little expedition which is...well I was going to say 'always fun' but then I've never done it before but at least its a neat concept. A group of people who is squatting at an old airforce base. And they shoot artillery at anyone who tries to approach them, with a prophecy that anyone who makes it through was meant to and is thus a good person. It does make some level sense I guess, anyone who can make it through an artillery barrage would be strong enough, fast enough, or smart enough to actually be a descent human being and not a savage. From there their leader told me that they needed help and to prove myself I could help and go around seeing what needs to be done. First task listen to a historical summary of what they have been doing all this time, they are descended from Vault Dwellers, and two repair their solar array (why they couldn't do it themselves, but it does help). Oh it was funny how many speech checks there were when talking to their historican afterwards, options to butter them up, it gave me fame with them for each one...kidn of like the SOlas thing. The fun one though was one of the Boomers, Jack, was crushing on a girl who turned out to be outside Nellis...and thus would be boomed if she tried to come close. He wanted to see if she would A. had a crush on him and B. get her through the lines if so. Surprise surprise she ended up being a member of the Crimson Caravan. I was suspecting maybe duplicity on her part but no, she was quite smitten and they were both overjoyed to actually meet one another. The final mission to them was to get the B-29 out of the lake and it is honestly an easy enough task to do but its just funny the lengths some games go to to honor the 'player savior' complex. "why haven't you done it?" "Haven't you forgotten we can't actually go beyond the borders of Nellis?" Well that's stupid. But I did it. Which its also funny because they did leave to retrieve the Howitzers apparently so...um. They were just waiting for me to rescue them. Starting to get a bit of gamer congestion from here because there seems to be a lot to still do to prepare for the ending. A lot of differing ways to go. Of course I don't know if I've mentioned it but I do think the faction system in this game is so much better and more nuanced then Fallout 4s. Like in that game there was the clear distinction that those organizations who were the most moral, had the least power or ability to do anything, while those who had the most power and ability were the least moral on an organizational level. Actually though in one way this game has the exact opposite problem and...it came with what I realized today. In this game though despite all of these organizations sucking (what i consider to be better), what I realized is that three of the organizations has any staying power. The Legion is all tied into Caesar, at least mostly, his cult, and bound him to his will. When he dies, they die. Mr. House is an autocrat. When he dies. His vision could easily die and well I don't think he has truly found imortality. He could die, easily, eventually, and he certainly isn't invulnerable so someone could kill him. So yes its unlikely his vision would survive his death given the circumstances. And while like with Flalout 4 you could do extreme roleplaying with you ruling an independent Vegas and leave a legacy and make everything all hunky dorey that is likely not going to be what happens and could fly in the face of any prologue slides...but much like with the SOle Survivor in 4 either you being corrupted by the process or things falling apart once your dead are both very likely possibilities, so if you go it alone once more if you die your vision probably dies with you. Only the NCR has a plan and an organization in place for long term growth and succession. If Kimball dies the NCR likely won't die...at least at first. If they lose to Caesar's legion they could just shrug their shoulders move on and hopefully wait till Caeasar does die. Yes, I have qualms with democratic governance and the NCR is a great example of the flaws in such a system and their specific policies of expansionism does them little credit...but they, much like the minutmen, are the only real hope for humanity to actually organize and have peaceful governance. Problems galore but that is the case. All this being said though going to come down to House or the NCR in this playthrough. Despite his problems the NCR is kind of horrible at this point in time to so. And then talking about it with wifey she did have a good point as well when she mentioned that she looks it as just letting the Wasteland conduct its own affairs and doesen't care about a legacy, just letting people be free. Which is a fine sentiment and one I am very sympathetic to given my opinions however this is the problem with anarchy because it never lasts for long and roving gangs of bandits and raiders and families forcing their will on people is just as bad as some beurocratic government in California. So long term the NCR might be the best solution long term and just have to hope they get their act together. But yeah same does apply to House if he does have a long term solution because he does paint a pretty picture from what I remember. That is if this playthrough even makes it that long since a new bug is starting to happen. Seems my companiosn are really bugging out to either they won't follow me or really won't follow me and I keep loosing it. And I probably can do this game 'by myself' as it were...but do I want to? Given the DLC has their own companions though I sitll probably will at least do those...which will put me very close to the ending anyways lol. Ugh.
