Whoa. I just had the most immersive experience imaginable. As I departed the blacksmith, having sold a bunch of gear, I turned toward my camel. I turned just in time to see him drop 3 big ass camel pies. Haha! I'd been seeing these things for months, and assumed they were camel dung. This is the first time I have seen them "in the making". Pretty funny. Sand Dweller doing his part to support the Siwa economy. The dung collectors don't make their own dung, after all.

She was active in a thread that was discussing why a game didn't/couldn't have a female PC and maybe she just had had enough. Very sad.

Why is Jade Dreamer a deleted member? Don't let my post confuse you. The TotG reward us simply "next item up" for each individual. Since I've never missed a trial, it will be a Warrior Bow for me. (It's always Sword, Scepter, Shield then Warrior Bow.) As you collect the bow, you also collect an outfit for completing the set. This will be the second set. The first was the Anubis Set, and the second is the Golden Anubis Set. The Sword of the Duat was discovered following a bug some months ago. I'm not certain that it's upcoming, but I suspect it will be part of a future challenge and bundled with Jackal's Gaze. They align in stats and their red aesthetic. For this last Trial of Sobek, the newest item available was the Shield of Aaru. It looks awesome, but is slightly less effective than Tomb Protector. They're both awesome shields; the two best in the game. Shield pics: Concerning JD: Last time she left, it was because she felt she was allowing herself to be drawn into too many negative conversations. There wasn't as much warning this time, but I felt like I could see her general mood souring in the last week or so. Hopefully, we'll see her again once she's ready to return.

I can't edit this into my previous comment without messing up my spoiler blocks. 😒 I continue my almost daily, nomadic tours of Egypt and Libya. This game has beautiful depictions of people simply living. I like to snap photos of natural scenes, towns and sometimes Bayek moving through the world. I'd share some of them if it weren't such a PiTA to share from PS4 to the forum. (I think I might be able to work around it via ACO's photo mode, but I'm not sure if it requires the viewer to have a Uplay account. We'll see.) I think I realized why I've never revisited the Sinai after completing THO. It is likely very accurate for a garrisoned desert region. That's great, but it lacks the pervasive beauty and activities of daily life found in the main game. It's also accessible only via a load screen. Yuck. "The Curse of the Pharaohs", henceforth referred to as CotP, shouldn't lack in beauty. It will be centered around Thebes. It should be a very Egyptian experience, fantastical or not. I've found it's not that difficult to make money in AC:O if you're just wandering the world. While traveling, I assault some strongholds; release prisoners; kill rogue animals and the like. The drachmae add up fast when the collected stuff is sold. I've wasted thousands on ugly, unwanted outfits in an attempt to get one particular outfit, the Gracious Attire. Don't let its "common" appellation fool you. Due to a bug, it's nearly impossible to find. Rather than jump through hoops trying to trigger its appearance, I'll await a patch. dazk will be pleased to learn that I went ahead and used 250 of my 400 Helix Points to get the Ippei Blade. It's my favorite weapon in the game. Not only is it mechanically strong, but it looks good. As I predicted, its proportions are far better than any other weapon in the game. All it lacks is a sheath/scabbard, like every other weapon. If you can ignore the anachronism, it's great. (Tell yourself Bayek found it in an Isu structure. He finds little enough in this game that a such a sword would've been badass.) It will likely remain in my loadout henceforth. I received Nebuchadnezzar's Wrath, a great-looking axe, from Reda tonight. It looks really cool (and oversized, of course), but it has those same silly traits they like to use on many Heavy Blades. "Adrenaline on Hurt" is meh, since I don't like getting hurt. Getting hit once on Nightmare leaves you near death, making this trait less useful. "Health for Crit" is the worst, since it triggers when Bayek is at or below 25% (IIRC) health. Who spends much time in that state? Cool looking axe that will likely never see much use. I'm experiencing many bugs since patch 1.20. I occasionally hit loading issues while traversing the world mounted, whereas it used to be completely seamless. Texture pop-in has reared its ugly head. I don't understand how Ubisoft always degrades its games with patches. The game was beautiful at launch, and ran very well on PS4 and PS4 Pro. They seem to release the same basic patch across all platforms, which is annoying as hell. In trying to improve the PC experience, they often seem to neuter the PS experience. (Unity is another great example.) This game still looks good, but nothing like it did at launch. I hope they correct the "reduced visuals bug" they introduced to all platforms. I can't help but think that it was intentional, in an effort to reduce that 100% CPU Usage issue. I'm CPU ignorant, though, so maybe I'm being paranoid. Regardless, everyone complained and they claim to be crafting a fix. Having seen Unity's changes, I'll not hold my breath. I said I'd be putting this one down soon, but I can't muster enthusiasm for any of my other games at present. If this had continuing fresh content, I'd probably just keep on playing for a ridiculous period. I'm looking forward to NG+ and CotP. The game should essentially be complete by April, I'd think. They can't keep running TotG forever, filling our inventories with myriad iterations of the same 5 items. I do hope they continue support via (good and needed) patches for a long time, as GG did for HZD.

Aw hi there! /waves
How do you even get new outfits to show up in ACO?? I just see the same 3-4 sold in every single shop??? At first I thought maybe I wasn't far enough into the game for more outfits to get cycled in but it's still the same 3 or 4 every time I check, and I'm now about 50% through the story, if my stats on uplay are to be believed.
Unless I have to be buying all the outfits to get more to show. Which I haven't been doing because money is tight and I need to upgrade my weapons, dammit.
Also, I'm super hyped for the discovery tour thing! I'm a huge nerd for this kind of stuff. Not gonna lie, knowing that it was gonna happen played a huge part in my decision to get this game >>

Not gonna lie, knowing that it was gonna happen played a huge part in my decision to get this game >> You do indeed have to buy in order to rotate the stock, for the most part. There should be some regional differences between weavers' stock, with certain outfits being universally stocked. You can also unlock outfits by completing side quests, arena challenges, etc... There are a ton of outfits in this game. THO added more, a few of which are really nice. February will be the biggest month yet for AC:O. We get Discovery Tour, NG+, more Item Packs (yay? ), more TotG and at least two patches. assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/news/152-318407-16/this-month-in-assassins-creed®-origins-februaryDiscovery Tour sounds pretty impressive. It's set for February 20th. Check these features: * 75 guided tours curated by experts - on five main themes: Egypt, Romans, Pyramids, Daily Life, and Alexandria. * Combat-free exploration of Ancient Egypt with 25 different characters, including but not limited to Cleopatra and Caesar. * Free for everyone who owns Assassins’ Creed® Origins, or available for purchase as stand-alone version on PC. Obviously, I won't spend nearly as much time in DT as I have and will in the main game. Still, these guided tours should be great. I live that they've decided to try this. Historical Tourism is one of the main attractions these games hold for me. Having historians guide tours of "sites and sights" should be fun. I've been roaming the land, observing daily life for weeks. I saw a woman in Nitria doing something I couldn't quite comprehend, today. She was either firing something or cooking something. She placed something into a rounded-cone mold and placed it into an oven. She pulled out baked pieces of an indeterminate nature. I'd love to know what I was seeing. (I only got a brief look, and will watch again tomorrow.) Watching the people going about their lives in this game is fascinating!

The tours sound like they will be a good relaxing way to rediscover but also learn new things about an era and place that is highly interesting. When I already find myself just observing the city life or row down the Nile for the views I'm sure it's going to be a good experience with the tours

The level cap with the current expansion is 45, right? If the level cap for the next expansion is 55 does that mean we will get more content then we did in this current expansion or are they just adding on an extra 5 levels for the heck of it?

If the level cap for the next expansion is 55 does that mean we will get more content then we did in this current expansion or are they just adding on an extra 5 levels for the heck of it? The surface area looks substantially larger, judging by the map. It appears to cover a sizable chunk of Upper Egypt on both sides of the Nile. There should be at least two major settlements, including Thebes. New skills were also advertised previously, but no mention is made of them in the current update. I'm sure we'll get more CotP info as it draws nearer. Since we'll have NG+ this month, I'm tempted to replay the entire game and hold in reserve about 20 skill points for CotP. Maybe that way I can access the skills immediately? This makes a lot of assumptions as to how the new skills will be acquired and how NG+ will function. I only played a short while today. I checked out that mysterious craftwork that I mentioned in my last post. She was baking bread. This time, I saw it in a different complex of huts. There was clearly someone preparing dough, and she placed a small ball of dough into the mold. A full mold emerged as he dough rose during baking. Pretty cool to see an Egyptian bread oven. I discovered some other cool crafts and the like in Memphis' poorer markets. I can't wait to see these 75 guided tours. I'm sure they'll all be good, but I'm most looking forward to "Daily Life".

I have had 99% so many times and last 3 PT's have always found one mission I didn't know about. This time found a ridiculous mission on Elaaden of all places about adding a augmentation mod and thought yay this'll be it, nope still 99% Sorry for the rant, well done on fighting the elephants I hate those fights and refused to do the last one.

I didn't like Syndicate enough to care about getting 100%, I did get it for BF and it took at least 10 times fighting the last legendary ship, I actually got up really early before everyone else so I wouldn't be interrupted to do it. Yeah I am thinking that as well. Having 99% for three games each of which I found a new mission and meaning that this PT having done all those three and still ending up with 99%, it must be bugged. Wonder if anyone on PC can tell us if they got 100% on MEA.

Anyway I too am on 99% in ACO so if killing the elephants isn't going to get me to 100% I am happy not to kill the elephants.

ACO really doesn't want me to play THO. Download finished and I thought I'd re-acquaint myself with the controls, did Redda's mission went to fast travel to start THO and CTD and Uplay Launcher had to be manually shut down. Hopefully tomorrow.

I finally did all the elephant locations I'm still at 99%. I guess this means to 100% I have to do all the gladiator bullshit and the craptastic hippodrome? You have to win the first Hippodrome tournament, and maybe the lowest tier of the Krokodilopolis arena. UPlay should tell you what’s needed, if it’s an event like this. Try turning on the “Unfinished” icons in the map to make sure you haven’t missed anything. It’s easy to miss a single location on that huge map.

Didn't know you could do that re the icons, pretty sure I scoured the map thoroughly but will do that when I log in later. I didn't do the Hippodrome at all and I also never did the horse racing thing (I think) you do with the guy you get drunk with who knows you from Siwa.

I thought we’d get to race him, but I don’t think anything happens. Maybe NPCs acknowledge it if you win all four tournaments? I’ve only done the first one, and I’ve been 100% since my first PT. I hate the arena because I think it’s horrific. I did complete both tiers of each arena to get the outfits.

So, I did the first hippodrome races (came in 2/2/1). Went to each of the arenas (which I LOATHE) and did like 3 or 4 rounds in each. Got the ben-hur achievement but I'm still at 99%. Oh well *shrugs* Also, who is this person with a football player as their avatar??

Oh well *shrugs* Also, who is this person with a football player as their avatar?? It keeps changing, too. If I didn't hate gifs in others' signatures, I'd just put one in mine and keep my Eezo pic. I had to do something to commemorate and celebrate. It's been decades in coming, full of heartbreakers.
