I haven't bought the game yet cause I want to try Origins first. but can someone tell me what's the female's backstory? I know the guy is the son of Leonidas. But the woman must be another child or wife of the protagonist for her to move around so freely in ancient Greece. So since women were not considered equals at that time I am really interested in her backstory.

I really love Alexios. I like the story so far (I think I'm around level 23? 25?). I still haven't gotten to many places yet. I get a little overwhelmed and confused on where to go, what order to do quests and that sort of thing. But I do like being part of the conversations in the story. I do NOT like scaling and the ridiculous grind to get materials to keep stuff upgraded. I don't want to spend 10 hours farming shit in a SP game to upgrade my damn gear if I like it and want to keep it. The graphics issue I was talking about when i first started was mostly corrected by changing my FoV from 110% to 100%. I still don't think it looks as good as Origins, but I'll keep messing around and maybe figure it out. I have a sneaking suspicion where this story is headed, and if I'm right I will scream, LOL. Probably my favorite place to view so far: Getting to sneak in on a camp:

Origins is long, took me 120+ hrs to complete plus there are two DLC. Odyssey I think may take me even longer.

I am still Level 12 and I have to stop playing for 10 days from Thursday as I will be away and I just feel like I am getting comfortable with the combat and strategy of combat. I have no idea re the Pelopennesian war, never studied it so its all damn confusing to me and yes the grind is a bit painful but I have just been buying resources to upgrade stuff if I haven't found enough. Re the games look, I think its better than Origins but I also have an upgraded PC since then so it just mat be the settings. Nice pic's Kaidan Fan have come across a few of yours in my travels.

Origins is long, took me 120+ hrs to complete plus there are two DLC. Odyssey I think may take me even longer. Yes, I've played AC2, AC4, ACR, and AC Syndicate. I have most of the games except for AC1, AC3, Odyssey and all standalone's like Freedom Cry. But the rest I bought in a Steam sale. My favorites are the four I played (AC2, AC4, ACR, and ACS.) I haven't played Origin's yet.
But Origin's already looks like a huge game and you're saying Odyssey is even bigger? Wow!
As for the female protagonist that makes sense. I figured she was his sister or wife. But I like the sibling dynamic more like in Syndicate. I am currently replaying Syndicate cause the first time I played it I had just finished Rogue and due to AC fatigue ran right through ACS. But when I play and complete Origin's I will buy Odyssey cause I like the ancient settings more.

She's a descendant of Leonidas (so is alexios) but she only shares the same mother as alexios, both have different biological fathers. Kassandra's is a philosopher and they don't mention alexios on the wiki but it makes sense that it'd be a certain spartan general in game being his father. When it comes to kassandras freedom to walk Greece, I'd say it's just a design choice Ubisoft took more so than for a historical reason/explanation. I can tell you in my 25 hours playing, I don't think anything even acknowledges what gender you pick other than name alone.

I do agree with what was posted above. I find that I need to grind for materials to keep weapons and armor in good condition. Mostly the iron metal and ancient tablets

Used quite a bit of gold to upgrade a couple of legendary and purple armor and equipment. decided to do more SQ from the msg board. Too, along the way I managed to add a purple grade NPC to the crew but I'm at a lost with the others. Sometimes, a SQ NPC has the option to join the crew but I'm not sure whether to take them or not. They're ordinary people. And yes, I finally cooked some big fat bacon.

But the woman must be another child or wife of the protagonist for her to move around so freely in ancient Greece. So since women were not considered equals at that time I am really interested in her backstory. The protagonists are actually the grandchildren of Leonidas, rather than children. While they are siblings, they are not twins. Women warriors were far less common, but not unheard of in this era. Women of Sparta in particular were actually very involved in society and essentially equal to men, but were not warriors. They could inherit property and wield considerable influence. They participated in government, business, etc... Their efforts were vital since every man of Sparta was essentially a professional soldier. This being the case, the women of Sparta were arguably better educated in non-military afffairs. The rest of Greece? We’re not sure. It seems to vary from state to state. Glorious Athens gave women no rights at all, while other places may have been similar to Sparta. It was definitely tougher for women, but some individuals were able to accomplish noteworthy things. Clearly, Kassandra would be one of these exceptional women (and exceptional in general). It actually would’ve been somewhat fitting to have a female protagonist in Origins, as Egyptian women had largely the same rights as the men. (Of course, Greek culture had supplanted Egyptian customs in many ways.) Bayek is a great character, though, so I’m glad we got him. The current pair are okay, but I’d gladly trade them for another game with Bayek.

Just when I can't facepalm anymore when it comes to recruiting people for my crew. I realize I can recruit someone by running behind a horse, jumping onto the horse to knock the guy to the ground."You look strong. I need you on my crew." I decided to stop killing characters. I'm now going to recruit everyone in Greece to be part of my crew. That should stop the war. hahahahahahaha
