Me too. Is the female crew only recruitable with a female protagonist? Or for research purposes can the protagonist be male? I ask this cause I only play as a male. Sounds like there is one you can get from a ? on the map at sea but if you play on PC and have Uplay credits you can get a female Medjay/assassin crew I think for free or for 20 Uplay Credits and that is the crew I use. Yeah, I do play on PC. Thanks for the info.

Okay, I'm going to say this. When I eventually do play the game, I'm going to make my crew all female! Also, I'm going to try and keep Kassandra straight. Not because have anything against playing a lesbian (quite the opposite), but I'm a little tired of myself forcing my female characters to be lesbian for the sake of it. Unless I personally see or feel a strong bond between them that is. Now that you mention it, every romance for Kassandra so far that I have experienced up to Level 15 and the areas around Megaris/Phokis have been females!!!!! I got Kass a notch at Phokis and it's the healer. It's too bad I feel because he has promise (despite the writing that can be better) but they're definitely not going for anything meaningful, just one night stands.

Or for research purposes can the protagonist be male? I ask this cause I only play as a male. Nothing is gender-locked in this game. NPCs are player sexual, based upon what I'm reading of others' Kassandra PTs. There have been a couple of NPCs who seemed clearly written to be gay men, but they are apparently into Kassandra as well. That will be interesting to see in my next PT. My Alexios is straight, and turning down some semi-aggressive male suitors has been hilarious. One guy was actually a nice dude and not overly aggressive, so I tried to let him down gently. I agree that it's nice hearing the ladies sing. Their voices are so lovely juxtaposed with the gruff male crews. My favorite crew so far remains the Barbarians. For a while, I was wearing a really good Rare helmet with one horn (the other had clearly been broken). Alexios truly looked like the captain of that crew while wearing that helmet. Presently he's wearing the Champion's Helmet, which may be a lesser variant of the Achilles helmet. It has that profile, and a narrow horse-hair ridge. It's pretty badass. I'll be sad to see it go at level 49 when I switch to my Legendary circlet. UPlay works across all platforms. I know some people think it's invasive, but it's never bothered me on console. I don't care if they know how and how much I'm playing their games. I've been enjoying quality bonus content via UPlay since AC2. It works for all Ubi games, too. I think it's been rebranded UbiClub or somesuch. You can't miss it on the main menu.

How did you get a crew of female athletes is it an in game reward for completing something? It's a main quest reward. You will know which quest as soon as you get it. Pretty obvious that it deals with athletes. And Testikles. Word of advice - when you are in that quest's region, behave. Or do your best not to be seen. The game does warn you. I was noticed in a fort while I just tickled a guard. BAM! From zero to five Mercenaries in a second.

Okay, I'm going to say this. When I eventually do play the game, I'm going to make my crew all female! It just dawned on me that my entire crew and officers are female too. Poor Barnabas, he must feel terrible. Especially since I have his girlfriend as one of my officers now. She is gold rated, so not an option to ditch her at a port. Maybe that's why he keeps spotting all the cargo in the water. He is not allowed to look anywhere else!

I now have Greek sailor songs stuck in my head. Pephka is my favorite region, the writers for that area have a great sense of humor. I lol'd through most of the quests. God do I absolutely love Pephka. Finally got around to it yesterday and boy have I missed out on some incredible fun. One can tell the writers and designers had a fantastic time here

Yeah I might skip it this go around. Are you planning to skip Unity or AC3? AC3 hs been remastered and released for free with Odyssey. I can't wait to plain it again as I thought the US wilderness you got to explore was great and I look forward to see that it better quality but hopefully they have gotten rid of some of the QTE's. I wouldn't skip Unity either Paris is magnificently done, interesting NPC's and great outfits and combat. Liberation. Not the others.

Things that happened;
A frightened goat killed itself by running into a rock. Two lionesses stuck on a rock in the middle of a stream. An Athenian soldier was booted over the stockade and became stuck there. I expected him to run back into camp but he stood there for a couple of minutes before mysteriously appearing inside the camp. I tried to get Kass to jump over the short edge of the stockade, no go.
I'm not impressed with the dodge and jump. I don't think the protag can dodge roll and the jump depends on surfaces.

Diary of a brave, armed to teeth, wielding godlike powers Misthios:
"Fort full of Spartans - bring it on!
A band of 3 Mercenaries, each with 2 levels above me - please, this is a walk in the park.
A pack of 3-4 boars - DROP ALL WEAPONS AND RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!"

So since I had beaten Syndicate before, I stopped playing and installed Origins before I play Odyssey. So far I like the game. The combat is different. One can still be stealthy but the close quarters combat is pretty good so far. I normally prefer a blade but I really like the bow. I'm not that far into the game. Bayek and his friend made it back to their village. I upgraded my breastplate and am now looking for some items that his female friend the healer, either lost or had them taken from her by some Greek guards.

The cult stuff becomes more of a side story in that you can either pursue it or not. While you’ll run into cultists incidentally, most require effort to find. There’s a clue on each cultist’s individual screen that provides a starting point. I just finished off the Eyes of Kosmos branch of the cult. I still have a lot more d-bags to stab. Your spear progression is linked to these quests, as you likely noticed.

Is Syndicate bad? I've heard mixed reviews though from what I've seen I'll like it.
Syndicate is actually really good. The 2 main protags are some of the most likeable characters in AC (besides maybe Kassandra!) and industrial revolution London is awesome to behold.

Syndicate to me is a mixed bag. While I love a good Victorian England setting and I do believe the two main protagonists are some of the best AC protagonists in the franchise, I have to admit that London is surprisingly very hard to parkour around and relies mostly on the carriage system nobody was demanding. And the combat is not my favorite.

The game is definitely worth experiencing once for the things it does so very well. I really wish they’d kept the parkour from Unity and not bothered making the ropecaster and unrealistically wide roads. It might’ve been at the very top of my list had I enjoyed the gameplay. It’s one of the best written of all the games, in my opinion. I really hate that gameplay, though. I never made it through my second playthrough. Odyssey is really growing on me. I definitely like it; but I still think Origins is the better game at this point. For the sake of reference, I’m level 50, 70 hours into the game and about to finish Episode 4. (I’m a major completionist, leaving no stone unturned.)

Strange gameplay choice not to add shields for the player to use. Yeah, initially I was surprised by that because I wanted in my second run to play Alexios as a shield wielding Spartan fanboy. My Kas was always meant as dagger/bow/staff master. But as I see it Parry serves the same purpose as the shield in Origins minus the arrow protection. And at least on Normal difficulty archers are not much of a threat. So it's not really that big a difference. But I still want my shield bearing Spartan fanboy. Maybe I will go for a heavy weapon junkie instead. Stealth is for Athenian boy-lovers.
