Yeah, the added Alpha Ships are tied to quests. The problem is that they’re tied to orichalcum quests that can only be played once across all saves. Very annoying. Make sure you do it on your preferred save file. Wait, do you mean the special bounty ships can only be done once? Let's say I did two PTs with two different save files, I cannot do the bounty on both? For some reason, my system hung twice after I logged off from playing AC Odyssey. System froze while UPlay was doing the usual thing of syncing to cloud save, everything was fine during gameplay. In the second instance, I discovered there's a win 10 update. I suspect UPlay is acting up.

I'm in an odd place, lvl 42 and have just had what feels like an end of game, lets have happy wrap up cut scenes with all the Athens bros / happy family. I haven't dealt with the inner circle of Cultists and big chunks of the map are still untouched, also the modern day stuff and the keys to the super secret special place hasn't progress beyond knowing about it, so I know the game isn't over, but boy those cut scenes make it feel like it is. Overall enjoying the game a lot with only a couple minor whines. Keystroke lag is a bitch sometimes, Kass/Alexio - Male pairing are pretty thin on the ground and mostly awful. For me the true ending is after you finish the modern day line (collect all keys). You, guys, NEED to do Crete (aka Pephka/Messara). It's a huge area with loads of quests and many laughs. Crete with other side stuff like Mykonos, etc. (where the main story never takes you) could easily have been a separate game and a good one too. Frankly, after playing Odyssey, I now plan to finally make the time and visit Crete at last. I have been to Pephka/Messara already and am currently back there now and contemplating doing the Minotaur mission while running around doing other stuff. I have experienced nothing particularly funny or interesting to be honest. I did have an encounter with more than 10 Lynx yesterday ran to a nearby fought and involved some Spartans to help out. I have a mission to go to Mykonos to find someone called Kyra?

I suspect UPlay is acting up. Yep. Much like the Community Challenge rewards in Origins, you only seem to be able to receive the reward once. Not knowing this, I completed the Tyrant bounty with my less important/carefully cultivated Alexios save. I then couldn’t complete it on my preferred save, so I’ll have to live without that Tyrant cosmetic for now. I’m sure it will come around again in the months ahead. (My preferred save is the one I carefully setup for NG+. I make sure I have all of the cosmetic items and a carefully cultivated stock of equipment.) For me the true ending is after you finish the modern day line (collect all keys). You, guys, NEED to do Crete (aka Pephka/Messara). It's a huge area with loads of quests and many laughs. I have a mission to go to Mykonos to find someone called Kyra? Kyra is the pretty NPC they liked to show off in every pre-release hype video. I can only assume you landed on the more serious, sedate side of Krete, Messara. Pephka is full of humor. It also offers quests that lead you into Messara, so I’d generally recommend working Pephka first. The big 1.07 update is supposed to release in less than 24 hours. It’s even better than they’d teased. JorRaptor provides a ton of details in his latest vid. I was waiting for this patch before playing anymore. I’m happy and impressed that it has arrived so quickly.

Yeah, I don't even know if there are any male choices for Kassandra that I'll try. I actually only liked 2 guys. One being Alkibiades (I KNOW, CRAZY, RIGHT?) and the other being Brasidas Brasidas is great. He seemed mildly into Myrrhine, in my opinion. They’re of a more similar age, I guess. I really liked Roxana for Alexios, but felt no real interest in anyone for Kassandra. Just in a general way, Kyra is kind of cool; but I’m not stepping into that nest. She doesn’t know what she wants and is kind of leading on Thaletas. I like the outcome I get by not getting involved with either of them. Alkibiades is my dude! I think he’s most enjoyable for me when his interest is left totally unrequited. It really makes his persistence even funnier.

I am at a point L48 game progression 57% and I am so worried about getting the ending too soon. I have been progressing the family thing and just did the find your dad quest and now not sure whether to keep progressing that arc or to go back to clearing regions. I too am suffering key lag big time, it sometimes takes 2 or 3 times of hitting an ability key to make it fire which is very frustrating. Sorry to hear you are getting that as well but I am glad its not my keyboard. Yeah agreed the male relationships have been few and far between and I stuffed one up. The Isu plotline is major, but feels like a tangential part of the protagonist’s story. It’s been the one I finished first in both PTs. The family and cult stories have a certain amount of overlap. There are at least four cultists that are discovered during the critical path, further linking those intertwined threads. The proper ending for me is when I wrap up the cult and family stories, which I’ve essentially completed at the same time in both PTs.

I make sure I have all of the cosmetic items and a carefully cultivated stock of equipment.) I'm going to have to check both save files because I did the latest bounty ship on both. I did the oldest Kass file first though; the one where almost everything is done. Well, at least 90% of it.

I didn’t even bother loading my Alexios save for the latest ship, after my experience with the bounty on Tyrant. I liked that ship, too. It’s Spartan without being too Spartan. It has nice red details without looking politically aligned with Sparta. If only the Athenian cosmetics weren’t so damned Athenian. I like their colors a lot, but have no desire to literally fly their colors. The newest vessel gives an alternate, white version of the original Adrestia sails, despite the Kerberos promotional pic. The ship looks decent, with some nice detailing on the deck and sides. I still like the first Alpha bounty best, with the gryphon sail. I mostly just use the Aegean Pirate sail with the matching Octopus figurehead; but a drive to collect keeps me ready to hunt for new stuff. I’m excited that I’ll be able to adjust weapon appearances via the new feature. I can ditch those ridiculous anime weapons for the simpler, basic designs inspired by real weapons. There are a few swords and daggers that are sized realistically, and a few axes and spears with reasonable heads. This minor feature will increase my enjoyment. I might scrub about in that meager starting gear a bit longer in the game. It looks cool, and like something a poor mercenary on Kephallonia might wear. It gets shuffled aside too quickly as soon as we kill our first foe or loot our first pot.

He is actually fantastic. I had Alexios reject him constantly and at every chance and it was hilarious! LOL
I'm super glad to see that Clothes Make the Daughter is on the list since I was unable to turn in after completing it. Happy to see that they're getting this stuff out so quickly. I want to start Kassandra soon but I worry about messing up saves. Will my Alexios saves be safe?

Kaidan Fan, manual saves are not touched. It's the autosaves and quicksaves that will be replaced for a new PT.

I'm wondering what this means; Players will no longer receive kill rewards when an animal is untamed due to environmental influences. ??? It sounds like we won’t get to loot dead animals that we didn’t kill. It’s weird in that it is the opposite of how it worked in Origins. In that game, tamed animals could never be looted. The wording is awkward, so who can say? I’ve never experienced any of the bugs they’ve listed. If the game stops crashing when I use Ikaros, and stops randomly slowing to 1 frame per 6 seconds, I’ll be happy. Brasidas is great. He seemed mildly into Myrrhine, in my opinion. They’re of a more similar age, I guess. I really liked Roxana for Alexios, but felt no real interest in anyone for Kassandra. Your manual saves are fine. Autosaves are overwritten. I do wish they’d segregated PT saves as in past AC games and is standard in many games (ME and DA are examples). I don't like needing to carefully read the time stamp and total playtime every time I go to overwrite a save. Each PT’s saves should be siloed.

They could have said; if a wild animal is not killed by the player or Ikaros, there is no loot. Clear and simple. Now I have to wonder if said untamed animal killed by environmental influences aka civilians and soldiers will not drop any loot. I've been standing aside sometimes when I see soldiers whacking boars and such and going near them to collect the hides in the aftermath; once I'm sure they won't suddenly attack the protag. Sometimes I will shoot the boar etc if I'm certain I won't hit any of the civilians / soldiers.

OK finally got the laughs, the kids tour was hysterical as was the fight the minotaur pre-trials. Pephka has become my mercenary killing field, they just keep spawning. Think I have killed over 10 in the last few hours. On the down side accepted a quest to collect fangs for some guy to make a bow and cannot find the lion he tells me to get the fang from anywhere. Came across one in a camp but it didn't give me a tooth.

After coming across this quest that does not auto keep the teeth; they all disappear if you one shot sell the trade goods, I keep all the teeth, some of the hides and the raw meat. The rest, I sell. It's troublesome to manually select goods to sell but it beats hunting down one particular animal over and over, hoping it'll drop the tooth.

If I were struggling with this, I’d just leave it until later in the game. At some point, you’re bound to have more than enough of three required items. In regard to the Shadow Nymph sail, I’m sure everyone is getting the same sail. I know I got the same one as JorRaptor. It’s just not the sail that appears on the Ubi promotional images for this quest. The art depicts a black sail, IIRC, featuring Kerberos. The sail awarded, though, is a white sail with a red eagle clutching a serpent. It’s the same design as the original Adrestia sail rendered different colors. It’s cool enough. I’ll probably use it with the eagle figurehead from time to time. I would like a cool Kerberos sail. The one we have is a bit uninspiring. I don’t really care, though, unless we get a Kerberos figurehead. I like my stuff to match up thematically. There are some cool combos: Pirate sail and Octopus; eagle and eagle (duh); several serpent themed sails with the serpent figurehead; pegasos sails and figurehead. I like the eagle and gryphon together okay, and the Poseidon and Octopus is solid. I got the Skylla figurehead from Sargon and don’t like it. It’s accurate, you could say, but too damn weird.

Yeah its annoying having already killed so many damn lions, anyway no problem looting a fort I got some so go figure!!!!

LOL yeah dismantled it straight away. I want to get the Athenian Eagle figurehead from Oikos, not because I like it but its simply the only slot I don't have Legendary on except for crew I think. But didn't have enough ori so been farming that the last 1hr.

dazk , that’s the Owl, symbol of Athena. Each of the legendary monsters gives a legendary figurehead. There are also others you get in the course of the game, IIRC. I did get the owl, since I had over 300 orichalcum, but I’m not sure I’ll use it. I mostly got it because I’d received the matching sail from Sargon’s RNG back in my first PT. My outrageous luck at the Oikos has finally run cold. I’ve not received a noteworthy item in a long time. I can’t complain, since I was striking gold regularly for a while. Oh, crap. I forgot I’d received the Vine Bow last week! I guess it’s not run cold, but just cooled to warm. There are a few items in the Store I wouldn’t mind having. There is a dagger, a staff (which I never use), some mounts, etc... My luck has been so good that I may spend a few bucks to grab what I want some months down the road, once the support has stopped. Origins showed us two things: 1) There will be sales; 2) Anything bought in the early days will be trivialized by future gear and NG+. If we’re patient, we will eventually receive almost everything we could want without spending any real money. I’m curious to see that Odysseus Set. I hate the bright blue hood and bow, but I like the cuirass. Now that we can swap the pieces we like and dislike, every item becomes more useful. I’m curious to see the stats and legendary perk of the first Hunter Set to appear in the Store. The new Steropes bow sucks as a Hunter’s bow, but its perk could be potentially engraved into a Warrior setup. I typically go +damage over +hp/armor every time; but I could see it being desirable for some players.

There was a electrical trip twice while I was playing ACOD. Now the game keeps crashing on me in the main menu. I had the game files verified. To no avail.

As a lifetime console player, I can’t imagine how to repair this short of reinstalling. I hope you’re able to preserve your saves/progress. I always get nervous when power trips. I have all of my stuff connected to buffers/surge protection, but it’s still annoying. Even the damn TVs are computers, now. It’s ridiculous to get a lecture from the TV for an improper shutdown.
