I miss Cullen. I've gone 9 months without romancing him so I could try Zevran, Fenris, Blackwall, Solas, and now Cassandra. I still have Leliana, Morrigan, Merril, Isabella, Jose, Sera, and Dorian to do before I can embrace that man once more. And I had a dream about him last night. We both died in a weird zombie apocalypse situation. Do you guys just do his romance over and over? Sadly, yes....

Will have to make a new video I keep all my Cullen romance cutscenes saved, but I don't have a cellphone... I'm not completely sure how to make a video either. *sigh* I play on the PS4, I know I can save video clips as well as screen shots, put them on a memory stick and onto my computer...but I'm not sure how to edit them together...

Oh man, I love Cullen so much. I'm so glad he was in Inquisition and he was romanceable. However, it's my headcanon that the Warden joins the Inquisition after the Inquisitor has been made Inquisitor, and Cullen and the Warden fall in love (after she was dumped by King Alistair). It's beautiful and pure and REAL IN MY DREAMS DAMN IT. And then you have Lavellan dating Dorian, and everything's perfect.

I can record my screen with FRAPS now, but I'd probably upload to YouTube at that point rather than keep it on my phone.

I have no idea what she has on this thing. If this is a Windows PC, then you already have movie maker. If you're on a Mac, then you probably have some movie editing software already installed as well, though I don't know what it would be called. The tools are all fairly basic in function...you can't do any fancy editing, so the menus aren't too complicated.

Hey BansheeOwnage, you mentioned about soloing In Your Heart Shall Burn with a rogue. Were you an archer or dual dagger? I might try this. I fought one dragon alone in my current run, and that was a wild ride. Poor Cullen was tearing his hair out with worry.

Hey BansheeOwnage , you mentioned about soloing In Your Heart Shall Burn with a rogue. Were you an archer or dual dagger? I might try this. I fought one dragon alone in my current run, and that was a wild ride. Poor Cullen was tearing his hair out with worry. Poor Cullen indeed, always waiting for news when Quizzy's in the field No, not his precious hair, haha I was a dual dagger rogue for that part (ended up switching to archer right after, as it happens - I headcanon that she uses daggers and a bow like Legolas, but alas, no weapon-switching). Good luck if you do! It was a while ago so I don't remember the specifics, but turning the wheels and the behemoth/Fiona boss fight were the hardest parts. Enemy archers were a pain, had to sneak up to them with stealth. You can make quick jabs against melee opponents and leave before taking damage. Tedious, but it worked. Might want to take regen potions with you. But the Golden Nug should make things easier than when I did it, with better gear available.

This is totally in my plan on my next PT XD Since I roll a mage, I think it should be easier with awesome gears, right?
.. Sorry Adaar, I'll switch games between you and Lavellan. Promise XD (Trying to break that habit of romancing Cullen every time I boot DAI. Damn. Somewhat strugling and this is with a Qun dude that I really like too. He'll be romancing Cass)

Guys. I was discussing game relationship possibilities with the husband. He's only going to play each game once, so I've been thinking really hard on what combos will get him the best story. So, right now he's with Morrigan so he gets the DR Kieran World State. I said if he plays an elfy elf in DAI, he'd be disappointed with Cass like I just recently was (she says mean stuff in the Temple of Mythall). I'm never going to recommend IB and Jose I also hear is a bit underwhelming. So, he'd have to date Dorian to get the best romance for a male character (from my perspective.) Which is why I then followed up with, "So, I think you should play a female elfy elf. The romance options are better." And we started talking about those options... Long story short, he says he'll give the cheesy romance a shot!!! with Cullen because there is a wedding at the end of it! And he says he wouldn't have minded dating Alistair if Alistair hadn't been straight, so Cullen is not too far off that personality. Then we started discussing a bit of Cullen's NPC life up to DAI and he was like, Man! Cullen has had a hard time of it. I'm super that my hubby is going to be a Cullenmancer.

Aaaarghh!! You're so lucky! XD (starts transforming into Envy XD not)
My husband isn't a gamer. And I only have 2 gamer friends irl, 1 hates rpg and the other one (my sister in law) is only interested in cell phone game T-T :cries:
I'm the oddball in the family and my circle of friends. That's why I sorta panicked when the old BSN shuts down, because despite the place being over crowded with trolls, it also has it's comfy corner where I could just enjoy reading the many discussion about the game XD

My hubby is a gamer but he's not really into the big story-driven type games. He prefers games like Civilization, Hearthstone, and Diablo 3. Games where he can really be strategic and number-crunch and stuff. I'm sad I can't share my Bioware epic stories and romance obsession with him but oh well.

Well at least he still do games XD My husband just sighs and shook his head when I'm having that game girl moment XD At least he cooks XD still love him though Edit: must be awsome to have someone under the same roof who understand your quirks and share the same hobby I wonder what does Cullen do when he and IQ have some 'alone time' together? Playing chess? (Deffinitely not my IQ, she sucked terribly at it) Read books (?) Opera ? (Hard to imagine ) Hunting ? (This I can see with my Lavellan) Or.. ? (Well, aside from the obvious bedroom activity that is XD which can take place in anywhere else, really.. including offices )

HUBBY BUGGED THE COWORKER!!! After 6 long months I have DAI back in my hands!!!!!!!

(Well, aside from the obvious bedroom activity that is XD which can take place in anywhere else, really.. including offices ) My husband absolutely prefers Zelda, but my absolutely over the top love of Dragon Age for the last (nearly) ten months has worked him down into giving the series a single play through. Whereas I can't stand Zelda. Not quite the same exchange, but I learned and played Magic the Gathering with him for a year even though I didn' t love it so this exchange of sharing hobbies has a precedence and not in only one direction. and Just last month when his brother visited and video games came up, my husband, of his own volition, said it had the best relationships/friendships one could have in a game. For example, you can be broken up with, giving the characters their own belief systems and sense of goals outside the player. (Leliana with the ashes, Anders with Torpor, and Cullen with his lyrium addiction and Solas with his...plans) I imagine lots of Talking. Cullen hasn't had anyone to fully depend on his entire life. I also find it unlikely he actually reached out and found a therapist, if one even exists. Maybe this is too un manly for some folks, but I expect a few episodes of tears and he finally and fully gets to work through things. Similar to the relationship between Catniss and Peta in The Hunger Games. I imagine lots of sex. I imagine babies. I also imagine busy career passion work with the retired Templar Home. Visiting family. Getting over the cultural differences with the Lavellan Clan. I can see reading as a luxurious hobby on what few days a month we aren't running around being busy and awesome. Hunting is a bit of a way of life back then, but is time consuming and would probably be outsourced. I would never turn down a game of chess with Cullen, and maybe I'd even occasionally best him as he guided me with that sexy voice of his with advice and tips to get better. As a mage, I would do my best to learn healing magic to help with the side effects of lyrium addiction for the Templars we dealt with. Did I mention lots of newlywed sex? Oh, you bet. There is no aside, thered be quicklies everywhere, I'd insist on all doors coming with working locks.

Above is from another thread. I recall reading about but never received an epilogue slide about his going crazy and on a murder spree. But as of Witch Hunt, that epilogue slide had been ignored and the canon was that he asks for a transfer.
Other than being Meredith's Templar underling, of which she had the entire order in Kirkwall... I don't recall his having done anything particularly evil? I did get him to hang Samson on MY evil Hawke Playthrough, but that outcome is totally ignored because Samson becomes Cory's general.
I haven't seen Cullen be allowed to be brutal in DAO. He always gets the total shut down from Gregoir on my PTs. In my head, he simmers with frustration, driving him to ask for the transfer. The true and actual trauma of being tortured by the mages you wanted to protect and their pet demons they called forth made him pull a total 360 on his initial goals for being a Templar. I think he initially always just wanted to protect mages, like Evangeline in the book. But after being mind screwed...
So, after his transfer, he is exposed to Meredith's teachings. He truly believes her seemingly sensible understanding of the danger of mages is THE way to believe. It is supported by his recent experience in Fereldan. He takes -comfort- in her controlling nature as well, and takes on some of her exacting mannerisms. He's more prone to violence, cuz he clocked that suspicious Templar with little thought. Frankly, Cullen needed therapy and what he got instead was Knight Commander Meredith.
And this need for a support structure outside of the Chantry is a major plot point. Samson felt abandoned and the whole order felt led astray by the Chantry that had become their leader since the Lloemerren Accords. The Chantry with it's Lyrium leach tugged them along in a world where Seekers were seemingly taking a vacation. If Cullen breaks his addiction, he then focuses on creating a place for the Templars to seek healing, both physical and mental. <- a place he desperately needed after what had happened to him and that didn't exist for him to use.
Some Templars turned to the oblivion of lyrium, but Cullen turned to exacting order/strictness/control of the area around himself. He literally became OCD to deal with his trauma. Although they gloss over the seriousness with teasing, and I feel guilty for the Sera prank where we put paper under his desk.
That's why when Cullen sweeps away his desk just to make out with the Quiz that it's so HUGE. He's breaking his addiction but also breaking away from the self impose restrictions that have given him the most comfort over the last decade. Because he wants to be a stronger healthier man- with you.
And I NEVER took my Quiz asking Cullen about accepting her as a mage as a sign of self hate or...admitting to a dirty sin? Cullen has shared his history a bit at that point. But he also comes across as very anti mage if you ally/conscript the mages. This is an honest concern from a Quiz about whether CULLEN can handle dating a mage considering his history. How is this not relevant and how is this self hating? For example, if I met a guy who said he hated dogs but loved me, I'd have to be like... dude, I have THREE dogs. This is a thing we need to discuss. In the end, Cullen doesn' hate mages. He just has a painful history that affects his daily life on varying levels.
And that's my thoughts about Cullen and they are full of fan appreciation and so I put them here.

To say nothing of his either willful or incompetent neglect of those mages under Meredith's whip for seven years.

Interesting. I'm curious, but do you ever wonder if Cullen went through therapy after DA2's events? Before he joined the Inquisition as Commander? Not only was he dealing with lyrium addiction, in a sense, he had PTSD. There are no therapists in Thedas. It's a pseudo-medieval setting. That's why everyone's so screwed up.
