So, treading the headcanon realm, what does your IQ call him when no one's around?

Demoted in Ferelden but then Promoted to Meredith's bedroom. 

And then one night saved Kirkwall from a future catastrophe by strangling Meredith with a pillow because he had a nightmare about a mage in his bed. There is a reason why he didn't have a girlfriend for ten years.

This is one of my favourite things about DA that epilogues are rumours opened to your own interpretation. I love how they offer you at least a couple of ways to interpret something without feeling like you're pushing it into unrealistic zone.

Just wandering how he ends up a virgin if the bed was involved.

I wouldn't mess with Cullen's head or bed post-Circle. It's his weak spot at that point in time as is.

There was a TV series called Luke Cage. I dunno if you've seen it? I watched it, because I liked Luke Cage with the grumpy drunk white girl. And so he got my attention because I wanted them to get back together....anyway.

At the end of the series, this Trying to be a Goodie Two Shoes Lady went TOTALLY NUTS. And there was this minion that helped her put her shit back together in time for her to start a criminal empire (implied). Okay, well. They haven't flirted even once the whole 5-8 episodes they know each other, but all of a sudden, she walks up to his stone face minion countenance and kisses him.

And suddenly, he's not just a minion anymore. He smiles- barely.

Ever since I saw that, I couldn't get it out of my head that such a moment didn't pass between Meredith and Cullen. Cullen was more rabidly anti mage than any of the other Templars there. And not because he wanted to abuse them and use them like some other sick fuck templars, but because he BELIEVED with every friggen fiber of his being that they were dangerous. And Meredith and him are on the same wavelength.

Cullen begins to doubt some of her actions towards the end and yet he doesn't turn on her. Not until she's really gone too far. And I think it's because they had a romantic relationship going, making him inclined to overlook her tendencies. Cuz they were banging.

I see this happening between Act 2 and Act 3 mostly.

And that's my head canon
