Artemis I didn't know vocabulary was restricted to any age. In fact I often tend to klinker up words that don't exist. Actually, I'm getting an impression DA has on average older player base than teenagers. I'm also in my thirties. I don't use mods at all due to me not being computer savvy, but it seem very odd that there isn't a mod to make Cass romance acceptable since there are a lot of people who want to romance her. I tend to not over analyze and go with the gut for romances because if it doesn't feel right you won't talk yourself into it. Besides, there is always the option to dump them. Hm... I'd have to try that one some time. Never used it. phoray I simply must have at least one troll game to satisfy curiosity. I keep planning one for Awakening to harass poor, sexy Varell with bad decisions. I hope he'll have LOTS of sarcasm lines stored for this one. And I keep wandering what the 'stupid choices' for the War Table mission reports will look like in DAI. Devil may care and look my bf has horns game seems like fun. I started my Dragon Age addiction at 28. I'm sure it would have happened sooner if I'd known Bioware existed. What do you mean, making Cass better? I never found her to look like a man., it was news to me when I joined the forums. I think mostly people just die in the War Table missions if you're incompetent. The sarcastic one liners are usually made by Cullen. "This is ridiculous. We won't do it." As their Suggestions for how to handle the mission Evil Hawke is the best I meant superficial level, making her f/f romance if someone is not comfortable with m/f. I don't know about mods that alter appearance, but I've never thought she looked masculine. It's a topic I know little about though since I just alter my own face to fit the circumstances rather than changing someone else's. She's a firm woman, but her appearance is very girly. While we're at it, wth with these rumours about 'ugly' females in DAI?? Cass, Vivi and Jose are gorgeous. See annoyed Cullen? Actually, I picked one dumb option for a war table mission where instead of slaying a pack of wyverns like Cullen wanted, I followed Leli's cooky plan to relocate them and then Captain Rylen gave me this real sarcastic report that made me laugh. I am SO confused in DA2 about what's evil and what's not. I'll have to replay the game probably two more times before I'll figure it out. I suppose the 'good things' would have to be whatever my gut is most comfortable with.

adonnielJose and Vivi "don't count" because you can't have in game sex scenes with either of them. Although some men have reported hating Josie's outfit.

Yeah I do believe the player base is older as well as 50% female for DA! Pretty cool. Oh yes there is a Cass f/f mod, and I had downloaded it at one time, but I've lost the file, and I can't find it anymore. There was so much backlash against the woman who made it that she took it down and understandably hid for a while. However, I don't think I'm interested in playing DAI anymore. I've exhausted it lol The Cullenmance was something I made myself finish because I had been a Cullen fan since 2012 and even though I ultimately didn't get him I felt I needed to shore up that section of my gaming life, so to speak LOL get it out of my system, and my gosh was it lovely. I think earlier some were saying his asking you to marry him was a surprise; even though I knew he was going to do it, I gasped because of the way it came out. And my inquisitor's surprised face was so cute!! I adored that entire scene. And I was concerned that I'd be a floating head for the wedding LOL but my Lavellan just remained dressed in his fancy gear, so all was well. Couldn't resist a few screencaps of course xD

I also captured this scene, which made my heart swell with love LOL Oh I'm one who doesn't like Josie's outfit OR her constantly open mouth?! It drives me bananas!! I do use a make-up, hair, and outfit mod for her. This one: www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/1008/?I think the green/white combo is more subdued and sophisticated than the glaring gold/blue.

I'm not a fan of those kinds of mods, especially the hypocrisy involved with them. For example, making characters like Dorian or Sera available to the opposite sex was despised, yet making characters like Cassandra or Cullen available to the same sex was applauded by those same people.

ArtemisI've read elsewhere that DA Devs left the Cullenmance very mod friendly in Trespasser specifically because of the fan response to him not being bi after all. They couldn't go back in time to make it happen, but the implication I read was that most of a M/M romance with Cullen was voiced? did your male Quizzy voice act his own wedding vows?

I don't mind it will Cullen. His bisexuality was left on the time crunch cutting floor. Cassandra, however, was always meant to be straight. She even has a voice acted cinematic turning down a female inquisitor. That is resources given towards her sexual preference being expressed. I've not used any of the mods to make gay people straight and vice versa. When it comes to video game pixels, I trend towards heterosexual romance. But if a female character were better than the males, I'd go for them with just as much enthusiasm. And have nothing against voluntarily playing a gender not my own.

They couldn't go back in time to make it happen, but the implication I read was that most of a M/M romance with Cullen was voiced? did your male Quizzy voice act his own wedding vows? Oh no, sadly that's like 1000% not true. Modders had quite a difficult time getting the romance to work, and at first you needed two separate mods AND it would cause one of the romance scenes to not trigger. And, no, sadly most of the flirts are not voiced and none of the cut scenes are voiced. Oh -- only exception is the final scene of the base game, when you're in your bedroom together. That was voiced, and what a pleasant surprise it was! The Solas bi-mod works WAY better. As I understand it, the modder had no trouble at all, just essentially "switched" it on (I don't mean to demean the hard work they no doubt did to make it work, just implying that it was nowhere near as difficult/complicated as Cullen). And ALL the flirts with Solas are voiced for male Lavellan, which is a treasure. Nah, the devs were pretty shitty on the bi thing for Cullen and Solas, to start it and then decide midway to not finish it? Struck as me as pretty not cool. BUT I also have to remind myself that just because I didn't like the m/m options doesn't mean others felt that way, too, so I just think of DAI as a game that I sadly was very unlucky in, in terms of romance. The ones I wanted: Cullen, Solas, Cass, Blackwall -- were all straight. Rotten, rotten luck.

I agree that it's hypocrisy. However, it seems the problem is not the creation of the mod itself but with the hypocritical reactions some have about it. This doesn't mean mods shouldn't be made. My very mature solution is to make fun of the hypocritical haters.

I suppose the 'good things' would have to be whatever my gut is most comfortable with.We already speak about anywhere in DA2 section... so, I suppose there are some clearly evil choices: to kill Javaris, for example absolutely unnecessarily. Killing someone just because of you able to do it, I can say that this is evil. But the others? depend on your Hawke's viewpoint: we can be interpreted almost every as "evil" and for the "greater good". At first the last choice: Hawke can choose the Templars because • s/he doesn't want to fight with Carver (if Carver is a Templar). This may be a selfish choice; • s/he believes, that the Templars are the key to restoring the order in Kirkwall (hardly, because of Meredith's a madwoman, and doesn't seem she plans to retire, but perhaps, Hawke trust her, but I saw some decent reasons); • killing the mages and supporting a madwoman is fun. Hawke can choose the Mages because • s/he doesn't want to fight against Bethany (if Bethany is a Circle Mage); • this is the right choice; • Because "letting dangerous people run amok" (Varric) seems so fun, chaos is fun. Seems siding with Pertice is an "evil" choice. Letting Grace and the Starkhaven apostates to run away, can be a • good Hawke's choice, who thinks, that everyone deserves freedom; • evil Hawke's choice, who thinks, they are dangerous. sent Grace and the Starkhaven apostates to run away, can be a • good Hawke's choice, who thinks, that they are dangerous. • evil Hawke's choice, who enjoys, they will suffer. Etc. I think in DA2 many things depends on the RP, and Hawke's viewpoint, and Hawke's intention.

I hope so but I doubt it; she was seriously insulted, stalked, cyber bullied, etc. I don't blame her for disappearing. But yeah it sure would be nice if they would give f/f players a butch woman to love for once. F/f always get pretty/cute girls. I was fine with Isabela, in fact she's one of my FAVORITE romances, so it's not always so cut and dry. But Cass would've been an awesome girlfriend for a female character. ^^

It seems easier for me to create a male character than to search for mods. Playing as male doesn't bother me much (since I could crush on my Warden while at it). But, I get that not everyone wants to make alterations even with pixels. I'm neutral on this subject as long these same people don't go advocating what Hanako pointed out.

The two a bit different, because of no one wants to change the sexuality of a straight girl/guy IRL, and the low representation of the LGBT, especially in this type of characters... And I take the accusation I'm a hypocrite.

When I played the Cassmance, I put myself in the place of Cassandra and kinda crushed on my Lavellan as he spoke poetry in "my" ear. here he is In the Dorianmance I still haven't finished, I was more in my character's skin. I wonder if that means I prefer Het, then M/M, then F/F as well.

Artemis I find your M/M Cullen-mance very sweet. I'm spoiled in that I got to play my own gender and romance Alistair, Fenris, and Cullen (the best male Dragon Age romances, imo) Ooof, it's hard, but if I could play exactly what I wanted ... I would probably have played Alistair x male Mahariel, male Hawke x Fenris (yay, got this one!), and male Lavellan x Solas, JUST because it's so connected to the overall story AND it fucking ripped my heart out!!!! And I loved that it could be interpreted as asexual; that meant a lot to me. I feel the deepest connection with Alin Lavellan who romanced Solas of any of my characters... even though he's much sweeter and cuter than me haha xD But I love so many other pairings, ones I've gotten to play, like male Tabris x Zevran, female Hawke x Isabela, male Hawke x Anders, male Lavellan x Bull (I like it, I REALLY do, just, urgh can we have vanilla sex please honey) ... as well as ones I wish I could've played, like the Solas, Cullen, Cass, Alistair, and Blackwall romances. I used to add Morrigan to that list but I think I'm Morrigan'ed out LOL I wish Merrill had been in DAI instead of Morrigan, would've made so much more sense! Plus I think Merrill's reaction to seeing Cullen again would've been cute, and she'd have had something cute to say about his relationship with inquisitor, too.
