Another thing as to which character to sacrifice when push comes to shove..

I guess that will depend entirely on which character whom you can relate/feel the most. One that can pull your heartstrings a cut above the others.

When a choice is presented between the 'main stars(insert fave chars)' of DAO/DA2/DAI..

I will most likely save the ones from DAI. Because the way the story is presented, I somehow connect more to Lavellan well above the rest.

And would probably sacrifice Hawk :'( (because somehow the shoe just doesn't fit me ^^')

DAO, Ali is always king (since I cannot not let the guy lop Loghain's head off. Even if he were reluctant, my char would most probably push him into doing it)

I thought about it more as I was painting my bedroom door.

Alistair would die for the warden. Has a scene where he does just that. So in a Ali vs Cullen death choice, I would save Ali. But thank goodness that scene never happened and I can huggle both my templars.

And I do agree that his romance is pretty well-written; I quite enjoyed it And I have trouble forcing myself through Blackwall's romance. I admit I was a bit thrown when he and my Cadash were going on about having feelings for each other when I'd literally flirted with him maybe twice lmao

Alistair was for lack of resources too said by Gaider himself, well if you had resources for only one m/m option you fucking genius why did you give us the elf that can betray you, that is not a plot-relevant character and who is a depraved bisexual™ and without forgetting that dudebros can use the bury your gays trope right away when you meet him. And he wrote this character, and Dorian's backstory  :gasp:  Fenris is good, but that weird line "it's because I'm a man" tho... dunno, the man has done a lot for queerness in games but... it's not all pink and rainbows.

Solas wasnt a bi option because of that depraved bisexual trope, but then again we had Iron Bull (who I adore, but this is not the case) and Cullen, because I dont know, maybe being a little queer would have turned him into a depraved bisexual too... Biowhur is full of bullshit.

Spiders has the potential of becoming a more inclusive company, hoping for the best for Greedfall. Dunno if you knew this but in Technomancer, the achievements for romancing the two women are both named after puns referring to their respective characters' backstories, whereas the achievement for romancing Andrew is simply titled "Soulmate", how nice is that? Spiders thank you. If only this company had the resources that Biowhur has.

Oh yes! The stupidest answer ever! I can't believe, it wrote a gay man... I never use this, the red answer is very good, the purple is just an old, stupid dick-joke. Anders was plot relevant enough, true, not a Disney-type... but also true, I'm not a Disney-type, so, he's the best.

I love Zevran's romance arc, and Zevran's character is great. Despite sometimes he annoys me, but still he was the first in-game gay romance, so, I was happy with him, and I cant forget that. True, still makes me angry, that they was not able to fix that bug, if the Warden stayed with Zevran, Zevran still offered a sex to Hawke... (The modders fixed that.)

In Inquisition Dorian would be plot relevant IF we go to Tevinter... but now? Now just annoy me, because of his back story, and his romance end too. (And the fangirls...! "Oh Dorian! My sad boy! Always makes me cry! My Inki's best friend... They going shopping with Vivienne, aww! Dorian a fashion-man! Headcanon!") A walking witty-peacock gay stylist stereotype! Stereotypes are okay, and exist, but he was the first gay romance, really needed that? (Perhaps without fangirls I could like him better.) I finished once, with my first created elf, and I didn't feel the chemistry, so I went for Cassandra with a Trevelyan, was not bad, I like Cassandra. But created a qunari to Dorian, for one more chance. I love the character, but, maybe he should been go to Iron Bull... I simply like Bull better.

I finished a game with an Adaar and Iron Bull: despite that, I didn't find him attractive, I liked his romance better than Dorian's.

So now have a single Character, with platonic, hopeless love toward Cullen, and a character created for Cullen, but not started the romance yet. (I haven't many time to play.) It would really-really good a Cullen-type gay knight character, to break this stereotype. I not really hoping...

I really dislike it when people tear down characters to present their preference in a better light. I love Zevran and he was not a deviant bisexual. That's all I got to say about it, because this is the CULLEN thread. And ya, it went a little offtopic to share love of Alistair too. But it should not go offtopic to share HATE.

Anyway, back to Cullen.

Two different people recently discovered that Cullen would NOT break up with them if they chose not to marry him. They originally had thought the marriage ruined the romance since they thought it was a choice between "get married" or "break up." Instead of what it actually was which was stay together no matter what, marriage optional.
