@hanako Jose would arrange diplomatic team ups across the table to serve her victories during the game. I wouldn't bet against her that easily even in Varric vs Jose match. melbella Peanut is just keeping your head warm at night. cmoe You powers of persuading others into art are as formidable as Jose's. Your friend is most talented. Bonus points for my favourite trio. But, why does Alistair have all his clothes on? In this match up I would bet on Fenris. close2myheart All that controlled passion is certainly appealing. These feelings tend to border violent, thus, he would be conflicted how to channel them gently and would be extremely afraid of any violence he could not control. It's interesting that he splashes out some of that energy excess to remove the aggression edge onto his maps and books. Cullen also admits on the battlements that he wanted to kiss Inky for months. The more evil that conversation at Haven is about the Templar vows. At that moment he needs to run around in his head with a fire extinguisher.

Alistair and Cullen need to team up if they want any chance against Fenris. But, they're too honourable for such trickery. I imagine out of 10 games, Alistair might lose 2-3, Cullen 7-8 and Fenris none. Fenris would have that impenetrable calm and game control.

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I haven't seen it and I'm sure it's worth talking about again and again, maybe with perspective changing a bit over time. We get so many romantic scenes with Cullen. Most of them are very gentle. I'm curious which ones you guys favour the most. So far my favourite is when he shows Inky a special place by the pond that has so much significance and his history. Everything about that scene relates to a loving bond he shares with his family. I adore how he talks about his siblings, how they are a noisy bunch and he used to escape from them sometimes for some peace and quiet. Having a quiet spot resonates so much with me because I'm also introverted and require my space. For someone who abides by the rules, it's such a nice touch that he still places family higher because he's willing to hide that coin given to him by his brother and disobeyed a rule that forbid Templars from having personal items. Then there is the aspect of him willing to part with an item of sentiment for our Inquisitor because he worries about her and hopes that having this coin might ward her from harm. Every word in that scene is caring, loving, just awww.

That battlements scene should be used as a treatment against gloomy, depressing days since it never fails to make me laugh. I was very much torn between accepting the coin and asking Cullen to keep it because it's his bond with his brother and with a family he so rarely gets to see. In a way accepting it is accepting a bond with his family too. After much hesitation, Inky accepted it out of respect for his wishes as he would consider carefully before deciding to part with an item of such personal significance, also because it would put his mind a bit more at ease. Cullen has to put his entire faith and trust into our Inky's abilities, while he recognises there are plenty of miracle situations in their fight with Cory which she survives. As much as he wishes to protect her, he cannot do things instead of her. Handing that coin over to her which supposedly trice carries him through horrible situations helps him believe that he could be more with her in those difficult situations she'd encounter.

@dustyelf Thank you. As much as I love it when he flies into the passionate 'stuttering you be damned I kick you aside for pounce rawr' I favour so much all those cuddling scenes. The coin one melts me into a deeper puddle with each line. It's like you writers are fluff sadists. You slay me with cute. phoray I haven't seen the mabari scene yet or the wedding and wicked grace is refusing to activate for me even though I've already finished Varric's Bianca quest.

At this point I'm getting close to attacking Cory's Arbor Wilds outpost, but haven't unlocked one of the maps yet or explored much of the Emerald Graves. After seeing how many DLC DA2 has, I'm suddenly unsure if Trespasser is actually a part of the game or we have to buy it separately. I'm concerned the game will end for me once I disintegrate Cory into molecules.

And then you can roll around doing all the other things you don't feel like doing. But I wouldn't wait until post game. Post game may let you do all the stuff you skipped, but it breaks the repeatable kiss scene. I have no idea why. But who would want to keep playing if they can't take a break to smooch their commander, eh? Im pretty sure you can't even buy DAI without the DLC. It's been a package forever.

But who would want to keep playing if they can't take a break to smooch their commander, eh?*slams fist on the table* GAME THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Whai you steal my joy in life?

adonniel If you bought GOTY edition it would have everything. Do you have Trials available in your game? If so, then you have Trespasser. It isn't available until after Cory's defeat, at which point you will get a WT icon for heading to the Exalted Council. Make you sure do EVERYTHING else first since you will be locked out of all other content once you start Trespasser.

GOTY = game of the year edition. It includes the base game and all DLCs, of which Trespasser is the last.
Trials are a set of combat/scenario mechanics you can set up when you create your character or any time later on. Pull up your options menu and they should be listed there, if you have Trespasser installed. They were included with the DLC.
Edit: you can also see what content you have installed via Origin, if you are playing on PC. Go to Show Game Details --> Extra Content

Favourite Cullen's scene, hunh? ... Can I NOT pick just one? ^^' Lets see.. I guess each scene has it's favourite moment for me. Brace yourself for the incoming cheesy and more cheesy lines bellow. 1st kiss : First time seeing that, I may have dropped my jaw somewhere. He gave her a surprise kiss out on the battlements, in broad DAYLIGHT while patrolmen were just passing through. I love how things switched gears quickly from him being awkward to suddenly being sure and taking control. Damn. 2nd : The date by the lake. I love knowing that he values family life. And for my Lavellan, the most touching part of that scene is when he gave her something of emotional value to him. It almost felt like a promise to her, that he isn't fooling around. That he loves her for real. And I really love her reply too, "I'll keep it safe". For my Lavellan, that was the start of a promise taken and a promise given. At this time, she's starting to consider the serious repercussion between her obligation of being First to the clan and her sa'lath (one/only love). 3rd : That 1st night together. I love how he cups her face and then seeing his hands clenched tight, LoL . Things certainly escalates quickly LoL. 4th : After the fight in the Arbor Wilds.. will not spoil you the details, but I love how his voice cracks a little in the end. Kudos for the VA for nailing that part 5th : Home coming after toasting Corypheus. 6th : Everything Cullen in Tresspasser. But I guess.. If I HAVE to pick 1 moment from all of them. Then that moment is during Tresspasser. 1 sentence, 2 words and the things that followed after.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA I feel this way about all the romances I've tried, to be honest. Oh, except Blackwall's repeatable kissing scene is awful in every way, so I don't miss out on that one so much. Even Cullen's isn't that great after the 6th time. The "Surprise Arms" made sense the first time, and no sense any time thereafter. I feel like an idgit. Of the romances I've tried thus far, Cass has the best repeatable kiss scene. They find a cozy corner in the barn with sparking light coming through a window. Walk up to each other, lean in, and kiss. You know. Like normal people who are neither surprised by the activity or posing for it. Dorian's is second on my list, but I feel like it's a bit Loaded by going to the bedroom.

You two make me laugh.
Generally on a PT, I do and anything Mother Giselle is complaining about. Usually that's hungry folks in the hinterlands (which I do before visiting Val Royeux), the undead of crestwood, and the people going missing in Emprise Du Lion. I break up this slightly underwhelming questing with visits to SKyhold as needed and the two main missions: Adamant and the Winter Palace. Once both of those are done, I don't like to have much on my questing plate, because our handsome Commander is "ready to attack" on our Order and it seems kinda silly to go off and do unimportant non main mission things.
I save Descent and Jaws DLC only for special snowflake Inquisitors I adore. I always do Trespasser.

phoray You mean you don't need to pull 300 more roots out of the ground while the entire Inquisition army along with the handsome Commander is on their tip toes at stand by? I don't like doing what mother Giselle tells me to. I called her 'old cleric' when I first saw her because she reminded me of Wynne, even if technically she isn't that old. She's rather busy harassing Dorian with her suspicions which I do not approve. gurr Is anyone else having a forum lag where when you click on the thumbs up it doesn't click or clicks and then unclicks?

Cost of open world I guess. I don't know if you got the Giselle scene where she disapproves of the friendship/relationship with Dorian, but she channels Wynne so hard at that moment I cringed. Hello Wynne 2.0! I just like doing missions that get Game Recognition. The fact she stops bringing up all the Ongoing Tragedies, because I've fixed them, is satisfying

At least Wynne walks it back and even apologizes; and maybe I just have warm fuzzies for Wynne because she's hands down in my top five DA companions ever, but she actually seems to MEAN it when she apologizes. Better than Mother Horrible and her skiterring backwards away tripping over her own tongue trying not to sound like the judgmental pious *ahem* that she is.
