No, my Alec and my Scott (PC) have the same eye color. So maybe eye color depends on the protagonist Ryder? Some weird ass system behind the family resemblance in any case. It does. The PC's eyes always match Alec.

I used the most favorite female from MEArchives and i just make minor changes hair color etc. + my own male, but i didn't use any asian apperance for 100%. That was very odd, i feel very much as if I was adopted.

You know what the worst is about this? I wanted to start a new game as my sister using the same Ryders from my first playthrough and I got Ultima Dad (the skinny, young-looking one) the first time becuase it correlates to the male Ryder preset I chose but when picking preset 9 or whichever it was (looks like a white gal) I got the dad ryder in that picture. First of all why didn't they make the look based on a combination of the presets in some kind of system? It could be that maybe 3-4 presets go under the "afro-american" category, another is asian and then caucasian people, and they could check whether both Ryder twins were one or the other, make a combination check, but they didn't and it sucks. Second of all how the hell does one of the white Sara presets make dad Ryder black? I know bro could be black too but both of mine look completely unlike daddy Ryder and at most maybe Sara could be a latino, but not a black girl with big lips and the trademark proportions. It just made my family look unbelievable, and all I wanted was the same dad as in Playthrough 1

My non default Alec is hot af imo Funny thing is, I used the ugliest female Ryder because I figured not many would chose her, so I could pretend to myself she was unique. I wish I'd taken a screenshot of his face, but here is my female Ryder: that's far from an ugly anything. I meant the preset. The one with the bugged eyes and the bangs. My Ryder turned ok despite. I don't mind playing normal/basic ugly pc, though.

I'm going to be real with you....all the presets are kinda ugly. Young have to play with them to make it not ugly. And your Ryder turned out far from ugly.

It's silly you can't choose all the presets. The same thing with DA2. Many times I started over and used a different skin color etc to get the Bethany, Gamlen and Leandra that I liked. You don't choose a pure milk anglosaxon complexion and BOOM, the game decides your family is black.

The problem I'm having is that the twins don't match. I custom made a white Scott(going off memory I think I went with preset 4?), went to custom make his sister and she defaults to Asian. And I cant change her preset because it resets my custom Scott. So I'm stuck with either Default Sara or Asian Sara.

Switching to a customer head only switches Sara's head for me on Sara.

If you want to play as Scott Ryder, the first option in the CC is to select the sex of who you want to play as. Select, male, then customize his appearance. Further down it asks you about the sibling and you can select default, or custom. If you select custom, it automatically starts at Preset 1, which is an asian woman, and then you can scroll down to the head you want and customize her. It sounds like you are customizing Scott (assuming he's your PC in your example) in the right spot and then trying to create Sara from the same category which is for the character you want to be playing as, which, yes when you select Male again, it would go to default Scott Ryder. Does that make sense?

This system works on a very clear rule. Your father is based ONLY on one character, he is NOT a mix of both brother/sister. His face is based on the male presets, however which face will be taken is determined by the NUMBER of the preset that player chose for HIS/HER character, regardless of player's gender. To say it simply, he is based on the NUMBER of your preset (player character). So if you play as Female Preset 9, then your father will be Male Preset 9, just older. If you play as Female Preset 5, then your father is older Male Preset 5 and so on.
Technically Male and Female presets ARE connected in terms of nationality, genes and so on. To get best results you should always base BroRyder and FemRyder on the same number, so at least one of you will be similiar to your father (so if you play as FemRyder P9, then you should make your brother BroRyder P9 so he will look a lot like your father).
Let's take some examples from female perspective:
FemRyder (PC) - Preset 9 Brother - Preset 9 Father - Older P9 Outcome - your father and brother share a lot of similiarity (they basically look almost the same)
FemRyder (PC) - Preset 9 Brother - Preset 4 Father - Older Preset 9 Outcome - basically all of you look different, because your father is based on the male preset 9, yet your brother is male preset 4, so neither you are similiar to your father (after all there's little similiarity between male and female presets of the same number) nor your brother is (he's using entirely different preset)
If you want your father to look a lot like your player character, then you should play as male. Since father's preset is taken after player character, in this case you're playing male, so your father will always look like older version of you. He will use the same preset as you use and he will just have some wrinkles on his face. Your sister preset in this case is basically meaningless.
Let's take an example from male perspective:
BroRyder (PC) - Preset 4 Sister - Preset 9 Father - Older Preset 4 Outcome - you and your father use the same preset and look very similiar to each othe

But no matter how many times I try, as soon as I go to change the preset for my twin I get the warning message saying "changing the preset will reset all of your changes" or something to that effect. I'm at work now so I don't have it right in front of me. I ignored it the first time, thinking "well I haven't made any changes to her yet" and my Scott was back to the original preset 4, all of the changes I made to him were gone. I did successfully manage to customize both twins in one playthrough (probably because this *was* my Asian playthrough) but all of my others I've had to use the default twin.

Yes, it sounds like you are customizing your player character in the right spot, but then staying in the exact same field to try and customize your twin. Make sure you are scrolling down to where it specifically tells you it's the option to customize your twin. Seems like you are selecting male, customizing your PC, then selecting female from the same field, which is also customizing your PC except you will now be Sara Ryder instead of Scott.

I think the game *thinks* I'm changing my PC when I'm actually under "customize twin".
