Just like there was no point in bringing back Shepard, right? There is no point in bringing back Shepard unless they make a prequel to Mass Effect 1, besides I likely wouldn't like the MET as much if they left Shepard and his crew story at Mass Effect 1. The one thing I hate about Dragon Age is we get a new protagonist every game. If I could still play as my Grey Warden or my Inquisitor in the next game I would in a heartbeat. Yep, I have still never played DA2 and only played a couple hours of DAI after I bought it on a $5 Origin sale. Once we lost the Warden I lost interest.

Yep that's it. Just afraid of the big scary change. I'm not trying to be mean, but it sounds like you kinda are. Or you could read my posts and see it is about story consistency and cohesiveness, but that wouldn't support your side of the issue I suppose. You're right, better to just invent reasons why to try and insult me, whatever works I guess. If they want to continue with the Ryders and continue with the story elements they created you don't just throw out all the supporting characters. If they want to move on to a whole new story, fine go right ahead. Jump us 500 years into the future and show us what became of all of Ryder and the team's hard work.

Drack dies of old Age.
PeeBee is murdered by Cora.
Cora becomes a bitter rival trying to kill you all.
Jaal gives up on life after his family is killed in a Kett strike because of Cora, you witness the aftertmath and he immolates himself out of some twisted alien tradition.
Vetra and Sid settle down in rural Kadara and raise livestock. Cora knows not to get within rifle range.
Liam tried to side with Cora and you get to airlock his ass or accept his request to shoot him first.
Gil moves to Eos to care for Jill after she took a tumble off a ledge fetching water.
Lexi becomes despondent and takes to red sand eventually showing up in a side quest with intel in where to find Cora.
You can get her help or shoot her.
Your sister moves in with Kallo and brings great shame upon your family. She send you emails about how happy they are on the Nexus, her studying remnant pieces you find out there exploring and Kallo driving a taxi for Angaran diplomats.
Suvi would move back into the lower class quarters of the Nexus setting up above a space bowling ally spending her days chewing gum and listening to audio logs about rocks.
The tempest would be retrofitted for combat and be out blasting space pirates in no time.

I suppose you are right, just like in Empire Strikes Back how Han and Leia along with Chewie and the droids all left for some far off adventure and were never seen or heard from again. Or in the Lord of the Rings how Aragon and Legolas and Gimli all just disappeared without a trace halfway through. I totally see it now. I'm going to go out on a limb and say more people agree with me and don't care for a stagnant game with no imagination. I wouldn't play the majority/minority game. nevertheless, there is nothing wrong with retaining a cast SO LONG as you actually expand on them. I myself would prefer a few companions to change, but I wouldn't mind them all coming back so long as Bioware feels like they can legitimately expand on them. There's no point in changing characters out if you're just going to bring in another that won't be expanded on, plus I feel a writer is even better when he adds more to an already existing character over takin the easy road and creating an entirely different character.

You can't have a cast of thousands, there is barely enough time to have meaninful dialogue with 6, also voice actors and animation aren't free. I have no problem saying most. Most people like variety and new things.

I kinda defeats the purpose of having an ongoing story when you recycle the characters every chapter. Bringing in new a whole new squad or new protagonist each game you are just constantly repeating the 'getting to know' part of the story, no one ever changes or grows or develops because by the time you finish meeting them they are gone. That's why Garrus and Tali are so popular, you actually see them grow and change along with Shepard over the course of all 3 games.

Drack goes out in a blaze of glory somehow. I say while rescuing the Quarian ark. It's only fitting.
The rest can easily move on with their respective interests, what they came to Andromeda for. Except, perhaps, Cora, since she's the backup human Pathfinder.
How, and with whom, you replace the motley crew is a better question.

So what are some good ways to get rid of each? Drack should die. Peebee - Cora - Liam - Jaal - Vetra -
One of the Ryder twins should be captured by Kett, injected with Kettjuice, and turned into a morbid creation before you can rescue them. You have to fight your twin in an epic boss fight.
Mommy Ryder's pod should be captured by Kett, her body should be experimented on while she's still alive. They cure her disease, transforming her into one of their horrid creations before you can rescue her. She becomes the new evil Kett queen, who you try to get along with, but inevitably have to kill in an epic boss fight.
Peebee should be captured by Kett while she's rummaging through wells. She's injected and transformed. You have to kill her, and her wild new bot creation, in an epic boss fight.
Drack should be captured by Kett and turned into a beastly Krogan creation before you can rescue him. Another epic boss fight.
Liam should die for being stupid and annoying. He should voluntarily surrender to the Kett and inject himself with syrup. No boss fight needed. He dies on planet H-980 fighting rabid hoards of squirrel-like creatures and nobody cares.
Cora should be helping Vetra teach Sid how to fight when they are captured by Kett, injected and transformed. You show up late to the rescue again. Another boss fight ensues.
Jaal should willingly leave your party. And the moment he steps off your ship, he should be captured by the Kett and injected with beetlejuice. Another epic boss fight.
That should solve the lack of boss fight variety this game has. And eliminate all of these horrible characters from the game.

Drack - Drack will die in a spectacular battle where he saves the rest of the squad by sacrificing himself. Kesh or Kesh's boyfriend/suitor will step up and find they've got a quad after all and take Drack's place. He will die at some point. It's one of the most common conversational topics for him. I know, I know. Bioware says no squadmates die in this game. But if not this one, the next.
Peebee - Will go off on her merry way, showing up now and then to continue her romance with Ryder if the player chooses to. Alternatively, she will run off with Jaal and help with his endeavors in between collecting more remnant tech.
Cora - Agree. She'll want a team of her own. Maybe an almost all-asari group of commandos. She's just not meant to be second. Of course, there will be no hard feelings and she'll return for the romance if the player chooses. She'll always have Ryder's back when needed, if only for sentimental reasons. Either that or she'll become a traitor who's been working for the Benefactor all along. Not likely, though. That would be too controversial these days. She'll have her own condo somewhere with a small rose garden on the balcony.
Liam - Agree about HUSTL, though I think he'll continue to try to speak for and unite all people, including those on Kadara and work toward getting the exiles to come back to the fold. Or at least create a good relationship between them and Nexus.
Jaal -I see him still feeling angst over what happens with his people and the kett and he ends up joining the resistance. If he and Peebee get along, they'll be together, as far as Peebee allows.
Vetra - She is the toughest one. I really like her and would love to keep her but I can see her deciding to set a safer example for Sid, and becoming Minister of Trade, or some such thing on the Nexus.
No matter what happens to any of them, if the player romanced any of them, I think it will be up to the player to decide whether they want to continue, or even start a romance with any of them. There won't be any surprise cheating by the loved one, though story-wise I wouldn't mind but others really take those things personally, so I doubt BW would pull that again.
Each squad member will/could be replaced by an equivalent class and sex to add even more romantic entanglements if one chooses.

Drack: He isn't quite ready to die yet. In a conversation while driving around in the Nomad he states that he's probably at a point where he'll die of old age at the same time the other squadmates do (minus PeeBee), so he's probably got another 40-60 years in him. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if Bioware killed off anyway. Perhaps he decides to retire from fighting so he can be there for Kesh.
Cora: Could be training fledgling, Initiative commandos in order to defend/ go on the offensive against the Kett.
Liam: Is given command of his own HUSTL style team.
PeeBee: Off looking for remnant.
Jaal: Already turned down a promotion in the resistance, so he'd need some kind of personal reason to leave. Perhaps his family were attacked/ killed/ captured in a Kett attack.
Vetra: The only reason I could think for Vetra to be leaving the Tempest would be if her sister was in danger of some kind.

I'm sure they won't wipe the whole squad and if we lose anyone, it will be Drack. I think what's most likely is that they'll just add more people to choose from, or possibly do something like ME2 and take some away to do their thing, but make them more accessible during the game. No matter what happens to any of them, if the player romanced any of them, I think it will be up to the player to decide whether they want to continue, or even start a romance with any of them. They can do what the did with Ashley / Kaiden in ME2.
Just have them there, in the world, somewhere, in a minor role.
Meet the character, have a brief convo, move on.

I don't think having Drack die would be terribly controversial, though I'd prefer he went out with a bang somehow. His character is framed around his awareness of his mortality and his nearing the end of the line, so his death in our timeline would be fitting. I don't think they should all disappear from the roster though. Even ME2's companion upheaval gave us 2 of our previous allies. There has to be a selection of the lot that stick around. Ultimately it would probably vary based on popularity, but the ones I think would probably remain are Vetra, Peebee and Cora.
I will say though, being separated from your closest allies and being reunited at some point later in the story appeals to me a great deal conceptually.

They all died in a Tempest crash, including Ryder. So maybe in the next game we can get a good protagonist that we can relate to, great and interesting squadmates that we can care about, and a new ship that doesn't look like a dick when viewed from below.
