Oh this one is easy. First you'll want to decide if you want to go with mechanical steam power, or if you want to generate electricity. The first method will probably lighten your whole system by a few thousand pounds, but the electric generation method would be more fuel efficient (you'll have to refuel ever 60 years instead of every 40 years. wow!). either method will require you to set up a primary and secondary system to transfer energy.

You'll need to get your hands on some military-grade uranium fuel plates, mixed in with some xenon poisons and such. encase the plates in a moderator to create the core of your primary system. water works, but you'll need a pressurizer to prevent steam formation. molten salt is more efficient. graphite is probably the best, but you'll melt your car (and likely everything in a half mile radius) if anything goes wrong, so i don't recommend that. you'll need a way to control reactor power, so hook up some hafnium rods to the top of your core. you definitely will want to install a scram function for any emergency shutdowns (not that it matters, you'll be dead already).

awesome, your core and primary system are ready to go! go ahead and connect it to a steam generator on a secondary loop, and you got yourself a nice continuous source of high energy steam. Run that through your motor (or generator for electricity) and you have efficiency for days.
