I wish I could relive the magic of The Witcher 3 for the first time. Such an incredible game. If you haven't purchased them, the DLC's are completely worth it, especially Blood and Wine. B&W, with all the side content and collectibles, is easily 30-40+ hours of extra content. It's how DLC should be. I bought TW3 during a steam sale ages ago but it's just sitting there hibernating. Never played any of the Witchers. I want to spend some time on YouTube watching plot summaries of the first two games before I begin. You don't really need to know about the first two games. If you want to prepare, you need to read the books

I've been playing MEA multiplier and Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but I'll probably start a 2nd playthrough soon to play alongside Horizon Zero Dawn. Zelda is not really holding my attention, the tiny stamina bar, breakable weapons & fiddle combat is frustrating, so I find myself moving away from it sooner that other Zeldas. How far did you get into Zelda? It's rather harsh early on, but once you get decent gear, durability really isn't that much of an issue. Especially once you obtain the Master Sword and Hylian Shield (the former can never break and the latter has a ridiculous amount of durability), gear becomes far less of a concern. The stamina bar, much like health containers, can be increased by doing the 120 shrines in the game. Not sure what you mean by "fiddle combat," as combat in Zelda has been the same since Ocarina. I do enjoy flurry rush and perfect guards, myself. I may be a bit biased as I've been wanting this kind of Zelda game since Ocarina. I'm still a bit shocked Nintendo would change the Zelda formula this much.

I really wouldn't recommend playing TW3 until you have gone through those games, or at least know the basic story and characters. You really can't truly appreciate TW3 fully without having that background knowledge and previous adventures under your belt.

Jade Empire (I'm going to try and beat this for a second time).
AC: Black Flag (I'm going to spend time upgrading my Jackdaw).
AC: Syndicate (I'm going to start this when I finish Jade Empire).
Witcher 3 (Now with Hearts of Stone/Blood and Wine Expansions).
- Wolf With modifications or without? Stellaris. Got quite good after this weeks' patch. Intelligent scifi, true exploration, exotic aliens, and it even has rpg elements. What?

I'm gonna go back to Nier: Automata and get the last 3 (real) endings, maybe do The Ringed City DLC for Dark Souls 3. Might go to one of the Tales games, or Persona 5.

However, you aren't going to understand the events that are transpiring. I disagree. TW1 and TW2's stories won't really help much understand what's going on in TW3 beyond Radovid's stuff, and the books provide a far better background not just for the characters, but also for the Nilfgaardian invasion and its implications. Plus if you don't read the books the antagonist feels really half assed imo.

There are some really in depth ones that play like movies which is what I want. I just need to find the time.

The books really won't be very helpful. The games create their own separate story from the books. If you never play TW1 and TW2, TW3 is not going to make a lot of sense. Plus if you don't read the books the antagonist feels really half assed imo. Agree to disagree. There will simply be things you miss out on if you did not experience the first two games. Not only are those adventures that characters in TW3 will reference, but some of those choices also do impact TW3 and who shows up. There are also plenty of characters you simply will not know if you never played the previous games, such as Shani, who plays a major role in Hearts of Stone. There are so many callbacks to TW1 and TW2 that one would miss a lot just jumping straight into TW3. For anyone that wants to jump into The Witcher games, playing the previous games (or at least getting plot summaries of them) are far more valuable than the books. Most of what you will learn from the novels is additional backgrounds on major characters and further context on the world. It's great for a lore buff, but most of it isn't incredibly relevant to the actual story in the games. Not to mention, the three games actually cover most of the important plot-relevant material in the novels with regard to the Wild Hunt. Obviously, it's even better if you play the previous games and read the books, but the games are far more relevant and useful.

There are some really in depth ones that play like movies which is what I want. I just need to find the time. I can understand that. Even for a 2007 game, the combat is really bad. I don't mind it that much once you realize it's a simple timing sequence. TW2's combat is very similar to TW3's combat. I don't think you'd have an issue playing that game. The only reason I'd recommend it is because you could then import your TW2 save into TW3. It makes for a much more seamless experience. Nothing wrong with watching a Lets Play though. My only issue with those is you don't have control over the choices the player makes, and there are a lot of choices in TW1 and TW2.

I never played the first Mass Effects series. I was more about Jobs and kids at the time, but my life is mellowing out in a good way, giving me more free time.
Thinking about buying the bundle and running through ME1-3 on the PS3. I heard they may be working on a ps4 version? I would rather hold out for that if it's a real thing [ just so I can play remote ].
I also never finished all the DAI DLC's. I put one down but I still have 2 to go! I switched over to MP and that grabbed all my gaming time [ for like 18 months ]. So I may run the 2 DAI DLC's I have left or finalize my quest for the crescent shadow in DAIMP [ if anyone still is playing ].
I planned not try some MEAMP until I finish the game [ in case I get sucked in ] but I am super tempted to go on an APEX mission and see if I dig it.
Lastly, Witcher 3. I have just been waiting to start. Everyone says it's great so that may be my best option.

With modifications or without? When it comes to Jade Empire, at the moment I'm only using the Dawn Star - Texture Fix it's found on Nexusmods. Afterwards I am thinking
of changing the gameplay system up (I may install Jade Empire in Style, which adds new combat styles to Jade Empire. I seen it on Mod DB).

I went back to Wildlands a bit, will probably mainly play Borderlands 2 until Prey comes out. Also plan on doing another PT of MEA once they finish releasing the planned patches or whenever a DLC comes out probably.

Waiting for one or two more patches then will do an Insanity play through.
Last night I loaded up Neverwinter (on Xbox). A couple of new campaigns since I last played, and some changes. It was fun to return to it.
Still need to finish Ghost Recon Wildlands.

Nothing much. Currently waiting for the new patches for ME:A. In the meantime just furthering my career in WWE 2K17. I plan to do a second playthrough for ME:A before Injustice 2 comes out, because after that I'll be too busy playing that to focus on ME. Also waiting for Mount and Blade but that seems a ways off.

MEA put me in the mood for Mass Effect so I think I'm going to go do an ME1 run, been a while. Depending on how long it takes them to update the CC and how well they do it I might even go do ME2 and 3. If they ever add some decent options for the Sara presets maybe I'll come back for a Sara run finally.
I still got TW3 sitting on my desktop waiting on me to play it, might finally get around to that.
