This is a guide/video that was posted on reddit (not mine). it's pretty informative, and makes the kineticist look pretty fun/effective on gold. in essence, you pull red health mooks (instantly disabling), and throw them at other enemies. if either of those two enemies were primed, the collision causes a detonation. the player in the video uses the PAW to ammo prime targets very quickly, and then pull/throw them into groups of enemies for a directed tech/fire/biotic explosion. Relying character's viability on ammo you can only get from RNG packs is absolutely ridiculous Eh, I don't think so. Sure, in the early weeks you can't plan builds around an ammo type, but tbh, I already have more ammo than I'm ever going to use, and we're what...3 weeks in? By the end of my run in ME3MP, I had literally hundreds if not a thousand+ ammo consumables (except for Fire III/IV, cause I'm a warping scrub). I expect I'll already be at that point in MEAMP in another month at the rate I'm going. As long as I'm switching kits regularly, I can load boosters onto every single gold match and never run out of any particular type of booster.

Doesn't prime. Doesn't track. Throw does everything it can do but better. If it didn't exist we might have got something better (Warp, Reave, Stasis). It has no synergy with the other powers in any kit but the Asari Adept. Duelist - Charge/Lance? Why? Huntress - Throw/Lance? Why? Kineticist - use Pull then you can use Throw or Lance. Why would you pick Lance? Throw tracks and has a combo damage bonus. It's just shit. It does SIGNIFICANTLY more damage than Throw.

Her TTK is atrocious using said gimmick. I'm not sure I understand what you mean with TTK. Compared to who or what? And why is Pull-Throw a gimmick? What does this have to do with what I've said anyway? In general, at all. her kills are generally slow and require her to be screened and not being shot full of holes while setting up for her combo, Ascension in theory would cover this, on gold it most certainly does not. How is it NOT a gimmick, in SP you can just do this all day, there's no time or objective concerns, Drack and Vetra don't mind you casually stealing the people they were shooting and chunk them into other people they were also shooting; in MP, completely different story. Any character that requires ammo as part of a combo is also off to a bad start. As for which characters are better? Pretty much any sentinel, soldier, infiltrator, asari or angaran, as we can see, a very niche list.

The rest of the time you have your gun and Lance.. which ISN'T BAD. I'm not one to tell people to L2P very often.. but people need to L2P with Lance. It hits hard.. harder than most powers, and can be specced to do extra shield damage and/or ragdoll. Aiming it isn't even hard.. and if you can't get it to consistently hit, you basically suck and need to L2P. I'm not even factoring Ascension Mode into this because you can't consistently guarantee it will be on.. The issue is that even a really strong power does next to no damage compared to a single sniper round. Lance certainly hits hard but when everyone realizes that all powers are weak, even the one with the most damage isn't really all that special. To be honest, the best use of Lance is activating the Biotic Warrior passive (+15% weapon & 50% melee damage for 3s) and getting free casts using shields as an Asari Adept. Other than that it is outclassed by a sniper rifle. Lance is on way too many kits and it certainly isn't better than Dark Channel, Reave, Warp, etc. At least it's hitscan, right?

I don't believe it's hitscan.. I think it has a really fast travel time. You can't compare it to powers that are from another game.. that's apples to oranges. Compared to the powers in THIS game.. it's strong. Is it on too many kits? Yes.. I agree that it is. Compared to a sniper rifle headshot.. every power in ME3 was weak too.. especially after the introduction of Phasic ammo.

She's dope af. Who gives a shit if Johnny infiltrator can dps circles around her with a Vanquisher? Do any of you play for fun at all? She can launch motherfuckers (and gas cans 'n shit) into each other for combo explosions and hurl enemies off the map assembly line style. She's been shown to be totally viable on Gold, which I'm sure for the most part none of us have any trouble succeeding on anyway lol. Ultra Rare doesn't have to mean S+ tier broken godmode characters; she's unique enough to warrant the distinction.

She is awesome and does fine on gold. Need priming ammo and fast firing weapon but still a solid character and an absolute awesome one to play. Tons of fun. Might be the funnest in the game. But if all you want to do is cloak and shoot shit with a vanquisher or spam nades or face tank melee stuff while blind button mashing have at it...

Energy Drain + Throw doesn't kill anything; Biotic combo detonations don't kill anything; Turrets don't kill anything, neither does Incinerate. Soldiers and Infiltrators cannot combo without using ammo (which is bad in your opinion); you can't be talking about grenades either since they rely on boosters as well, not to mention you'll be running from one ammo box to the next (that's way too complicated and you'll probably end up full of holes doing so, right?). Stuff like Turbo Charge and Cloak are utterly useless without a decent weapon (how good is your TTK with the Avenger VI on any of the kits you've listed?)

It even chain primes Hydras and Destroyers, while Kineticist looks at them uselessly. On top of that Sentinel's Barricade primes multiple target and re-primes them too after explosion. Also, Energy Drain is both a detonator and a primer, which allows you to do ammo > ED detonate > Throw detonate combo of dual detonation and CC on all targets - armor, shields whatever. Finally, Sentinel has +42% weapon damage and +45% accuracy passive inside barricade, meaning automatic guns do actual damage and can kill shit. I have Kineticist and it's like nowhere near Human Sentinel when it comes to effectiveness and to add insult to the injury - Sentinel is a common class, so you have it at X pretty much by default. Like that shit guide with Kineticist where he uses ammo and explosions? Sentinel is times better at this, simply because of chain priming and detonating on top of awesome defenses AND gun damage, so you can actually gun tough shit down, instead of of praying for your team to save your ass and hoping you won't drop Ascension. And if that is not enough - every time I ED, allies near me regen 50% shield and Barricade can block frikkin' Fiends from going through or just about anything if you place it at the door. This kit does excellent gun damage, CC, multi-primes, multi-detonates AND supports at the same time, Kineticist is not even half that.

It seems that Pull with the anti-shield evo deals more damage to shields than ED (or a tech explosion) does - which is beyond retarded if you would ask me. Throw stuns Berserkers, and has no cooldown (just like Pull & Lance btw) with AM active. The Kineticist doesn't have to wait for cooldowns to detonate like the Sentinel does, so if you're gonna factor in ammo (and teammate) priming she will be better than the Sentinel in that regard as well. If you like staying in one place all the time, sure. All the automatic weapons I have are crap so I can't comment on that one. Doubt that any of em will get close to what the Vanquisher can do though - even with the barricade bonuses. Your personal experience isn't an argument; and being UR isn't either. So the Kineticist shouldn't use ammo to prime enemies because that's shit, but the Sentinel should and is therefore better at ammo priming? I can understand if people don't like her, but you are clearly going out of your way to make her look far worse than she actually is.

Meanwhile in the real world, she is squarely middle of the pack effective and reliant on a non-gold-clutch worthy mechanic that is pretty ok at best during issue/clutch/two ascendants and a fiend times. She's fine for silver and when fully screened by bros and sisses in gold, and that's about it. She's not even in the top ten and probably not even in the top fifteen, and for a character you're expected to grind about 50 hours to max out, that's the rote definition of mediocre.

It's a god compared to that, because it is actually a strong gold kit that is all around useful against everything. Kineticist is simply a piss poor kit that has its moments against disposable trash in the first waves and that's about it. It's only unique thing is pull trash and throw it off map, that's about it - everything else? You have kits that do it times better, while giving a ton of value to the team or just owning by themselves, like those you mentioned.

Meanwhile in the real world, she is squarely middle of the pack effective and reliant on a non-gold-clutch worthy mechanic that is pretty ok at best during issue/clutch/two ascendants and a fiend times. She's fine for silver and when fully screened by bros and sisses in gold, and that's about it. She's not even in the top ten and probably not even in the top fifteen, and for a character you're expected to grind about 50 hours to max out, that's the rote definition of mediocre. You continue to use phrases like "gimmick", "a straight middle of the road character", and "reliant on a non-gold-clutch worthy mechanic" without any explanation what those words mean. Name-calling isn't an argument. All I did was asking questions to understand what you mean by those words, and point out possible inconsistencies in your reasoning. I don't give a damn about topping the scoreboard or any such nonsense. All I'm interested in is having fun, and with ME games that means killing space aliens with big guns and cool abilities. I love tossing enemies around with biotics, it's one of things I like best about ME games. Yet every time someone points out how much fun that can be, others jump in with: "but it doesn't work against armor #NotAllEnemies - so it's bad!", or "doesn't have the highest weapon damage bonus so it's crap", or "my GI outscores your build on Platinum so you suck!"
P.S. The Krogan Sentinel is my favorite ME3 Krogan & VegasFlash is the best capo di tuti capi player in both galaxies!

Shes pretty insane vs anything that isnt armor. Unfortunately thats everywhere on gold so shes pretty meh. Disappointed.
