BioWare Video - Scoring a New Galaxy: The Music of MEA

Except for menu music, i can't remember a single score/music track in the game So yeah.

To bad none of it made it to the game. I can't remember any music of note in the game, this is my first time hearing these songs.

Edit: My game must have been bugged.  They're talking about different music for when you're in stealth, compared to rushing in and fighting.  I'm being totally serious here, I didn't hear any of this in the game, let alone music that changed in tone based on what I was doing.

I thought there were a couple of good ones from the soundtrack - A Trail of Hope & A Better Beginning.

But the rest, yeah... they largely just blended into the background.

As I've said previously, I find complaints that music in this game was absent or not memorable to be utterly bizarre.

DAI had it's moments but with MEA it Feels worse sadly until the final mission. also apparently the bald lady in Vortex was supposed to sing? cause for me she was just standing there. unless they at least fixed that in 1.05. there is still hope with DLCs perhaps. Tresspasser was great in that regard for DAI.

Trespasser and Descent had the best scores imo! And yeah, also some have seen a Turian read poetry, but I haven't seen him yet.

The patch said it fixed the music playing at the wrong time, but in battle I hear the battle music a bit, then it cuts out like DAI's music did when traveling around the map.

As for DLC, I hope this is where it gets fixed! I found the ME2 DLC battle music was better than the main game. Especially Overlord and Shadow Broker!

I do give MEA credit for the music at the beginning that also plays when you get the Tempest and beat the game. It's a theme that's Mass Effect and stands out to me. And the CC music pays homage to the DAI main theme music too.

Yep I also have that problems, when I listen to the music of MEA on youtube, I said WOW that's great music. Problem is in the final game, I heard nearly none of them in my playthroughts, like they would never start, the music they showed us here, I do not remember them.

And I am not saying that in a way "they are not memorable", I mean I litterelly never heard most of them.

I can't agree with that completely. DAO was a treasure for its music imo. I still get shivers from the music in the opening scene, or the Lothering battle music. DAI had the main theme and the Empress of Fire music I agree, but if not for the bard, it was a silent game for many thanks to a weird bug. I think the composer truly stepped up for the DLC in DAI though. I suspect MEA will end up the same way since DAI did get similar poor feedback for its music earlier in its release.

Haha yeah though when it was first released you were lucky to hear anything! That's why I am hoping MEA finds a way to fix this. It seems the bugs with DAI followed to MEA. I wonder if they should consider another engine.

And I heard it all the time in game on both Voeld and Kadara.

Jade Empire, DA:I, and ME2 are my favorite of all the game soundtracks from BioWare.

I know it's great, isn't it?
