Are people invested in these because of the SP loot boxes? Gotta get all that APEX money so you can buy medigel and rockets one at a time for 5 space dollars.

Prior to today my Level 20 team with 5 Positive traits and Exceptional Human Intelligence Gear would typically get Gold missions at 70% Success Rate, and sometimes as high as 78%. After today I noticed a Gold mission with 84%. This was the first time I've seen one higher than 78% so unsure if it was an increase in the Gear effectiveness or just a matter of traits lining up. I will say that the Gear certainly helped, 84% for a Gold is pretty good.

Are people invested in these because of the SP loot boxes? I think people are using them for the MP gear you can buy with MF. I always have more than enough for them. I think some thought there would be more gear to get. There have only been three things so far. For me it was more like 'oh fun little strategy game app based on MEA'

I bought a fourth team. Hopefully fourth time is a charm for Top Talent.
I deleted the app off my phone and will see if that makes a difference.

I just checked in the app, and I do have that achievement, so unfortunately it doesn't appear to be universally bugged. Also, Missions appear to be back to appearing throughout the day rather than one big drop in the evening.

Sad there isn't a good explanation for this problem.

One of your ???? in the exp needed for on level 4, my current level 4 char shows 14,700 needed for level up to 5. On a related note, I have 4 teams at 20, the first 2 have 5 positive traits, but the second two have only 4. I suspect that it may be skipping from level 4 to 6 if you are at the high end of 4 and hit a successful APEX mission (which gives more XP) and not giving a positive trait at level 6. As soon as another non-apex bronze mission shows up i will check to see if i get that second positive trait. Updated: The APEX Bronze mission would have given that team 52,000 exp that would have put the team up to at least level 6, possibly 7. Instead the normal bronze mission gave 17,000 which put me very high into level 5 (Exp needed for level 6 18,600). I did get the level 5 positive trait after missing it on the last two teams. Here is my long term plan 6 teams at 20, 1 with the $250 upgrade exceptional intelligence (i have this on a team with 3 +5 traits) mission % is usually 66% - 74% 5 each with one of the $125 upgrades +40, hopefully not duplicated with another existing trait on that team. This way each team has six separate traits. I have one running right now that is 89% on a gold mission (Night Vision gear +40, and hit both the the two traits for +10/+10)

^The annoying thing is that there is an abundance of gear for Hostage Situation, but some traits that don't seem to have anything.

As of right now there is no point to them for MP except the weekly gear. And those are only 70-120 funds, with shit stats on the gear.

I have two teams doing Bronze and Silver Strike Missions. I ignore the Gold Strike Missions. I play in Multiplayer all the APEX Missions. And I'm swimming in Mission Funds that I will never be able to spend on anything.
You can hit the 94% Success cap on Bronze and Silver with no gear whatsoever. At this time I really think buying any of this stuff is not worthwhile. Just do the Bronze and Silvers every day and that's plenty of Mission Funds coming your way.

Bioware should release super strike missions that require multiple strike teams participating at once.
Just to screw with people who refuse to play with their mission fund ouroboros.

Apex HQ app has an update.
Also I'm in the process of updating the guide into ProBoards format so you don't have to go out to Google Drive to read it.

Isn't it silly that a team can be both fearless and cowardly... Maybe they are mean drunks? Normally cowards but fearless when liquored up. But yeah, it is pretty dumb that you can get teams with off-setting traits.

oops. I have apparently wasted a lot of mission funds giving my teams lvl 4 gear. My plan was to have 5 teams that used the level 4 gear, and one general team using the super human intelligence. Considering that negative traits just stack up over time, I think perhaps I have gone the wrong route.

I'm thinking the same and not sure it is a waste. Doing that lets you choose the best possible chance for Gold success. Over time does that mean you have less cause to retire teams and build a replacement back up to level 20? I don't know. It does appear though that funds won't be scare as there's little to spend them on. So it probably doesn't matter which route you go down.

Maximum MF/day appears to still be 60, so the best possible payback time for the most expensive Strike Team Equipment is slightly over 4 days. That's not a tremendously long time in the greater scheme of things.
I still don't believe any Strike Team Equipment is worth it, for reasons explained in the guide, but at worst you have set yourself back a few days.

That's not a tremendously long time in the greater scheme of things. I still don't believe any Strike Team Equipment is worth it, for reasons explained in the guide, but at worst you have set yourself back a few days. Except equipment only gives you a slightly greater chance of getting those 60 points per day. Without doing any math , I'd estimate it would take you about 4 weeks to recoup the cost of equipment in terms of mission funds that were the direct result of that bonus and perhaps avoiding a few negative traits. Here's my point of view on equipment. I've currently got 4 teams, with the 4th just now hitting lvl 20 with no negative traits. My first team, the Dirty Birds, has only 4 bonuses and just got their 6th negative trait and no equipment. Despite this, they still get 60% on some gold missions and bronze/silver are always above 85%. I'm not going to buy gear for this team. The cost of gear is 125 and about the same as a new 4th strike team (120). Retiring the Dirty Birds and leveling up a new 4th team with the potential for 5 positive traits and less negative traits seems like a much better deal. The same reasoning will apply in 2 months when the new team has a bunch of negative traits. I've got two ideas that would make equipment more appealing and raise the stakes a bit for strike team missions: - Make equipment transferable between teams. I'd happily buy the +40 version of each type of equipment. - Add the possibility of losing a striketeam (and equipment) when you send them on missions with an active negative trait or when they retry a failed mission. I.e don't send a team with Kett hysteria on a Kett mission. This protects new teams from the RNG, but older teams become vulnerable (since apparently all teams eventually acquire all negative traits).
