<<<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> "Not forced"? Hm... The novel is supposed to answer many fan questions. The "how we got there" being very crucial to some fans. Besides, isn't Bio the ones that said "you want answers?", read the prequel. The latter tells me that the game's plot story and tech is based on the choices / discoveries found in the prequel book.... unless we have a Mass Effect Andromeda Keep! I'd like the game to answer the questions. It's what I buy it for. Why would I want to buy a fucking book if I intend to play a game? <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> Oh, I agree. Nevertheless, a prequel is coming. It's reasonable, if the argument is made, that by eliminating the backstory and focusing on the game main story arc, char development, romance , dialogue, banter, side quests, politics, foes, "freedom", "sense of choices", Loyalty missions, colony development and exploration makes for a better game. Answering ardent fan questions is better left to a prequel novel. Certainly, the new casual players won't give a flying f**k about how or why they got there.

Well... Meh. They could very easily say that in around 300 years, the krogan's bodies will have adapted past the genophage. The salarians might think that they're bright, but not as bright as evolution. So the krogans can either come with us and hopefully by the time we get there, the genophage will have ended (or just about ended). As for it being a female version of the armor, I really don't think so. I just think that BW decided to make the armor more streamlined. I do recall some of the dialog about the genophage having to be rephased in so Krogan's bodies wouldn't adapt completely away from it. While it would require for Krogans to be awake during the travel to Andromeda to breed-away the affliction, it would happen eventually. But what happened to "Stay a while and listen."? *buzzer* Wrong game company.

An old theory I failed to mention: I think we'll start out with the same weaponry that was in the trilogy barring Mass Effect 3. The weapons we've seen in the trailers look to be weapons from those games. Additionally, the crews has supposedly been in cryogenic suspension so there wouldn't be time to develop new weapon technology.
I do think we'll get new additions to the arsenal like alien weaponry.

In the 4k Tech video, a voice that sounds like the asari says: "Wauw, I was really just scratching the surface." when a bridge forms as the protagonist moves across a chasm. This seems to suggest that she's been looking at this place.
Here's holding to my theory that she's a tomb robber or such and not a repeat of Liara's archaeologist.
Interestingly, it sounds like the robot-like creatures we see are referred to as remnant: "Another remnant right in our way." and "More remnant."
It should be noted that in the case of the latter, there seemed to be multiple robots floating by which suggest that it is remnant, not remnants. This may be me mishearing it, however.
While approaching the control panel where the cutscene occurs, it sounds like this is said by a male voice that does not belong to the player character; "All conduits converge here, Pathfinder". This may be the player character's rank or occupation. It is also possible that it is given to the player character by someone possibly someone of the Andromeda Galaxy. If we go by the theory that the omni-tool now speaks then it is likely the former.
Pathfinder is a term and nickname that exist in the real world and may have been used as inspiration. Information can be found here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pathfinder

This seems to suggest that she's been looking at this place. Or more like remnants in general. Perhaps it's thanks to her Ryder can use omnitool to interact with those panels. Also the cutscene seems to be edited. I don't believe there is no talk about why and what for they push unknown buttons in a place full of dangerous robots. "Well, that's back online so we should be good" Whether this Vault caused some trouble in dormant state or they run into it from someone. Or they had something bigger which needs Vaults to function. Hmph.

My theory is that the asari is a tomb robber or some other kind of unlicensed acquirer of illegal items. Possibly she's a freelancer of some kind. She does not seem to be dressed like a scientist and making her an archaeologist or similar seems like it'd be too much a repeat of Liara.

I have a theory about the ME:A Initiation novel. It's been confirmed that the N7 character is the father of both brother and sister Ryder. My guess, just instinctual, is that the novel is the story how DadRyder became an N7 officer and was selected for this "Ark" or "Pathfinder" project. Given the likely timing of the Pathfinder project (between ME2 and ME3) DadRyder is older and could be an N7 Training Officer, someone who ran the N7 school. Maybe even a friend of Admiral Anderson. Someone of that stature would easily be a top choice for running the "Pathfinder" Project. There is a dearth of information about what the N7 program is really like, other than Wikipedia. This could also be an opportunity for Shepard or other original trilogy characters to make a cameo (very, very not likely).

I just wanted to say that I support the synth theory for the "male" squadmate showed on the trailer. For the female squaddie we can see pretty clearly her face inside the helmet. This one though... has glow eyes. Actually, guys doesn't he have a bit of a Quarian vibe? Look at Reegar here: Just a thought.

To put it brief; if Ryder has been a part of the N program then Ryder would be the exact opposite of green. N1 is perhaps the only instance where I buy that they could still be considered green. This is not to say, of course, that Ryder could not achieve training similar or exact to the N program over the course of the game.
Actually, to even be considered for the N program training you would have to have already been battle tested and recognized as a cut above the rest. You cannot simply apply for it. All candidates are hand picked. There is nothing green about the N program.

What does CSI:BSN make of any UI? The screen seemed very 'clean'... <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> True and it is deliberate. Bio mentioned they removed the Dialogue and other scenes to show only the pretty pixels. What we see is just the cut scenes from that game play. Normally actual game footage would show a GUI, Ryder and two squad mates. Here we see four = pre-rendered cut scene.
