I'm teetering on the edge of stopping altogether with the same feeling as OP. I started feeling like the SP (on Elaaden currently) was just a repetitive chore, and once the gameplay stopped being novel I discovered the horrible truth that (for me) the characters and story just aren't all that compelling. I picked up Bulletstorm (I know I KNOW) on sale and burned through its admittedly repetitive campaign and enjoyed myself immensely. Then I looked at MEA and reinstalled The Witcher 3 (which I never finished before a HDD failure) and thought about how damned compelling even an insubstantial sidequest in that game was. Then I started replaying LOZ Wind Waker (because I will likely never play BOTW) and marvelled at how tight the whole package is, from gameplay design to character art (Link's paint-on, cartoon expressions are somehow so much more alive than anything in MEA's faces). Even the story is more compelling than MEA. I picked up on Elaaden and did the 3rd monolith sudoku thing and the samey vault with some rudimentary puzzle solving and blew up some more remnant, then quit again. I'm trying really hard to not give up entirely, but even a 15-year old (classic, admittedly) game, that I've already played through, is so much more compelling to play right now. +1, I will go back to Witcher 3. But for MEA I will not return until everything is fixed, like the Nexus bug, and see if I can try to pull the strenght to play this game again.

I finished my first play through at around 100 hours, nearly level 70, and 98% completion. I started my 2nd play through immediately after I finished the first...got the first base...then stopped. I realized, there's no reason to play anymore. Unlike the original trilogy, I can't make any dialog choices that will change how Ryder reacts, it'll always be positive (basically Paragon), and the characters just aren't all that good, not enough to make me want to spend another 40+hours with them. I certainly do not want to waste more time on the boring side quests just to raise the planet's viability...again; Once was enough, thank you very much.
I thought I'd want to play to make different decisions when it came to major choices, but MEA lacks the replayability (dialog choices that mean nothing, decisions that don't seem to affect the game in any meaningful way, lackluster squadmates) that MET had. I haven't played it since the beginning of the month. Without a massive overhaul of...well the entire thing, I don't think I'll play it again. To get the other story decisions, I'll just use a save game editor and save myself the headache.

Maybe about 40 hours in, I decided that I was just going through the motions of the game and decided to take a break and I haven't gotten back to it in about 3 weeks. I don't know, it just feels so much like boring chores and characters I cannot care less about that I've lost all motivation to play the game. Has anyone else got the same feeling? I felt the same,They had to invest a little bit more in this game, both in terms of characters development and quality animations,it had some good moments, but the folk at Bioware, seem to not care enough to finish their products before to release them.

I've done two plays of MEA and geared for a third when its more patched and stable. But it's not going to be fun and i am not looking foward to doing it but the romance achievement and rank 6 achievement.😧 MET though still has replayability to do this day. Only things i missed from MEA was combat , graphics (not it's fault) and my rem tech suit.

Only things i missed from MEA was combat , graphics (not it's fault) and my rem tech suit. I played ME 1/2/3 back to back before MEA came out (only had to wait 2 weeks from the end of ME3 and MEA). Maybe that's partially why I feel the way I do. Especially since this playthrough I had the MEHEM mod, Expanded Galaxy Mod, and ME3 Recalibrated mod for ME3, (oh and individual cooldowns for powers mod), which I had never used before. MEA just feels so lacking in so many ways with little to no replayability.

I'm back to playing again, but i only took a few days off from it, because Veold was just starting to feel like a grind along with some missions on Eos....The planet Kaedra (spel) so far has been filled with side missions that feel a little more interesting than what i experienced earlier in the game...it still feel likes a grind at some points, but quests i've encountered so far, i have been actually wanting to do.... I can't remember the name of the rain forest type planet?...alot of bluish hues/themes...anyway, i liked the visuals of that planet but i hated the design...in terms of traveling the landscape. Too many times i would try to follow my mission marker, only to be blocked by a wall or some misplaced mountain and the location itself would be in some weird obscure location that had me searching in circles for the correct path.... ...that is just annoying game design when you have to in some cases walk to these locations.... One other nit-pick the location of hidden cache crates.....i like the rewards in terms of equipment, but again stop placing these things on top of mountains or structures that run the risk of the character getting stuck "in" the mountain..... ....I had to unrealistically drive the nomad to the very tip of a mountain pop out with the character doing some jittery animation *like he was about to get stuck* then i had to nervously jump around to avoid him actually getting stuck then carefully made my way on the top of the mountain to walk to the crate. It's just one of those aspects that wasn't tested properly...the top of those mountain peaks really aren't made for characters to walk on the top of them as they will seem like they will get stuck.....better placement of these items would have been far better.... Don't want to rant too much as it seems at this point, i'm finally starting to enjoy the game somewhat, at least this planet in particular.

I played up to the part where you get your ship and then stopped. Yeah, I barely gave it a chance, but I have no desire to go back and play when I'm not enthusiastic about it, and at least part of that is because I don't feel like I got to make my own character, the other part is that I hated the prologue and think it's utterly stupid that Ryder is given a leadership role so easily. I mean, my character isn't hideously ugly, but she looks exactly like every other character with that preset, and not like the character I wanted to make. And while some games can pull out better writing more than twenty hours in, I just don't have the motivation to give this game another chance right now.
I genuinely wish I hadn't bought ME:A, and that's sad, considering what a huge fan I used to be of this series.

I finished the game and have a 97% Heleus completion rate. I was about to start another play through and then decided I wanted to replay the ME trilogy. I'll probably come back for DLC, but the single player campaign ranks low on replayability for me. I'm a completionist, so I often complete all side content available before I do the main story mission, and I don't feel driven to redo all of the side content again. Much of it was tedious and unrewarding. I am really interested to see whether the Ryders' mother is brought back and cured in a DLC or if that happens in a potential future title.

Not on Mass Effect Andromeda, but I did quit on Dragon Age: Inquisition. Made a big mistake: I restarted a game after invensting 100 hours or in it for a minor detail I didn't like about it. I really struggled and fought into my second game and made some serious progress, explored some zones I hadn't before, but eventually lost interest. There is just so many missions in so many areas, it feels like drowning in it. Part of the problems was a dragon I just couldn't defeat, even though I already had defeated a dragon before... eventually I got out of the game and the occasional attempt to get back into it didn't work so well. I play on a relatively high difficulty and forgot almost everything, about my equipment, skills and so forth.
In Andromeda itself... well, I played through, 120 hours on the clock, 98% completion of the Heleus Cluster... but even though I started another at the moment motivation is a bit lacking. Tried a bit multiplayer, but that at best a way to keep your combat skills in shape, hardly enjoyable per se. I just don't want to go through all this again. The combat is fine, but the stuff around it bores the hell out of me.
However, on my first game I was completely captivated by it, and enjoyed playing MEA. There were moments when the sheer mass of missions i had got a little overwhelming, but I got it sorted, one planet at a time.
