What were your favourite romances? For DAO, it's hard for me to say, but I probably romanced Zevran the most. Being dumped by Alistair the first full play through hurt the most, however. I was avoiding all spoilers and boy was that a punch in the gut. For DA2, I dodged the Anders trap. I wanted to romance Varric, but chest hair or no, he was unavailable. Cullen is also unavailable. That left Fenris of the oh-so-sexy voice. Shocking confession: I have never finished DAI. Gratuitous trolling: I'm not an ME fan. I've never romanced a male; how exactly did you get Alistair to dump you? Anyhow.... DAO - Leliana, I can't resist those pouty lips. (Why did they have to ruin her look in the later games?) DA2 - Toss-up between Merrill and Isabella. Both very well written romances. Inquisition - Josephine, even though it was a "Rated G" romance; still very charming. The Cassandra romance was very well-written, but I couldn't get over the hair; it made her look too much like an effeminate guy. The Sera romance can be fun so long as your not a female Dalish elf. I haven't finished a playthrough of ME yet. I'm not fond of the look of the game.

It's pretty much inevitable.

He can marry a human noble, but a mage, dwarf, and especially an elf not so much. You definitely miss out on some of the DA games great depth by not experimenting more.

I almost always make him king so I didn't remember the part about him remaining a warden.

DAO: Zevran. The very first time I played Origins I was romancing Alistair but promptly (maybe a little heartlessly...) dumped him after meeting Zevran, and I have a hard time romancing anyone else, I always go back to him, because, well, Zevran! DA2: Always toss up between Fenris and Anders, can never really decide. Anders is very sweet in the beginning and deteriorates towards being insufferable towards the end, whereas Fenris is a bit prickly and unrewarding until Act 3, then he becomes VERY rewarding. Why can't I have both, or be allowed to dump Anders in Act 3 for Fenris? DAI: I usually romance Iron Bull (because dwarf lady) but my favourite is Solas, easily. I just wish he wasn't race-gated. + ME: Garrus!

I don't know, I haven't gotten that far with my Warden-Alistair romances...

Dumb question: if you leave him as a Warden, where is he during Awakening? I think it's "implied" by the powers that be that he's off doing warden stuff elsewhere, since I don't think this path of his romance offers a letter explaining his absence like Zevran and Leliana. Bit of a cheap cop out but I guess they didn't want to use the resources to implement him as a companion in Awakening because many other people would've made him king, or killed him off, or exiled him.

Dumb question: if you leave him as a Warden, where is he during Awakening? Not a dumb question. It's not really addressed in Awakening, but in Inquisition, Alistair will mention that he was off killing darkspawn while the warden was recruiting for the Fereldan wardens.

If you make Alistair king, he at least makes a cameo appearance in Awakening. So I was wondering if you leave Alistair a warden (something I've never done), does he become a possible companion in Awakening? I didn't think so, but I wanted to make sure. I suppose Bioware figured hiring the voice actor for Awakening wasn't worth it since most players would make him king in Origins.

DAO: Zevran. I liked Alistair too, but he never works for me as a romance. I mostly play elves, and I prefer Alistair as the king. I don't want to get dumped and I don't want to be a mistress, so I've only really romanced him on my human noble playthrough.
DA2: Anders! My first Hawke was actually shaped a bit around the Anders romance. I had a lot of fun roleplaying that particular character.
DAI: Solas is the only one I've played all the way through, but I love it and it will be canon. I did download the multi romance mod and tried a bit of Cullen and Bull because I'm only intending one playthrough. Bull is fun and Cullen was really sweet, but a Solas romance just fits so well with my character and the plot.
ME1: Garrus. Yes, he's not a romance...but still, Garrus! Haha, I usually just romance Kaidan in this one and then roleplay my character as dumping him after Horizon and going to Garrus. ME2: Doesn't need to be said, but...Garrus ME3: Still Garrus. Tried to play through ME3 with a Liara romance. Ended up going after Garrus again.
Overall favorite: NPC #5...no, just kidding. Garrus.

It's the same reason I've never been able to force poor Alistair into marrying her. Plus, my elf Wardens usually reason that Alistair would be better towards the elves if he was king than Anora would. And considering what we know about Inquisition now...it would be extremely hard for me to ever put Alistair as a Warden.

I think making a hideous, aggressive single Hawke do it. It's not hard to kill a PC you've never played before .

Dragon Age Origins:- Leliana.
Dragon Age 2:- Merrill.
Dragon Age Inquisiton:- Josephine Montilyet.
Mass Effect Trilogy:- Tali'Zorah.
Elder Scrolls Skyrim:- Brelyna Maryon.
The Witcher Trilogy:- Triss Merigold.
These are my favorite romances. In terms of DA games as a whole, I would have to go with Merrill.

DAO: Have done Morrigan and Zevran, and prefer Zevran
DA2: Have only done Fenris so far, so he's the favorite by default. I intend to try Isabela too, at some point.
DAI: Have done Dorian and Cullen, and prefer Dorian. I intend to try Bull and Cassandra at some point.
Witcher 3: I'm not that far in, but so far he has been faithful to Yennefer. That may change as I go or as I learn more about their history, though.
Skyrim: I'm way too busy running around stealing produce from farmers, stealing random shit from villagers, spending nights in jail, and ultimately committing suicide by guard to bother with a romance.

Do you play all these games togheter? Nah, I don't have that many hands I guess what you mean is whether I've got all these games going on at once? In that case, yes...kind of? I alternate games depending on my mood. I'm currently spending most of my time on a DA2 rogue playthrough, but I go back to W3 every so often in small doses, and have also started Assassin's Creed Syndicate (but as far as I know, that has no romance...I'm loving the sibling relationship, though). The only problem I have with going back and forth between games is that I have to re-adjust my muscle memory to the controls every time. I haven't played Skyrim in at least a month, so that may not count anymore. I know it's super popular, but I feel "meh" about it. It's just "open world" enough for my brain to think it's The Sims 3: Medieval Edition, so I end up doing goofy shit instead of getting anything accomplished.

Edit: Hahaha! I already posted in this thread. I'm really bad at remembering which one is which. It helps that I've seen so many versions of this thread over the years. And it's always fun.
Oh well. Just let me reiterate that Howe is the best romance that never was.
Garrus is the best romance that actually is.
Sebastian is the hottest.
