I thought I'd answered this but I guess I haven't? It's hard to pick when I haven't done them all. We're including non DA games? FF7: I preferred Aeris with Cloud. Even if supposedly, non mentally screwed up Cloud would have gone with childhood friend Tifa. Harvestmoon 64: Maria. DAT BRAID. Those nerdy glasses. And if you don't romance her, she ends up with a friggen mailman. SAVE HER. Karen is easy because of the dog glitch, so 3rd fave., and Ann is my 2nd fave. She's so energetic. Skyrim: The nice werewolf brother, not the grumpy one. Although the game mechanics for romance in this game are pretty lite. I never took him anywhere as a companion because I was concerned he'd die and leave my two adopted children. I loved Skyrim hardcore for a month, but didn't like the main story quests, was mad I couldn't kill the one Biotch I actually wanted to kill, and wanted to have an argument with my husband about being a vampire. ya know, deeper dialogue things than can't be had. ME1: Kaidan for lack of choices. And I quit playing after I got Liara. I am not much of a Space Soldier. I think I've looked at ME2, didn't like any of them. ME3, I might be a lesbian and go with the sex robot. Or KAidan again. But then I'd have to play a space soldier. DAO: Alistair and Zevran are about even for me. Prefer Morrigan as a friend, and Lel is a bit creepy. DA2: FENRIS. Anders is also good. I think I'll enjoy Isabella. I can't sexualize Merril at all but I'll do it at least once. DAI: Cullen. I really appreciate all the extra hug scenes you get because he's your advisor. I've also played Blackwall turned Thom and that was satisfying. I will never romance Iron Bull, his BDSM convo gives me the heebie jeebies cuz I'll never sub to anyone. I suspect Dorian, Sera, and Cassandra will also be satisfying when I get to them. I can head cannon an enjoyable Solasmance for a Quiz, but do I favorite him as a player? Nope.

ME3, I might be a lesbian and go with the sex robot. If you mean EDI, it would take some serious modding to get her away from Joker. I looked into it, and apparently I was talking about Miranda. Apparently my memory registered "perfect woman" as "robot." Apparently she's straight, but I'm sure there's a mod for that, if I cared to play ME3 enough to grow attached enough to want to. I've actually watched Garrus's romance online and liked it. If only he wasn't a super ugly alien in a giant spacesuit in the cuddle scenes. I could almost handle the super ugly alien bit, but the fact Shephard can't cuddle him without his giant space suit is a lady-boner killer for me.

And, of course, she's being romanced by my female elf mage! She's easily my favorite romance in all three of the DA games! Something about a woman with an exotic accent...

But making NPC faces in the toolset is very easy (and fun), not much different to making your warden in the CC, only you have more options. Then you just save it as the NPC you want it to be. Nearly all my previous wardens (there have been many) have ended up replacing NPC's If your interested, I'll post simple instructions.

She was neat in Masked Empire; sadly underutilized in DAI. Thanks. It would be cool to give character modding a try.

What were your favourite romances? For DAO, it's hard for me to say, but I probably romanced Zevran the most. Being dumped by Alistair the first full play through hurt the most, however. I was avoiding all spoilers and boy was that a punch in the gut. For DA2, I dodged the Anders trap. I wanted to romance Varric, but chest hair or no, he was unavailable. Cullen is also unavailable. That left Fenris of the oh-so-sexy voice. Shocking confession: I have never finished DAI. Gratuitous trolling: I'm not an ME fan. DA:O Leliana was the only woman my Grey Wardens wanted (and Iona as well in the Human Noble origin), and I only romanced the LIs to unlock to win the achievements/trophies for romancing them. DA2 Isabella and Merrill I tended to lean more towards to Isabella because I liked her whole "bad girl with a heart of gold" character arc, but I also liked most of Merrill's naivete (although at times she comes off as more stupid than naive) both had their charms. DA:I Josephine and Sera Again these are the kind of women that I find sexy.

I only played DAO with an Alistair romance but overall Dorian was my favourite. WAS. Because now I romanced Zevran in DAO and he's just so adorable and his romance is so cute. It also made me feel annoyed about Dorian, who's so worried about what his father dearest thinks about him and how people in his homeland look at homosexuality. All people he dislikes, yet he worries so much about their opinions. And Zevran is just so... free! It's kind of a relief after Dorian's romance.
So overall new favourite romance: Zevran!

DAO: Zevran - by far my favorite romance from all DA games. DA2: I used to romance Anders, because despite his horrific act at the end, I really like him. Tried Isabella recently and loved it, because she is actually very easygoing with less drama than the other choices. I'm now in the middle of the Fenris romance and he did surprise me too. I even play a mage Hawke and he is easypeasy to romance and much less drama than I thought. So it's a tie between those three (I will neverever romance Merrill, she is creepy as hell, or Sebastian, he is boring) DAI: SO far, I finished the Blackwall romance, which I liked a lot. I think, I will try Iron Bull with my elven mage lady - those two are both funny and easy going, so it would fit (since Varric is still not available). Romanced Cullen with my human mage lady, but he is a bit ... dull. So by default it's Blackwall at the moment, but I have really high hopes for Iron Bull

DAO: Alistair because 1) he was very witty, very funny 2) had dwarf-specific lines, which I really appreciated. It's great to feel validated for the race you choose to play and have this acknowledged by the love interest.
DA2: Fenris was great for the dramatic passion (*swoon*), but in hindsight, I remember and appreciate Isabela's romance the most. Due to story events, their relationship was seriously tested and there was the moment of deciding if one was worth fighting for. And once the answer is yes, the lovers are all in, they know the stakes, they're going to go the distance for each other. So I really liked that.
DAI: Blackwall for the same reasons as above -- 1) dialogue acknowledged the racial differences and 2) very similar to Isabela's path with the relationship reaching a breaking point and becoming that much stronger when the protagonist decides that it's worth fighting for despite the high cost.
For what it's worth, the Alistair relationship did get tested at Landsmeet and I lost him for it. I always was sorry that there wasn't a chance to circle back around to their story similar to how the Kaidan/Shepard were able to do in the trilogy. (Alistair rejoined the Wardens, but far away from the original Wardens so paths do not cross again. *sniff*)

Easy for me!
Dragon Age: Origins -- Alistair. Why? Because he's literally the only character I f*cking romanced. I tried romancing Zevran, but nope. Alistair's quirkiness always took the cake and led me astray.
Dragon Age: 2 -- Fenris. Why? Well, playing as a female Mage and romancing him made for a really interesting dynamic, furthermore his quick wit and brooding were hilarious and he was totally open to flirting with Hawke from the very start. So quck to flatter and so easy to return the favor.
Dragon Age: Inquistion -- Oh boy, this one is tough because I loved both Cullen and Solas. (marked as spoiler because you said you haven't completed it yet!)
Cullen is the romance that most girls dream of having in real life, all the way from the perfect beginning to the perfect end. He was a loving, tender man with a rough past. Knowing him from the previous two games, as well, added to my interest when it came to him. Since DA:2 I had wanted to see where a romance would go. It went really super well, it was satisfying in Trespasser since you are given the option to marry him, and he meets a mabari (awww)! Throughout all of the cut-scenes it is so obvious how much the Inquisitor means to him. He will never let her go for as long as he lives. With the hugs and tender moments, the little discrete ' please be careful' talks. Oh, man. Now as for Solas, the character who built me up only to tear me down! His romance was incredible while it lasted. His biggest fear is dying alone, and that killed my heart to see that. Because knowing how things go after he breaks up with the Inquisitor, he will probably die alone because the Inquisitor was the woman who won his heart, but he had to break hers in order to fix his mistakes. His affection for the Inquisitor, though seldom seen outside of the romance cut-scenes, was really sweet and gentle. His nickname for her "my heart" is adorabubble! It showed you just how much the Inquisitor meant to him. Solas is a hand-holder, which probably means he's the cuddling type, and the thought of that alone makes me happy. I'm anxious to complete the Trespasser DLC on my female elf (romancing Solas) because I want to see how things go, since I've unfortunately seen a few spoilers, I know they won't rekindle the flame of their relationship. Although, since it was a good, sweet and heartfelt ending between my human inquisitor (who romanced Cullen + friendship, 100% approval), I wonder how it'll go for an Inquisitor who romanced him. I will have to say both are my favorite for this one. Cullen, because his romance didn't make me cry for a freaking day, at least, and it was more fulfilling/satisfying and happy. I just wish he was a more laid-back and humorous character. I wish they both were. But that's obviously reserved for Bull and Sera. Solas, because his romance was more intense. Had me on the edge of my seat for every cut-scene, and the rest of the cut-scenes to come throughout the rest of this play-through (Trespasser DLC). He's also sort of the romantic sort!
I NEED MORE CHARACTERS LIKE THESE ASAP!

There are so many good romances across DA and ME but I'd have to go for: DA:O - Zevran - I loved the whole I tried to murder you but now I love you thing DA2 - I didn't really like any companions in DA2 but I went with Fenris, because, that voice! DA:I - Dorian all the way, my second favourite BW romance ME1 - Liara because I hate Ashley and couldn't romance Kaidan yet, Ashley has only every survived in one of my playthroughs! ME2 - Tali - It was sweet ME3 - Kaidan, after years of waiting I could finally romance him

My favorite romantic relationships were:
ME2/3: Thane Kotor2: Bao Dur SWTOR: Numen Brok, Ashara, Vette and Elara
In DA:O I liked both Alistair & Zevran well enough, but did not really think about it in superlative terms, though I think if I got a different ending with Alistair, wher he'd sacrifice himself, I'd liked it more. The soap opera in the end where I was trying to pimp Alistair first to Anora and then to Morrigan, without drama on his part, and the promise of the whirlwind illicit relationship messed up what I wanted it to become.
Am yet to play DA2, and I did not like official romances in other games.

DA: Zevran, Fenris, and Sera. (Honorable mentions: Isabela, Bull, Dorian.) ME: Garrus... just Garrus. If we're including other Bioware games... BGII: Dorn for my evil characters, Viconia for my slightly less evil characters. The goodies are stuck with Anomen. NWN: Aribeth for the vanilla game, Valen for HotU. I liked Nathyrra, too. NWN2: Isn't technically Bioware but sshhhh. I like to go for Bishop in the vanilla game and then end up with Gann by MotB. I'm madly in love with Safiya and I wish that she was bisexual as the writers intended so I could romance her with a female PC, but alas.
