Came back to this since you wanted to make a point of it, but I think I already answered it above. These characters aren't real, or even realistic. What we would consider impractical doesn't apply to a character like Geralt or Ciri, or Yen. Their abilities and physical attributes so far surpass ours that something that would be impossible or even just less than optimal for us they wouldn't even notice. Ciri could run, move, jump, flip, and fight better in stiletto heels than a real olympic athlete would in sneakers. For someone with those kind of super human abilities would she even notice much of a difference between flat boot and that small heel? Maybe she just likes the way they look. I'm not seeing any inconsistency with the rules of their physical world and their chosen attires. I thought that we should have had the choice of putting all the squadmates in the trilogy in armor for combat missions. That to me made more sense. Of course you could say that biotics don't make sense so why should that? Personal preference I guess. I wouldn't have minded that. Yeah we got biotics but aside from Shepard being a zombie cyborg the rest of the human crew are just regular humans. I thought they should have at least covered exposed skin when going into hazardous areas but the only one that was really cringe worthy was Jack in her leather strap outfit. I thought Miranda for instance would have been fine if she had zipped up and put a helmet on.

They could have wrote the story so that you end up collaborating with Cerberus without having to kill Shepard. That was poor. I always thought Miranda looked a little trashy, maybe more so in the white suit than the black one. It looked about 2 sizes too small. I'm surprised it didn't have a hole or two in it. The suit that Samara had didn't seem to fit the character well to me. It felt out of place. Did it seem to fit her character to you? I get they wanted to show off Jack's tats, but come on... Of course I never thought it made much sense that she would ever go to work for Cerberus after what they did to her anyway. I like her character, it just didn't make sense to me.

I always thought Miranda looked a little trashy, maybe more so in the white suit than the black one. It looked about 2 sizes too small. I'm surprised it didn't have a hole or two in it. Agreed. But that might be because I just in general didn't like Miranda. The suit that Samara had didn't seem to fit the character well to me. It felt out of place. Did it seem to fit her character to you? Not really, I think Samara was really a case of the dudebro's wanting to show some cleavage. Samara doesn't strike me as the type to care about flaunting her sexuality. Would have been fine for Morinth though who ended up in the more conservative outfit oddly enough. I get they wanted to show off Jack's tats, but come on... Of course I never thought it made much sense that she would ever go to work for Cerberus after what they did to her anyway. I like her character, it just didn't make sense to me. This one is definitely a case where she should have had different on-ship and off-ship outfit. Agree with Kaiser I would have liked to have seen how Jack personalized her armor.

I don't mind her outfit, but I do agree she should have had some kind of suit with a helmet when they are in oxygenless environments. That is a common problem of this franchise though and not exclusive to Miranda.

Bah, screw all you prudes revolting at the audacity of a female video game character wearing high heels, and how dare she leave those elbows uncovered! I'm off to play a round of Lollipop Chainsaw while I thumb my nose at your sense of realism! But I don't think a cheerleader skirt would interfere with wielding a chainsaw?

It's funny seeing the high heel debate come up here when it went on for pages on the CDPR forum. The real reason is simple: artistic license. The shoes may be riding shoes but they're not the least bit practical for a sword fighter. I personally think they're a bit silly and they should have also made Ciri a Witcher outfit when she got to Kher Morhen. It's like Triss' hair. People bitched in every game it was too red, and CDPR just made it redder and redder till she looks like a flame head in TW3. Thank you, my argument exactly.

She's the Lady of Space and Time. She doesn't rely on horses in the books or in the game. The person who has a horse gimmick is Geralt - who names his horses Roach. Your spin-doctor treatment is weak. Ciri has a horse named Kelpie in the novels she uses to get around. Even though she technically doesn't need one. Ciri is mimicking Geralt in many ways, wanting to be a witcher herself. None of this is of any relevance though. The boot discussion is stupid. Just enjoy the game, people. Wanting to look at pretty people in pretty clothes is not a crime. We all do. And that was my point, I didn't want to get dragged into this debate at all.

Uhm, isn't anything open game, pardon the pun, when it comes to discussion around a game? If i get caught in a ME:A thread and i say "Just enjoy the game people" i will get flamed into Oblivion. I think Ciri's outfit looks ridiculous, and while i think its fine when she is on the run, the insistence on having her wear throughout the entire game is stupid. I made this statement in the context of people who all enjoyed the game, suddenly getting worked up over something as silly as Ciri's boots. I haven't read a single person disliking MEA based on an NPC outfit. Were Miranda's high heels stupid in combat or Jack half naked in space? Yup. Did this have an influence on the quality of the game? Nope. What people don't like about MEA has nothing to do with nitpicking an outfit. Nor did I mean to tell people who don't like W3 based on the setting or characters to just ignore that. I will say that it annoys me on a personal level that these days people have a problem with the most minor stuff in games. Which is exactly why developers don't know what to put in their games anymore. Everything is sexist or otherwise offensive. I'm not referring to your comment. I mean in general. I hope you understand that is the exact opposite of what I was saying, and I agree with you entirely.

Agreed. But that might be because I just in general didn't like Miranda. This one is definitely a case where she should have had different on-ship and off-ship outfit. Agree with Kaiser I would have liked to have seen how Jack personalized her armor. How about that Miranda "romance" scene, was that some terrific artwork or what? How about Jack's? The best I recall, she started crying and then they went to bed. It made Shepard look like some dirty old man.

I always thought Miranda looked a little trashy, maybe more so in the white suit than the black one. It looked about 2 sizes too small. I'm surprised it didn't have a hole or two in it. I think she was supposed to look "trashy" because she was genetically designed accrording to the wishes of an egomaniacal sociopath who wish her to use her every advantage in his favor. She is basically the Jessica Rabbit of the MET. *snip pic* I get what you're saying, but trashy? I don't know. Sexy, yes, that seems to make more sense to me.

This is BioWare. What EA did to the game isn't on Bioware, it's what happened after. Anyway, the video where the Sith (EA) tells the Jedis that what they've been doing is all wrong. They've been deceived. It's how I see it.

So without going into any TW3 spoilers unless you tag them, please, how were the choices and consequences at impacting the world? Even better than what we got from TW2?

It has similar impact, especially for a game of that size. But it's not pulled off with the same panache TW2 did. They had a much bigger task ahead of them and they had to move the lead writer of TW2 to Cyberpunk. So there are some major plot holes and character fuck ups in TW3.

I suspect that a lot of people have always resented the overt objectification of females in media. And some people are simply tired of the way people are judged (women valued for their looks, men for their wallets) and think it's a crappy social system in serious need of re-evaluation and possibly evolution. But you illustrate the reason why few ever speak up. They're written off as religious wackos, prudes, and/or called insecure. I suspect that that those are exactly the reasons why few speak up. Modern women are confident and intelligent enough to see those fantastical arts for what they are, a fantasy and no relation at all in their every day lives. To this day I hoped that the armour the night elf druid in the on the original trailer is wearing is something we could put on in the game. It fits the fantasy world it belonged to. I'd have a picture but its difficult to do on the phone.
