I forgot to add a line at the bottom: "That was a joke." Joke or not, he wouldn't of left the battle. It still doesn't explain why the quarians are not seen with the other ships flying by the damaged relay, if they survived Rannoch

If all 6 squadmates are recruited, why can't two of them go get Ashley/Kaidan and have Shepard go back to Ashley/Kaidan? If less than 6 have been recruited, why not send the two guys guarding the doors on the Normandy?

I posted this in the virmire thread allready, but it really didn't make any sense for Shepard and the Salarians to go about planting a huge thermonuclear explosive in Saren's Base as the Normandy could have destroyed the Breeding facilities after the AA guns were disabled. Shepard's team could have then focussed on destroying all of Saren's and Droyas' Research.

Yeah, This becomes all the more obvious that at some point in development it was possible to save both Ashley and Kaiden, presumably only if Shepard screwed up he would have to leave one behind. But then the devs decided that it would be cool to sacrifice a squadmate so they wrote in an awkward binary choice.

I hope they don't make a Cora vs. Liam choice in MEA. Unless Andromeda is going to be what The Force Awakens was to Star wars, I don't think Bioware will repeat any major plot from the previous games.

Joker was hovering over the battlefield the whole time, totally not helping with the fight and darting out of the way of the Reaper beams, miraculously not crashing, just so he could come get them silly!

You know what? Maybe the Normandy's stealth systems allowed it to hover in front of the reaper, but *firing* or taking shots would then alert the reaper to its presence. So it could swoop in and pick up people, but just not take any shots. Also, you might ask why it didn't just stealthily drop people close up to the reaper. Well, maybe the reaper would also be alerted to its presence when all the people disembarked, or something. And they didn't want to risk it that close. Idk.

I think the extraction would have worked if it was a shuttle instead of the Normandy.
Unfortunately Steve potentially crashed and died, so that's probably why the devs used the Normandy. While maybe it was a little odd to have the Normandy come in to medevac wounded, I did enjoy the farewell scene you get with one of the two squadmates.
I think the devs were on the right track in having there be a casualty on Virmire as well, whether or not the way it was executed made sense. Virmire was one of the high points of the first game.

I think the extraction would have worked if it was a shuttle instead of the Normandy. Yep. I will explain below I don't agree. The Normandy has 2 shuttles. Steve uses one to transport Shepard and squad to London. The other one is used to transport the rest of the squad to the fob. If Shepard talks with Steve, Steve will only be injured in London. He ends up crash landing the shuttle in an area free of the reapers and uglies, and is close to where the fob is. Steve is able to get there without encountering any of the uglies. Shepard will have a goodbye with Steve. From the fob, Steve and others are able to see Harbinger land and fire its beams of doom. Once the reaper flies away, Steve gets the other squadmates in the other shuttle and heads to the beam to see if anyone is still alive. When Harbinger fires his beam of doom at Shepard, it sends both squadmates back away from Shepard. Both suffer injuries. Shepard gets up and sees no one. Believing both squadmates are dead, she/he heads to the beam. While Shepard is dealing with the three husks and maruader, Steve flies in with the shuttle. Both squadmates are seen making their way to the shuttle. As the squadmates get in the shuttle, one looks back to see Shepard going up the beam and Anderson a second later. What that does is it gives confirmation that 2 people made up the beam instead of hearing that no one made it even though Hackett gets a report that someone made it. It also explains how Steve gets back on the Normandy. The way it is now, I like for Bioware to explain how he ended up back on the Normandy. If Steve dies, the same thing from above happens except its the guy who flew the 2nd shuttle that picks up the 2 squadmates. If ems is low enough for both squadmates to be killed, the shuttle still makes an appearance, but leaves a moment later. At that point, the shuttle pilot could say he saw Shepard and Anderson go up the beam. It wasn't odd. It was stupid There was no need for it since they had a farewell a short time ago. If the player chooses the top right dialogue, Shepard will say, "I need to know somebody's getting out of this alive." What? You don't stop the reapers, nobody is going to be left alive. And if Harbinger didn't a have a timeout, he would've fired at the Normandy killing everyone in the area. If the bottom right dialogue is chosen, Shepard says, " You're in no shape to continue. Get to the medbay." Why can't Shepard use medigel? Hold up. That make's sense. Ok. So add that to this thread. Throughout the trilogy, Shepard is able to use medigel for a squadmate that has "fallen". Another thing is with the squadmates injured, why not send two others, if all have been recruited?

The VI on Jarrahe Station requests you leave the ship. However, if you go to the airlock door it's locked by the VI. It must not really want you to leave.

Saren's appearance.
Saren looks like a Reaperfied cyborg from the first moment you meet him, despite the free makeover from Sovereign not occurring until after Virmire. Instead Saren should have looked like a normal Turian through most of the game, with the Reaperfied character model saved for Ilos and the Battle of the Citadel.

Again, I don't know if this was the case. I only think I remember reading somewhere about it. If I did, the information was probably either from the concept art posted by one of the developers on his blog or information from the Art of Mass Effect book.

Yes, I think Saren's appearance was originally going to be the "upgraded" version when you have your final showdown at the Citadel. But resources prevented him from having multiple looks.

During the suicide mission, Shepard assigns a squadmate for whatever. If the squadmate know they aren't qualified for that assignment, why don't they speak up saying they won't do it or it would be best to have someone else do the task? When assigning Garrus to the vent, he will say, "I'll do my best Shepard". He knows he's not qualified for that. Why wouldn't he say, "Shepard. You have a tech standing right there who would be better for the task". Or better yet, have one who is qualified speak up saying they will do the task.
Steve dealing with the airborne hostiles. Why? The shuttle can't maneuver as easily as a fighter. And as slow as he was flying, he made himself an easy target. The heads up was enough. If the uglies start attacking from the air, Shepard and squad take cover while firing back. Steve, during his holobye, even admits it wasn't his finest moment. Had he been flying his Trident, things may have been different.

Well, Miranda did say "any biotic" could do the bubble and she was obviously wrong, so having them speak up wouldn't necessarily mean they were right.

Doesn't Jacob volunteer for something on the SM that he's not qualified for? I feel like he dies if he does it. But haven't played the SM often enough to be sure.

I hope they don't make a Cora vs. Liam choice in MEA. Unless Andromeda is going to be what The Force Awakens was to Star wars, I don't think Bioware will repeat any major plot from the previous games. Don't rule that out. BioWare got almost as much flak for the ending as Lucas got for the prequels. They're playing it very safe at the moment, trying to evoke images of ME1, not later games. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they plagarize themselves one bit.
