I just watched the 15 minute IGN video in its entirety, and all I can say is "I'm sold." At least from a gameplay stand point, I'm glad I made my pre-order for the Legion of Dawn Edition the other day. That gameplay was incredible. As fun as it was to watch...I can see myself having even more fun when I'm the one actually engaged in it. Wow. Now I really can't wait for the Demo on January 25th...

OMG that was awesome, i must say Bioware you guys have a potential GOTY on your hands. i just love the sound of the game, and the environment is so active. I saw couple of birds flying by during combat. Excellent. I see the person that was using the interceptor got my color scheme i had plan to use. Man, i'm hoping the interceptor get some type of ninja like sword.

(to Rikimaru) I know, right? That game play, the movement, the flight, the gun-play just looked so smooth and fluid, yet action-oriented and fast-paced. ANd you're right about the living environment, that was very cool. You're shooting, flying around, dodging from here to there...all the while exotic birds are flying by, grass and trees are swaying in a breeze. So realistic. From everything I've seen up to and including this new IGN video...the game play just looks down-right fun and I can certainly see where players are going to get hooked on it.

Watched the whole thing. Now I know what the Alpha testers were raving about.
Was going to write more, but this vid really needs it's own thread for discussion, so I'll make one (if one hasn't been made yet).

Lol...there has been so much I've wanted to say about this game, but couldn't.
Is this what the devs feel like all the time? Because, shit.

If you accidentally let something slip, in all probability you'd be fine. If a dev accidentally lets something slip, it can be a discussion point on IGN, Gamespot, Reddit, Twitter, in minutes.

Yeah, I like that segment that the late, great Mr Robin Williams says on his "LIVE on Broadway" DVD "like, okay at NASA, right the first time they were constructing the Mars Lander with all it's oddities and new tech, I'll bet some newb had a lightbulb moment like "Whoops!"
(A collective "WHAT?! What 'whoops'? is echoed from Senior people on the floor)
"Oh, it's probably nothing." he says, "but I just remembered I did all my calculations in feet- but I programmed the Lander in meters. So instead of landing, the f***er buried."
(Yeah, don't do that kind of slip. That would be bad. For you and your job status). Can you imagine that kind of mistake in this day and age with Social Media?

I think I have seen this before, but no, I have my own way of tracking them. And just glancing through it, it looks like I follow more people than the tracker does.
I hope this game does well enough for BW to continue their other IPs but not too well because I don't want them to focus on multiplayer games more than singleplayer.
Seems a catch-22, doesn't it? If Anthem fails, Bioware's probably on the chopping block. If it's a roaring success, it changes most Bioware games from now on (probably for the worse). If it's middling, EA will double down on exploitative monetization and push back and infect DA ME and TOR even further. Nothing the consumer does here benefits Bioware.

It's a pessimistic outlook I don't think is warranted yet. And I'd like to point out that Bioware games have been changing either way throughout the years with no Anthem present to potentially push blame on - some people don't like it and will try to find a culprit, even if there isn't one other than Bioware games evolving together with the studio getting older and more experienced as well as an ebb and flow of the market.
