Why you should use the Heleus Defender armor

Scott ass is also in display, but male ass as usual is made way more flat because game designers only care to model female bubble butt. Scott's is passable but it's certainly no bubble.

I like the Heleus armor when playing on lower difficulties, but when I play on insanity mode, I use the armor, maverick, you posted. The stats are better for my Ryder.

Heleus Defender is a little too bulky for my taste. I would go for N7 armor if I go remove the N7 logo. Ryder isn't N7 and so shouldn't be sporting the logo but the style appeals to me, especially the helmet. I'm currently using Hyperguardian.

Hmm...I completed the orientation but I don't recall getting it.  I wonder if I sold it or broke it down on my first playthrough and it's simply gone for the NG+ I'm on now.  After this run I'll start fresh and see if it pops up.

I'd forgotten about the differences in detail. I strongly prefer the AE helmet, to be honest. I was never a fan of the N7 helmet, nor of Shepard's ME3 armor. I use the N7 kit on my Adept, but I don't like it. It looks much better on Scott, at least, than Sara. I hate the color-placement and boob-sculpting.

I wholeheartedly agree with the need to separate stats and form, at least for crafted armor.

I'm looking forward to finally giving the Pathfinder Armor a try. I've played power-users exclusively through 2.5 PTs. My next game will be a weapons-user, and I'll get a good look at the Pathfinder and Maverick gear. I think those two are possibly the best looking kits. (I wouldn't really know, though!)

If we had more control over our gear's appearance, I'd have replaced the N7 look long ago.

The AE is the only helmet I'll use now. I think it looks really great with the Pathfinder armor. I don't even care about its stats all that much.

Speaking of helmets, I discovered that in NG+, if you have a custom color applied to the last armor you wore, the basic Initiative armor will reflect that. Additionally, in the scene when you finally reach the vault with Alec Ryder, Sara/Scott's helmet will switch to the default color scheme just before the accident.
