They didn't mean evolution in cryo. They meant social evolution upon arriving in Andromeda and having no habitable planets, no resources, no support. Wow.

Am I the only one that thinks Morda's voice just doesn't match-up with the character quite right?

Nah Morda sounds super weird. A lot of the characters do, imo, though.

Did you really just blame feminists for this? Smh. The Krogan's development in Andromeda is a natural evolution that makes sense contextually, especially with birth rates increasing exponentially. 4% is huge. The krogan are less one-dimensional now, how is that a bad thing? This is one of the dumbest posts in the thread and you guys have had some real doozies. You might as well be hugging puppies ans calling them Krogan because their names are Wrex and Morda. You don't evolve over 600 years while youre in cryo stasis numb nuts. Thats not how evolution works. Clearly I meant a natural evolution from a narrative standpoint there buddy, not a literal biological evolution. Relax.

The second is Wrex telling you the story about how he killed his own father for betraying him then left Tuchanka become a mercenary/hitman. Krogan eat danger and wash it down with Ryncol.

They remind me of Klingons. I suspect the writers drew some inspiration from them. Or at least early on in the series anyway.

I like the part where they slap fight. Ugh. That fight needs to be patched, it's a disgrace.

Was it overhauled? 1. We know female warlords existed in the past, it's not unprecedented. 2. Most (all?) of the krogan warriors we meet are male. 3. The work that happened during the trip to ameliorate the genophage means less of an emphasis/need to keep fertile females 'safe.' 3a. They probably don't want to grow so fast they outstrip their resources. Folks are just fishing for justification cuz they're triggered by women in leadership/combat roles... again. I said the ME3 genophage arc was written by a feminist, period, nothing about MEA and feminism. I also think the geth arc was written by an AI fanboy (mac walters, author of synthesis), thus showed the geth as victims and quarians as oppresors, he even admitted as much on twitter. My issue with MEA is how the krogan have been humanized and for all purposes they could be humans in costumes, no breeding requests, rites of passage, shamans (and before you say Drack, his story was back in the milky way), no fertile female protection (or they don't talk about it). The terminals shows how krogan are being encouraged to act like humans, so that's not very promising for future MEA krogan development. As for your points: 1. I know, so? why even bring this? Unless you assume anyone who critices BW somehow is a misogynist 2. Again a non issue. 3. Improving viability to near 4%, from 1%, is not the same as curing the genophage. It doesn't explain why all the rules designed to safeguard fertile females and their offspring have been waived. 4. There were only 2000 krogans in Andromeda, counting all the ones in kadara, so unless the new tuchanka krogan get their act together fast they're pretty much screwed. And for the record, my SJW reference was more a joke than a basis for any argument, by making the MEA krogan act human-like the devs are "sanitizing" them of anything than a modern viewer might find offensive. The only ones "triggered" here are these people who see the word feminist and jump to conclusions and personal attacks.

They've gone to 4% from 0.1%, not 1%. That's 40 times more viable offspring than in the Milky Way, a massive difference.

The terminals shows how krogan are being encouraged to act like humans, so that's not very promising for future MEA krogan development. I guess you missed the shaman quest to lure a fiend for them to use for a rite of unity then, huh? The only real change in MEA is that males and females are no longer in separate clans - a practice they devised to deal with the genophage, and one they no longer feel they need. We saw Wrex in ME2 starting the process of re-organizing krogan society.

I don't really think it's a rewrite, more that the writers are presenting information we were lacking previously. If you really think about it, if Krogan society really worked the way it was mostly portrayed in the MET they would have gone extinct long ago. So I largely like the dynamics presented.
But damn that Morda-Strux fight was cringe-worthy, whoever approved that should be embarrassed. That should have been an epic clash with Morda stomping him into a broken mass with a narrative interrupt to stop her short of killing him or just letting her do so.

Like it has been said above they need to adapt in the whole new galaxy. It also appears the 600 years in stasis made them to develop a mutation against genophage: that can also lead to a change in the social behavior. Genophage was actually the reason most female Krogan were not allowed to go to battle. I remember in the old times both males and females, for example, fought in wars. I'm just trying to find a logic behind There is also the possibility of a continuity issue or retcon but I want to give them a chance and find a logical answer
