I think the most I could ever see BioWare realistically doing is creating 1 or 2 face models to use for key characters outside the Tempest, like Sarissa, Vaderia, perhaps even the reporter. Honestly I wouldn't expect any new faces unless entirely new asari characters are introduced in a DLC.

They only differ in color and sometimes tatoos. But I wonder why noone's talking about Angarans in this context. They also look the same. If Jaal didn't have his cape, I couldn't tell him apart from every other Angaran I met. Again, only variation seems to be color and color of armor.

She just has more distinct facial markings. I just meant that the only characters I'd ever expect to see changes would be regular NPC's that have bigger roles. As for the Angara, at least Efvra has a distinct face apart from Jaal's. But then he is the best Angaran in Heleus.

There's no point of doing it anymore. Just two months after release and so many people already lost their interest over MEA. Except BSN barely can find any active topic.

I think the flaw is with the scene itself, because it makes it so obvious that the diversity is non-existent when they show these many Asari together. They should just change the angle of the shot, doing a far-off take on Asari greeting people in the bay at a distance, while Tann is talking if the resources for sculpting multiple Asari are not there.

They could have used some more variety....cloning is a bit lazy. Not to mention those Asari are a bit derpy looking....
The old trilogy had a lot of detail for Liara, but the other Asari was distinctive as well...at the very least they had some sort of variety...

Here's the thing. MEA took FIVE freaking years after ME3 to be released! FIVE! And the issue with Asari clones isn't the only bug/problem/issue with MEA. So there are 2 possibilities :
1. Top managers at Bioware/MEA were totally incompetent and didn't know about these issues. 2. Top managers at Bioware/MEA don't care about the ME franchise and/or don't know what made the ME franchise special to their fans.
I can't think of any other reasonable scenarios to explain what happened with MEA. As much as I hate to admit it, the Mass Effect universe (that I know and love) died with ME3. I hope I'm wrong and somehow the next ME game puts the franchise back on track, but I think it's a slim chance.

Couldn't agree more with you , how things like this are giving the green light by the management team is beyond me. If you are a fan of the series you do NOT approve the game during the test phase and say "yeah this game is ready to ship" now it rest to see how much they fix , this will show us how much of a fans and committed the devs are to this game

This is not a simple issue they can fix with a patch. It seems it will require going through and re-writing entire lines of code to give them some sort of variety and that is not going to happen. I'm glad they choose to fix that plastic doll look of the characters, because honestly, that was something the dev's or QA should have looked at initially and stated that this game still needs polishing.

Not easy to fix but shouldn't have happened in the first place. Character creators are nothing new, and since Asari faces are really just blue human faces how hard would it have been to use that to generate random asari on the fly? That would be fine for background NPCs, someone could cast a quick eye over them first to make sure nothing completely ridiculous-looking appears. Save a few of the better ones for the mid-tier NPCs (ones you talk to for one mission), and handcraft the main characters. I very much doubt that could be easily added back in to the game, but how difficult would it have been to do in the first place?

At the end of the day, fans should stop complaining and focus on shooting stuff, get accustom to Biotic combo's,types of guns and ammo etc and then hop over to the real game....MULTIPLAYER. Sure,it will be a bit of a repetitive grind at the start but that's what those loot boxes are for, drop some cash and "IF" your luck you can get much better gear with out the hassle of even playing the game. WTF happened to you Bioware.????

Yes this is an obvious flaw and yes the game has some bugs but while not perfect it is still a great game. Also you have to realize none of the ME games had this many Asari even on Thesia. The main ones to me are unique enough.

I really don't. I mean yeah it's obvious in this scene but for the most part it is diverse enough to me. Well, it is obvious, but not to the extent of bitching and moaning about it either. Nothing to defend, that's for sure, since it kills immersion in many instances when you're asking yourself, who the fuck am I talking to. Which is more of an issue with Angaarans, who also look the same.
