It's easy. I was talking to someone who was talking about forum opinions, so my argument was about... wait for it... forum opinions. Then you butted in and presented a straw man, an argument against an argument I wasn't making an argument for. C is passing, not dumpster fire. Unless you went to some really strange school, I suppose. I went to Catholic school. C means I got by and Dad wasn't going to have it. I dreaded every report card. There was always one C. You know you're in trouble when Dad is calling me out by my full name and he won't come out of Spanish. Not fun times. My parents weren't happy with C's either... but a dumpster fire is an F. Otherwise, dumpster fire loses all meaning.  |

Maybe a D+. B- at launch A- now. Not quite an A but I would give it a B+... by the new grading scale. I happened to go to school and then halfway through my education they switched grading scales... The new grading system -though it be tougher I hate its duplicity: 94-100 A 86-93 B 77-85 C 70-76 D 0-69 F VS 90-100 A 80-89 B 70-79 C 60-69 D 0-59 F Seems fair? Yeah... Right. It was definitely not easy to round to the next grade level.  EDIT: Wrong context. |

idk about that weird scale system of yours, gringos. But, here we have from 0.0 - 7.0 (with a minimum of 4.0 to pass), and i would give to MEA at launch a 4.5 and after the patches a 5.3.
As for the OP, No, you can't fix these kinds of things (well, you can, but will have to do A LOT of changes).

So, laziness is where it's at. I'm going to assume that it's a wash for this game. Maybe we'll get some new meshes in dlc, but I doubt it will impact existing characters. Perhaps MEA2, should it come, will correct these problems. I don't think it's laziness. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the Asari clone issue is so obvious that there's only 2 possibilities to explain this. Either the producers were incompetent (they never bothered to take a look at their product, test it out), or they DECIDED that this was OK.
I believe it was the latter. They decided that the time/cost of making different Asari faces (same with Angaran and other aliens too) was not worth it, even though in all 3 MET, they had distinct faces. And they had FIVE freaking years!
And this explains why MEA is just an OK game. Not terrible, not great, just OK - like a 75% rating. Unlike 90+% ratings for the previous 3 games.
For a big ME fan like me, this is VERY disappointing - a great franchise descending into mediocrity.
I seriously hope it's the former. |

I did admit that. It's quoted up above. I think people so vehemently defend it in response to vehement posts against it. I suspect they also see the flaws. Or, like one other person said regarding the asari in particular, it's just something that doesn't bother her so much. And, really, who cares? If she's not bothered, more power to her. It means she's not suffering while some of us are. For my part I do see it has flaws but far from the "dumpster fire" some claim. It is still a very good game despite the issues it has. Agreed, I would consider Ride To Hell: Retribution a dumpster fire. |
