Whenever you talk to an NPC out in the field, and you do so while still holding your weapon, Ryder continues to hold it up at the ready instead of lowering it during conversations, or just whenever facing a friendly NPC in general like Shepard used to do. Because of this, it looks like I'm holding poor Niilj at gunpoint. His choice of words while being "held at gunpoint" though made it a bit funny. Stop interrogating him Ryder, we're all supposed to be buddies here.

I wear it for aesthetic reasons, I like the radio antennae. I don't play Mass Effect games like MMOs where I need to have "the best build".

Holster your weapon then. Definitely too much to ask for, you arent realy suggesting the player has to press a button to counter sloppy programming, wonder if it is too complicated to auto holster weapon upon starting a conversation, gues it is.

Oh come on. It's a super slight detail easily dealt with by using a feature that a fair amount of people from the old forum asked to return.

I take it you don't play many games? It's an often overlooked part of games. Hell FPS games never lower the weapon during conversations.

Haaaaave you considered holstering your weapon? There's a button and everything.
I mean, if it actually bothers you, this is a really, really easy fix.

I gues you havent noticed the sacarsm about how hard it is to press one damn button And yes I know that and I have no idea why devs constantly "overlook" this, this is just as bad as a player who is too stupid to press a button to holster.

I know how to holster my weapon, I just never bother to when out in the middle of a battlefield rushing through the dialogue cause I've already done this three other times.

Do not take it literaly and personaly, where I come from, the context is what gives "weight" to an adjective. So when this bothers you and you know how to holster, then it is kinda "stupid" not to do it (not in the sense of brain activity is realy low, like stupid stupid) and it does not mean BW is not stupid not to implement a simple mechanic to holster weapons automaticaly, but they are also not realy stupid, but the action, or lack of, is still kind of... well stupid. What did Forest Gump say? Stupid is as stupid does?

What did Forest Gump say? Stupid is as stupid does? Choosing not to holster your weapon during a passing bit of dialogue is not a stupid decision, in any regard. The fact being, if the game allows you to keep your weapon equipped when engaging in a conversation, it cant be a stupid act, its just an act, a possible act upon many available. Not to mention the act of not holstering your weapon doesnt cause any negativs outcome, which is to say you cant compare it to just jumping off a cliff that you know will result in a death. That is a stupid decision because it results in a negative consequence that can be avoided. But why am i debating this? Point of the OP was to poke fun at the perspective of the image.

The cameraman in my game is often so appalled at me suddenly switching to an Avenger that he focuses neither on me, not the person I'm talking to. And my companions' voices suddenly sound like they're speaking into a bucket. Quietly.

Believe it or not - some people actually like it when games give them greater control over their characters. As it stands, anyone who want to start an ambient conversation with weapons drawn can do so. I wanted to be able to enter and exit the Tempest ala ME1, and we've seen a number of requests to be able to board the Tempest without having to leave the planet. The thing is - if you'd actually needed to walk Ryder into the Tempest (perhaps with a short decontamination to cover loading time) and up to the bridge, people would have complained about that.
