Today something really strange happened, something I cannot explain rationally. I was going for a little relaxing walk -like I always do on Sundays- when I saw a man walking on a road on my right that would connect to the road I was walking on in about 200 meters or so. He wore a blue jacket and a blue hat and was walking at about the same pace as me. Watched him a while (1 minute or so) approaching when a couple bushes blocked my view for just a few seconds. Kept on walking, bushes gone - looked again and the man was gone also. There is absolutely no way that, while my view was blocked by the vegetation, he could have moved out of sight. Not even if he sprinted at maximum speed, there are no objects to hide behind in this specific area, no hills, no buildings, no trees, nothing. I know this area well, its just a road surrounded by flat level meadows. There is a small forest nearby but that is at least 15 minutes of walking distance away. Also he appeared to be hiking as well so he should have ended up on the road I was walking on. I looked around for 5 minutes and there was absolutely no trace of that man, just the road, nothing else. I have no idea what happened. I think it was you from an alternate universe and because as we all know you cannot meet alternate self or the universe will implode you have doomed us all, thanks, thanks a lot.

Someone posted a question on Facebook: "When was the last time you hugged your father?"
That hit hard. It's been over a year since he died. And it's been more than two years since I hugged him. Thanks to covid lockdown, we spoke, but we couldn't meet.
Sometimes I don't like the world we live in very much. .

I have no acceptable explanation. Maybe something about the building's structure? There is always a logical explanation, and this is a pretty good guess. As someone who understands building engineering (and don't even start about how many hats I wear, cause it's probably one too many ) I'd say most phenomena like this are caused by structures expanding and conracting. And structure-borne sounds can carry for dozens of yards. That's probably what it was, a reflection. Or you were seeing things, which is very common as well.

I'm 90% sure it was one of my neighbors, Did you check the ditches? I'm thinking he might have slipped or had a stroke and that he fell in the ditch. That would make him disappear for sure.

I think it was you from an alternate universe Actually, it might have been an older version of Beetle, travelling through time to warn him of the coming zombie apocalypse. Only to slip and crack his skull on an icy road, poor bugger. I mean, in this day and age, that is the logical explanation.

I had a pretty bad day, but it was better than the last and last two nights. I removed a tooth. My old dentist warned me years ago that "when" something happens to that tooth, it won't be possible to save and it must come out. Due to Covid I haven't been with the dentist for more than two years. Now time caught up. The tooth broke back in November. Things have been cool, and due to having moved, I have a long journey to my old dentist, ...and Covid. But of course it became infected, and night to Tuesday the pain set in.
So today I gave up. Knowing I had a dentist across the street, pretty much, I gave them a call. " - Oh yea, come over right away."
I'm on penicillin for a week and painkillers as far as I need, which will probably just be tomorrow too.

One never knows how a tooth removal goes. But I have to say he was pretty confidence inspiring. Seemed like good work from my POV. He even boasted before: "I'm great at removing teeth". I promised I'd consider switching dentist if all progressed well. Not that my old dentist isn't excellent, but she's far away now and works less and less, looking at retirement.

Today I googled the stats of my stationary bike, turns out I'm in a MUUUCH better shape that I initially thought. Sitting on the bike I feel heavy and out of shape and out of breath but apparently I do 350 watts / hour which is only a little less of what very trained cyclist do (400+). According to some sources I googled fit but untrained people usually do around 100-150 watts, and I totally blow those out of the water even though I'm a heavy weight lifter. HAH! Now my ego is unstoppable! I'm on penicillin for a week and painkillers as far as I need, which will probably just be tomorrow too. The same thing happened to me, deep in the second wave of the pandemic, out of the blue and without a reason a root canal started to fester so badly the pain was so bad that I didn't even care about covid anymore. Turned out the tooth was cracked even though there was no cavity, and the tooth could not be saved. That was before the vaccines and when covid was at an all time high, talk about bad timing. I missed several dentist checkups because of this blasted pandemic, covid sure as hell wasn't good news for my teeth.

Knowing I had a dentist across the street, pretty much, I gave them a call. " - Oh yea, come over right away." I'm on penicillin for a week and painkillers as far as I need, which will probably just be tomorrow too. I had this happen to me a week and a half ago. I went in because I had noticed I had some kind of gum infection. Zero pain. Went in, and had to come back over a month later to see what to do about it. (this was the appt 2 weeks ago). Due to the location - right at the back and right on the side, below my gum line, she wasn't sure whether it was going to be a filling, root canal or extraction. Half way through, it became apparent that there was nothing left to do but rip it out. I am ridiculously dentalphobic, and this did not do wonders for my hate of the dentist Anyway, it gets pulled out, and I go home. No pain killers needed other than for night time because it was just an annoying ache that wouldn't let me sleep, not because it hurt too much. 4 days later, all the painkillers are required. My jaw is swollen and sore, and my ear is killing me 2 days later for another appointment, yay infected dry socket. The usual prescription for antibiotics. Go to doctor for unrelated things. He then tells me I can't have ibuprofen because my blood pressure is playing armax arena chasing some high scores. Get stuck with paracetamol only because I don't also want to spend 6 hours vomiting if I have codeine. It's still sore now and doesnt feel "right". The tooth next to it is now pretty sensitive. At least most of the swelling is gone now, and 1 day left of antibiotics.

stuck with paracetamol only because I don't also want to spend 6 hours vomiting if I have codeine. Paracetamol is fine. There's a trick though. You gotta take 1000-1300 mg at a time. Which means you can only take it with 6 hour intervals and not for long. 500 mg is pointless, does nothing. 650 mg is okay if you're not in too much pain. But 1000 mg makes a lot of difference. The reason your tooth was painless may have been that the nerve was already dead?

Just got lucky, or unlucky depending on how you see it. If it was painful, it probably would have been fixed much earlier before it got to the stage it was. Apparently the abscess had been there for a while though.

Apparently the abscess had been there for a while though. I had an abscess in my gums too, once, and it barely hurt at all as well. The day before I went to the doctor my speech became sluggish and I felt like had some fever, next day it was opened up and the doctor was really stressed out. Apparently it was very severe, when he opened it I immediately noticed a stench that reminded me of old socks and fish. I got my gums stitched close and the doctor stared me in the eyes intensely saying that I REALLY have to take the antibiotics right away. It seems like bad infections don't necessarily hurt when they are located in the gums. That's a little scary.

I've had this string craving for chicken tikka masala with na'an. What do they put in that stuff? So Nan is short for nana which means grandma
And some childs pet chicken is named Masala.
So you want to steal bread from a grama, then steal child's pet chicken, tickle it and then eat it.
You are far more evil than I thought you were.

Opium, really? Huh. So that's why I felt buzzed last week No wonder I thought that was good sh*t! (Kidding. I've never actually tried it before). I still prefer homemade Carrot Cake with cream cheese icing.

Took a shower in the morning and used the opportunity to shave my chest but in the process I accidentally cut both my nipples - but I did not notice that at that time, it didn't even hurt a bit. Then in the office close to lunch break I walked past a mirror and noticed something strange, walked back to take a closer look - I had two blood stains on my shirt, exactly where my nipples were. I looked like some kinky super-weirdo.

I have a very upset stomach. I'm blaming the antibiotics I take. Pain in the jaw goes up and down all the time. Usually up when it's time to sleep. But no swellings and the trend seems to be receding. So I suppose I'm optimistic.
