But everyone I know who has played it likes it a lot, the only people who I know that dont are you salty bastards on the internet. You and your friends don't exist. You are a figment of your own imagination. Wow, so me and my friends are a figment of my imagination? Then I'm sure this post never happened, either.

Missed potential on Bioware's part is the most glaring thing to me. I know they have to deal with EA, but EA has somehow figured out who needed to stay so they can get back to churning out yearly products. I'm also on my second playthrough and I cashed it in. I'm done. I got bored with it and knowing that the end will have little change this time around gives me ZERO incentive to keep slogging onward. Here's a suggestion. Try a speedrun. If not, that's fine. Just a suggestion.

It took me about two weeks to do the speed run but I had to do it in short bursts. The long run started not longer after patch 1.05 but I returned my friend's PS4 this evening. He has Horizon Zero Dawn. I'm getting the collectors edition for the new PC when it's available. In total, I would say 70 hours and that's not too shabby.

We'll never know EA's origin numbers... But every other metric published so far hints at disappointing sales as far as physical and digital sales on Xbox and PS4 are concerned. That and the game was 30% off less than a week after release... To really be honest: games go on sale/discounts even before launch, it's all to entice people to buy the game and up those sales numbers. A lot of the xbox games take advantage of the free to play weekends or even give extended longer time periods to give people a taste, then they cut off that free to play period and you have people wanting to buy it after giving it a go in the F2P period. So I really don't see the game being 30% off as a desperate act and more so of trying to entice people. I get roughly 25%-30% off for first day purchases. But thats only ever a 48hr period. Prices go back to full price shortly afterwards. I haven't actually seen physicals on sale yet they did that with the previous games to clear space. I'm guessing Ghost Recon, Nier and ME were supposed to make up for it. ME:A isn't moving off the shelves but its not piling up in the used game store either. Which is where games like watch dogs 1 and No Mans Sky ended up by the dozen. I don't think we can call it a flop yet, (they would have made $$$ just off merchandise before release btw) But the game clearly flatlined and as I recall an online Christian magazine article was titled: When Mass Effect fell flat it was a humbling experience. Its not a commercial failure yet but it cut it damn close and hopefully humbled a lot more than a lone christian fanboy.

Well, it'd be nice to get something more solid for perspective. For now it's just a silly echo chamber. EA doesn't give numbers and they haven't for years, I would expect something along these lines if they have anything to boast about. Source
My guess is they are trying to prevent people from over analyzing any information and trying to prove their point of view based on the numbers they provide by trying to put a spin on the numbers. Yeah, they'd be boasting their socks off by now if they considered it to be even a moderate hit.

He has Horizon Zero Dawn. I'm getting the collectors edition for the new PC when it's available. In total, I would say 70 hours and that's not too shabby. I asked because I've done speedruns for MEA and ME1. Never did one for ME2/3. I might one day. I do it to change things up. Its different. It adds replay value. When I was doing my insanity run to get the trophy, I was on Voeld looking for the transponder for the asari ship. Got to that location, but was killed. After trying 4 times, I decided to heack with it, and just do the main missions to get the trophy. I ended finishing the game in about 21 hours. I thought to myself, had I just did the main missions, I could have finished the game with a much lower time. That when I decide to do my first speedrun. My first speedrun was on hardcore. I was going to see it I could finish below 10 hours. I did. 4 hours 27 minutes. After a couple more playthroughs, I did 2 more speedruns one weekend on insanity and normal mode. Both times faster than my hardcore run. I'm planning on another speedrun, but I won't use weapon. Just a melee weapon, charge and concussive shot on insanity mode. What does this have to do with MEA sales. Nothing. I like for the game to sell well. No idea how many copies have been sold at this point. I'm sure with all the feedback, Bioware will make improvements for the next game.

No surprise. MEA is a flop when it comes to sales. And critics. And most fans. Rightfully so, but I'm concerned whether it'll be a learning lesson or an incentive for EA to soon "Maxis-SimCity" BioWare. In fact, I recently read up on the Sim City fiasco which led EA to indefinitely close Maxis Redwood Shores who is the original developer of Sim City, Sims 1+2 and Spore, but only after having opened a mostly EA-driven subdivision of Maxis that made Sims 3. Considering that BioWare Montreal is now developing the future of the hit-franchise and BioWare's main branch takes a big risk with a new IP plus rumors of a new BioWare division opening in Vancouver I'm starting to wonder if EA is grooming the closure of BioWare Edmonton and fully rebranding the label BioWare as a completely EA driven thing.

This forum needs "factions". Biower typically has a few factions in their programming, eg: "hostile", "friendly", "neutral". I present these options: 1) BioWare White Knights - there are plenty of you here, shining brightly and fearless of those who trash your dear Biower and their fabulous product: 2) Biower Flesh Wounds - quite a few of those here too, they have been wounded by jaggy writing shards, falling through plotholes, and feeling like: 3) GI's - THE ME3MP forumites that stay strong, recognize their faults AND the game's, and continue to shitpost regardless of how they feel about this game: The third faction, while smallest, is by far the strongest. Sign up for your faction here! link

I doubt that. Maxis was in trouble for a long time. Bioware isn't and yes if this game was a massive hit there would be gloating but nothing suggests it's a failure.

Forgive my pessimism but when Bioware shut down their own forums they effectively said, "We,re not listening anymore (insert whatever snowflake excuse here) and made a cowards run to other platforms." I love these forums though because word is getting back to the developers regardless. I am a fan and my tastes were formed by each successive title. When you're used to dining on steak-in-the-bone and you're given a hamburger (whether or not it's super delicious) it's still noticeable.

Sign up for your faction here! linkI'm a #1 with any product prior to EA. I'm a #2 after EA. At times, I'm a #1 though. I gave Inquisition a second chance and the DLC was damn good. The game itself suffered from the same problems I raised, but the DLC was confined to certain locations and you were constantly pushing the narrative forward... like the old games. I'm all for open world, just make use of the world. I don't need another Fallout 3 or 4. I don't need another Far Cry. I want more of Dragon Age and Mass Effect regardless of the direction the story takes us. That's the writer's prerogative and the developers job to make it happen. Art, music, storytelling are Bioware's hallmark components and EA can't produce art. Old Bioware is gone and new Bioware is trying (and laying down a solid foundation though it is undercut by cheap budgets, cheap hires and unreal expectations even for a Bioware-junkie like me.) I believe in the new guys but f*** them if they can't see what I'm desperately trying to say and only see the poisonous barbs that I want to impale in their eyes. People have feelings, blah, blah, blah. This is the real world, yo. Fight harder, get smarter and make yourself a hot commodity in your field. Make the recruiters call you. If you don't know how, crying and whining is not the solution. I'm not sure what safe-zone happy college these new Bioware employees came from, but those schools failed them. A degree is a worthless piece of paper until YOU make it worth something. Ask the old Bioware if you don't believe me. EA is not a bad company. It's a terrible one. The job market is not clamoring for Bioware employees now, are they? You are not in high demand anymore. That train passed and the competition is growing against you. Fight back you talented daisies. Fight back with beautiful, polished work and get your own resume padded with real victories. Fuck IGN's award for Inquisition. People in the industry laugh at that one. It's nothing to brag about. I was at PAX South and the shit talking on Bioware was unreal. UNREAL. Austin is 60 miles north of San Antonio and Bioware was either not there or too ashamed to show off anything. That whole dog and pony show about diversity was nothing more than a smoke screen to cover the fact that Andromeda was already struggling. Anwyay, peace out. I'm going to the roleplay section. I was kindly invited in and I still have yet to polish my character. It takes time to do it right.
