No surprise. MEA is a flop when it comes to sales. And critics. And most fans.

What are the actual sales numbers anyway?  

Meh, don't care about how well/bad games sell or download.

GTA is popular for the online aspect. It has been given a ton of support and still gives out mega deals to help people out. The online aspect is the only thing I like about it, I still haven't finished its actual story mode and don't intend to. It's to much fun just running people over with bulletproof cars instead plus there's custom games people make that are just badass compared to what the story makes you do.

To really be honest: games go on sale/discounts even before launch, it's all to entice people to buy the game and up those sales numbers. A lot of the xbox games take advantage of the free to play weekends or even give extended longer time periods to give people a taste, then they cut off that free to play period and you have people wanting to buy it after giving it a go in the F2P period. 

So I really don't see the game being 30% off as a desperate act and more so of trying to entice people. 

And HZD dropped from 2 to 13 and it being playstation exclusive must mean it is a huge flop then?

Disappointing compared to what? EA publicly stated that they were only projecting three million copies sold during launch.  That doesn't mean if they only sell two million it is a failure, just because it wasn't #1 on the sales lists doesn't instantly make it a failure.  A failure is only if the game doesn't meet the internal numbers and they haven't released them, only projections.

25% off in the first two weeks is a really bad sign for a AAA title. That's when 50%+ of sales occur, and they are expected to be for full price. PC can get some pretty good discounts early, but not the Xbox and PS4. That's a sign that retailers were not seeing the sales they desired, and dropped the price to get rid of b-stock in their stores.

So HZD sold better than MEA in both march and april? That game was released in February. MEA is really in bad shape. 

Not really, that is all public perception and not if the game is meeting expectations of what the publisher and developer have.  If EA is expecting three million copies sold, but retailers buy five million copies to sell, EA had its expectations met, but retailers have two million copies to burn.

You clearly don't understand how retail companies work with publishers on unit purchasing.
