Lmaoooo, honestly at this point it seems gay men have much more restrictive standards than straight men when it comes to video game pixels  I've seen this with my own circle of gay friends as well! I'm more concerned whether any of the male romances feel like they were written with men in mind, since we are going back to all bi route. And yes, I can generally tell who the target demographic is.I’m not sure about the straight man comment. I’ve already seen some men complaining about Taash looking to masculine. It’s sound like same group that didn’t find Casandra feminine enough is about to complain about Taash. That's nothing compared to what Cassandra went through. In BSN Prime, there was an entire thread where a user used Anthropology to conclude that Cassandra was a man.

That was the cringiest trailer Bioware has ever put out. Far from it, Origins' trailers were so bad that I haven't played it until after I finished DA2.

Best showcase of the year. No doubt. All Xbox had to do was to show up after State of Play, but they exceeded my expectations with this showcase.

Just watched the trailer & I've gotta say, I'm not really impressed, I wasn't a fan of the poppy out flashy character cards & personally didn't really like the character designs & in short, after all this time waiting, I feel as though this is seriously under par, as surely the trailer should set the tone for the game right? Please don't tell me it's gonna be some quippy Maevelesque type banter & approach, that horse has been flogged long after death.
So I'm not feeling hyped for this, hopefully the gameplay trailer will assuage my doubts, we'll see. Just my thoughts I think it's 3 games too late on that lol.

Ok Varric is a big player in this game. More than Dorian as it seems. Thank god not a companion (well atleast not a full one). But i fear that Bioware will kill Varric off at the beginning or so for some drama.  Shouldn't he be ruling Kirkwall right now? Lol.

So Lace has unexpected magical powers now. Ok how and more important why? Right now i would say that i am not a fan from this likely titan powerup she got between DAI and DAV. The Titans had something to do with it I bet.

Anybody notice what the PC is holding in their hand? Didn't that appear in one of those icons? Think that could be our unique item in this game.  It looks like the dagger in the old Steam icons (there was two version with different colors I believe) people found a long time ago. You mean to tell me we can make our very own Lightsabers?!

Last I checked, Larian respects Bioware and loves their games so it makes even less sense for Larian fans to act like that. Oh for sure that Larian itself does. But there are idiots among any fanbase and Larian has their share like any other. I was referring to some fanboy comments in the trailer reaction from self-identified BG3 fans who are clearly clueless as to the games history. Dragon Age and BG are a rivalry it seems.

The stylization in the trailer took me off guard but overall I rolled with it. The Fortnite comparison make me scratch my head, do people really think they look identical? The only one that made me go "Eh, I think this is a bit too much" is Emmrich. On top of that we've got the GameInformer screenshots(?) that look definitely more "realistic", so who knows how the game will actually look. Guess we'll have to wait until June 11th! I get why many dislike the artstyle, but I'm in a weird sort of disconnect because I love DA so much that they could give me a Persona-fied Dragon Age game and I'd play the hell out of it if it's good  People see colours and they think "NOOOOOO, FORTNITE CLONE" for some reason.  If they think this looks like Fortnite, then they've never a game of Fortnite before lol.

The trailers from ages ago? Since which a lot of crap might have been changed, including the title?
Solas will still be the center of the game don't know why they changed the title but I think it has something to do with Solas' plan with the veil.

Disappointing. This looks like a mobile shooter game, not an AAA title. The tone seems to pick right up where the terrible Netflix show left off. Where is the dark fantasy, where is the threat, where the hell is Solas? Why do the faces look like plastic? This is NOT what I have been waiting for. The dark fantasy was already shown in the previous trailers lol.

OK, the trailer for Shattered Space was awesome. House Va'ruun was a given. Most interesting faction in the game and criminally underused, probably held back for the DLC. Yes, it appears Andreja will get to go home again after all.  Too bad my wife died in my playthrough.

Just rewatched the trailer with no sound and what do you know it does look better somehow. Also, the character presentation thingie is just silly. If they had not put those in trailer and went with another music I guess the trailer would go down much better. Now Mark Darrah describing this as the best Bioware trailer of all time is just beyond me.... They should have made sure to release an epic trailer to make people go crazy with anticipation for the gameplay reveal. Looking at the trailer ratio on youtube they just blew it right from the start.... That gameplay better hit hard! Maybe the best Dragon Age trailer. Because looking bad, all previous DA cinematic trailers were rather bad, having own time-related trend chasing issues.
Mass Effect trailers just another league compared to this.
Origins' trailers were the worst. They were part of the reason why I never got into Dragon Age until DA2.

One is left to wonder why they couldn't represent the art style in a reveal trailer. Have you watched any of the past cinematic trailers? They never look like in game graphics. Leliana and Morrigan in the Sacred Ashes trailer are unrecognizable, and the DAI trailers had a similar art style to this one. People just want to complain and be upset these days, I guess. Yeah Leliana and Morrigan looked FAAAARRRR different in their CG trailers lol. The artstyle is fine, I feel that folks are overreacting. Not helped with Youtubers ready to rip the game apart under the guise of it being "woke". lol.

I feel happy for the Harding fans, but that's about it. The trailer feels like it is more geard for Fortnite or a quirky Marvel movie...so I really hope that is just a side effect of having Varric/Harding doing the narration. But for right now, the trailer has given me cause to lower my already-low expectations even further. Dragon Age was always marvel quippy from Sarcastic Hawke to even Alistair.

Just regarding the backlash that is rampant on the YT trailer page, be ready for more. Sure, if the art style in the trailer isn't your thing, that's fair. But BW is going to pull all the "anti-woke" crowd who will be drawn in like flies. YT is already suggesting vids to me calling DA "woke trash" because I've viewed vids on Veilguard. The atmosphere in gaming right now is seriously toxic. Now and days, games need to be legendary or it's flat out trash and if you're considered an enemy in the eyes of gamers, it's an uphill battle.

Yep the anti-diversity crowd. Ok, a reality check here: I have been a Larian fan since DOS about 10 years ago. Larian fans attacking this trailer are forgetting that Larian has always had a bit of cartoony cheese in their games too. Also that cartoony jive was present in DAI. Right now my Inky is running around Thedas in purple tinted armor with spikes shooting out of the shoulders. So let's keep in mind they've always had some cartoon jank going. That said the trailer had it turned up to 11 and I would probably have wanted a darker reveal myself. But that's just me. The gameplay will show us more of what the game is. also DA 2 had FF Fenris. Pretty boy Fenris with the anime vibes.
