Yet somehow it can't be nominated for a single award in the TGA. Another reason why I think game awards are meaningless.

Don't know about the rest, but Game Pass is still one of the best deals in gaming in my opinion. So many good games and whenever they leave, I can buy it at a discount.

So, on another topic, when do we start the betting pool regarding release date? And what would the prize be for being most accurate? I'm going to be an optimist and say 17th of November. It'll be released around the same time as Winds of Winter.

Oh BSN, you wanted CDPR to take Dragon Age to make it like TW3, and now you want Larian to take Dragon Age to make it like DOS2 or BG3. Why not just make Dragon Age like Dragon Age? Because people look at gaming companies as the "savior of video games" It happened with CDPR and it's now happening with Larian.

Gonna take a break from my playthrough of BG3 (I'm just overwhelmed with all the save scumming lol.) and I'm going to play some Starfield. I have a lot to finish anyway. Like working for that war criminal so I can get that UC spacesuit lol.

I think I'm at the point where I'm seriously debating if Star Citizen is a scam or if Chris Roberts is allowing his vision is getting out of control. Roberts always needed someone to keep his scoping under control. They basically rewrote the CryEngine (well Amazon version now) and created a lots of new tech to match the vision he wanted (from networking to procedural tools). Roberts also caused many feature implementations to be remade from scratch because they were not quite like he wanted them (I think the animation rigs was remade 3 times). The guy won't accept short cuts and video games are made of short cuts to fit deadlines. What I've learned watching Star Citizen's development is that publishers despite them being pushy and out of touch, are a necessary evil especially for a guy like Roberts. Sometimes, you gotta bite the bullet and compromise your vision so you can get the game out. What I'm seeing is a man's ambition going waaayyyy out of control to the point where that his vision is likely going to be impossible to realize.

Innovative doesn’t necessarily mean completely new. It can be just taking what is old and making it fresh. There’s no game on the sci fi market like Starfield. It offers everything from ship building, rpg, exploring planets, ship combat, companions, fully realized quests. It’s brimming with ambition and essentially is everything that Star Citizen wanted to be. If you look at Starfield from its individual parts, it may not be the best at it. But what makes Starfield so good is that it’s great by the sum of its parts and that to me what makes it innovative. I don't want to derail this thread, but Starfield is pretty much everything Star Citizen doesn't want to be. I think I'm at the point where I'm seriously debating if Star Citizen is a scam or if Chris Roberts is allowing his vision is getting out of control.

I haven't posted my playthrough yet because I was busy spending time looking up exploits lol. I will write my summary either today or tomorrow but does anyone have any tips to make Astrion an Archer? I've been wanting an archer archetype and Astrion seemingly fits the bill. Thief/Gloomstalker, dual hand crossbows, archery style from ranger. Take sharpshooter feat once you can. Max Dex, take any class bonus that add more actions on thief (can even splice in Fighter for actions surge). There are guide out there for more details. It's a popular solo tactician difficulty build, even after Larian fixed dual hand crossbow bonuses and sharpshooter. I have a preference for a Bow so I'll stick with that. I don't want to deal with having to constantly switch both weapons out thoughout my playthrough lol. Is archery like Dragon Age, where you can fire an infinite amount of arrows and the specialized ones are only temporary?

For most "innovative gameplay"...you should see the people complaining online. I doubt they looked at the other finalists for that category thought: Two "detective" games, a low budget fighter game and Remnant II... I just took a look at the Steam subreddit..... seessh so many slurs being thrown at people who voted for Starfield.

So now awards are rigged now? Funny. Pretty obviously a joke. You have played the game, do you think it is an award it should have been given? I don't care to be honest. I think games awards are a joke in general and I feel that devs look at it as something to pad their resume. I just find it hilarious that the same people who were memeing on Bethesda for not winning anything at the Games Awards are losing their minds over it winning something. People put way too much value over awards especially one that's created by Geoff aka: the Doritos Pope. For all people's supposed hate for games journalists, they seem to really care whether or not a game wins an award bestowed by them.

That award feels like a joke to me. I saw it on my Steam page today and I was like WTF?! Did they bribe somebody? LOL. Can't think of any category this game is less deserving of. Unless Starfield somehow got it for the ship building which is the best feature of the game at least. So now awards are rigged now? Funny.

10 million copies sold is a loss? With a budget of $220 Million not counting marketing, discounts mere months after release and Part 2 DLC being canned; I would say that it vastly under-performed.
Also, Factions got cancelled which was no doubt a casualty of the under-performance.
It must be a real kick in the teeth to see a remaster of the first game sell better than the second one.

Dual Wielding warrior was my favorite build to run, ever since Bioware got rid of it, the warrior wasn't as fun for me anymore and I switched to the Rogue. I really hope that we can dual wield Longswords again in DA: D.

Okay first the good news: I found Liazreal! She was talking to the other Gith who were riding Red Dragons so that was cool. Their arrogance and condescension on the other hand was not cool, it felt satisfying jawing off and forcing them to stand down. I got Liazel and I'm planning on making her a Tank/Support. I gave her the rally ability and it's been helpful in giving my Monk some extra health when he goes deep into enemy lines punching people lol.
The bad news is that I raged quit on Thursday because I stumbled on some travelers holding off a hoarde of level 5 Gnolls. Two problems: Majority of my party are level 3 with Lizereal being the highest at level 4 and also while we were traversing the cave, Wyll somehow got stuck and couldn't jump which kept him out of the fight. So that was one less magic dps user out of commission because I committed Shadowheart as a support (I do have offensive spells for her, but I want to have Shadowheart buffing my team and healing if necessary.) So the fight went as well as you expected with my entire team and the travellers getting blasted to bits and made me turn off my Xbox in muttering words that I never thought would be in my vocabulary. XD I REALLY wish that the game could tell me the recommended level to do the missions like TW3. They kinda do for example when Lizereal insisted that I go in that dungeon for a cure, the game told me that my party isn't a high enough level when I tried to enter the dungeon. It would be nice to know before I do the mission without being wrecked (didn't help that Wyll couldn't join the fight, but I doubt he would've made a difference.) So next session, I loaded my previous save and avoided the Gnoll cave all together and went down to one of the riverbanks to meet Karliach and seeesh I think she might be one of my favorite characters aside from Shadowheart. Everything about her screamed badass from her looks to attitude, I had to calm down Wyll though since he was eager to kill her out of his group's honor or something. Thankfully he was open minded which earned me some respect for the man. Afterwards, I went to camp so I can summon Karalach so I can try her out and I've made some progress with Shadowheart's story. In a way she kinda reminds me of Andreja from Starfield in how religious she is. I married Andreja in my playthrough of Starfield and right now Shadowheart is making the moves on me. XD
A funny moment happened in camp was when Lizeal attempted to kill me because of the worm in my brain. With a high roll, I managed to deceive her into thinking I was going to kill her with her knife which earned her approval when she found out my ruse lol. Sooo back to Karaliach her fighting style reminded me of Iron Bull and kept her spec as a Juggernaut Tank. Man is her abilities fun to use, when fighting those fake Knights, I had a lot of fun with her rage abilities. Pretty easy understand and use, I might play as a Barbarian in my next playthrough. Fighting in the building was a pain in the butt though, there was jank in the movements which preventing from going where I wanted to go. For example, I wanted to use my flurry of fist on the Halfling Archer who retreated outside but the game kept forcing me to attack the wall despite the fact that I'M NEAR THE HALFLING!
Anyway, Karliah is fun and we all kicked ass. I picked up the sword of justice and equipped it to Karliah and we were on our merry way to rescue that Master Druid from Goblins. Unfortunately, I ran into Rapheal, a devil who claims to have the cure for what ails my group. (Lol) And I told him kindly go away before I put my fist down south (wish there was actually a dialogue for that lol) and he teleported me back to the real world. It was a weird moment but I have a feeling that we'll meet again. So I came to the Goblin camp, talked up the Goblin for a bit before I flung some dung to his face and we had a pretty fun fight. The highlights were Wyll using his fireballs to knock a Goblin off the high ground and a Goblin using a trap unleashing a giant boulder to try to kill me only to end up KILLING HIMSELF AND HALF THE ATTACKING GROUP!
That was sooo fun lol if there's anything that BG3 nailed was that CRPG fights are actually really fun because they did a good job implementing it to consoles while still being accessible for PC. So I end my session seeing Volo being kidnapped by Goblins and me wondering if I'm actually making progress in the game. I've yet to find good armor for my Monk or Shadowheart or Wyll for that matter.

That being said, I DID encounter a Bugbear and a Giant..... ugh I really don't want to describe it. All I'm going to say is that I killed them both in a fun battle lol. You monster! How can you kill two beings in a beautiful act of love? Seriously though in my first playthrough I killed them too. In my current I just didn't open the door. I tried to talk things over but they didn't want to listen lol. XD
