He mentioned it was entirely mutual, that there was no argument which led to this, and that the team took the news well. He also said he felt the franchise is in good hands.

I posted this in the twitter thread but that's now Laidlaw and Gaider gone from the DA franchise and the team may find that a hard hurdle to overcome. Karypshyn leaving left a big hole in the ME franchise IMO, and DA has never recovered combat wise after they decided to go more actiony and the revered and respected Knowles left (probably in disgust.)
We'll see what happens in DA4. Interested to see where Mike ends up also (possibly go to Beamdog? They seem to be gobbling up some ex Bioware personnel.)

Mike came to him one day and said "Remember Isabela from the Pearl, she's a companion now" So, he was in charge of all the "Creative" aspects of the games.... I think. |
