Wait a minute. People actually thought that the Catalyst was right about the supposed problem? Didn't the Catalyst at some point in the conversation say he'd made a mistake or miscalculation about the whole thing but can't stop it on its own?

Nexus definitely changed over time. Boxes were removed, spaces opened up. The cultural center, Vortex and tech labs weren't open in the beginning. Hydroponics and apartments were available later. Also, though we don't really see them, there was a news broadcast that said some, I can't remember what they called them, but neighborhoods or wards were newly opened in on of the arms.
So yes, it's subtle, but it definitely is being repaired as colonies are being settled. I think it's done in direct relation to placing colonies and increasing the viablity of the planets.
But I do wish we'd have more say in what gets done first. Or a better ability to customize our own quarters. That, I had expected. Like changing some of the furniture and such.

It would make the most impact if the people in Andromeda knew what happened in the Milky Way. If they all know for a fact that they're the last of their perspective races, then the stakes would truly skyrocket. And the exile/Nexus factions might have a reason to come together more cooperatively, if not complete allies.

Uh what? First time arriving at the Citadel, becoming a Spectre, talking to Sovereign, choosing a friend to die, calling in the fleet to save the Destiny Ascension. There were lots of big moments in ME1 that hit you right in the feels. Not for me. It was ok, but ME1 did nothing for me minus meeting Vigil, and the end part when Shepard comes out of the debris smiling. ME2 is where I had real feels, and ME3. I'm with you on this. Shep walking out of the rubble hit me in the feels. I had no regret leaving Ash behind, even when my Shep romanced her. The other things, like seeing Jack become a teacher was okay, but not earth-shattering to me. The Mordin bits...that got me. The end. Gah. After many play throughs, I still need tissues for that last scene. And no, I didn't kill him myself. But those feels came after a full game of getting to know him. While I do love a lot of the moments, it took me time to get get attached to the characters and it didn't fully happen in the first game.

I liked Vivienne. I thought she was a good character. She might be hard to get close to, but she lived with no apology. I like Liam, too. He's young, idealistic, and has lots of room to grow. Jacob was a bit bland. Definitely the typical by-the-book sort. He most certainly was good looking.
I loathed Anderson. Didn't like him from the start. He was too whiny to me. He just didn't do a good job of making his case without sounding like a bratty kid, imo.

I got to 99% on first playthrough and thought I got everything and due to bugs wouldn't get higher. But on 2nd one, I just hit 100% and that is WITH bugged Noman shield crafting still stuck in Journal and 99% Heleus clusters scanning (every individual system I hover-over shows 100% yet the overall percentage on Galaxy Map view says 99%). Discovered few new little side quests that seem to have pushed me to 100%. So I say you did miss some things. First things to check - unmarked quests you get by scanning/picking/destroying objects with White Icon markers in Kett/Outlaw/Remnant Outpusts on 4 big open-world planets. These spawn randomly so lots of driving around may be needed. Eos has 3 to find in Remnant/Kett bases + scanning 10 dead bodies for Lexi around Site 1/2 area. Don't forget to exhaust all conversation options multiple times with Prodromos team, they give out quests too. Probe Retrieval quest, if bugged, may count for completition too. You should pick it up at Prodromos first before scanning any probe out in the field. Voeld has 4 outposts unmarked quests (white markers) to find + separate quest with 3 datapads to find outside outpuosts where historical battles took place. There are also unmarked quests you get by driving to specific locations, like helping Angara resistance fighters from Kett attack, or the sniper quest near the central Angara base. Check back first Voeld base after establishing outpust, the religious lady in medical center will have new side quest. Kadara has 2 outpusts chains (white marker objects to scan/destroy etc) + unmarked Cerberus side quest, potheads side quest which I would advise to pick up before unmarked Nexus refugee side quest (so that they ask you to get a lamp for their weed before you're given it by one of the Nexus refugee folks). Eladeen has 4 outpost unmarked quests + unmarked quests like a scientist in the sinkhole (broken ship) + another quests with retrieving drive cores from the "bigger" Remnant sites (not to confuse with smaller Remnant outpusts). Of course all 4 of these planets have Architects, you need to kill them and then scan them from space. Recruiting Resistance fighters may also count. There are 3 - 1 on Voeld (the sniper from an unmarked side quest in front of central base), 1 around central Kadara (she calls you out as you drive the Nomad and may be hard to spot) and one in Paradise on Eladeen. You need Jaal in squad to get them to join the Resistance, after that talk to Resistance leading lady in first Voeld base to confirm their arrival. Go back to each hub (Kadara, Aya, Nexus) and talk with everyone again to see if they have new side quests to give or if you missed anything, quite possible, check hub maps too. I missed a side quest on Kadara first time in port jail, guy asks you to deliver a message to his Asari "girlfriend" in slums club. On New Game+ I also got new side quests from one of the elite Angara military units in Nexus cultural center (doing some combat tasks on Voeld). Thanks Petro, appreciate the reply. Almost all of that I recognize and have done; however, recruiting resistance fighters doesn't ring a bell and I'm wondering if it's because I always have Cora and Liam with me...hmmm. Oh and I forgot about one more quest that's bugged for me. "Strange Beacon" on Voeld. I used the intercom and spoke to the sniper. Warned me about trip mines and that I have to sweep the site and escape. Scanned two mines, shot them, hopped in the Nomad and drove away. Nothing happened. Used a forward station for a different quest turn in, now when I return to that Remnant site, the top right of my screen says to sweep area for mines, yet no mines are scannable, and the intercom doesn't work obviously. Drive in, drive out safely. No quest completion. Leaving planet, restarting game doesn't work either. Every time I enter that Remnant site, quest pops up on my screen and nothing can actually be done. Plus it's not in my quest journal either. But I'll definitely check out the resistance fighters. Thanks. Huh. I did the sniper thing, got the "strange beacon" quest. Didn't trip any mines, did scan something in the middle of a kett encampent and got the quest finished.

I'm enjoying it, too. Do I think it's some Holy Grail of ground-breaking perfection? Nope. But then, I know there's never going to be any such thing anywhere. So I'm just playing a new game with a new setting but familiar background and (to me) likeable characters. And having fun doing it.

Nope. MET had several "last notes, last recordings." I don't think it's exclusive to Bioware, either.

No. I don't want to do that again. I would like a a bit more snark or angry or mean options, but not to do the whole system that way. I definitely don't want to be locked out of certain options because of a couple of dialogue choices.

I figured it was just a standard Pathfinder protocol to orbit the planet at least partially until decisions were made on where to go next, since my Ryder, at least, doesn't always decide right away. I do agree it would make sense to stay on the ground until those decisions are made, but it never bothered me too much. That's fine as far as it goes, but it doesn't allow you to board the Tempest just to check e-mail, apex missions, retrieve cryo pod loot, or converse with a squadmate. There were times in ME3 I might have liked to return to the Normandy without leaving the Citadel, for example. Maybe wear the dress blues for a diplomatic meeting or to attend a memorial, and then change clothes to hang out with Jack in Purgatory or meet VS for dinner, or whatever. Oh, I agree. There are times now and in MET when I'd want to do the same thing. Just pop back inside for a minute without having to leave. I don't know if it was a design thing or a problem with animations. If it was the view from the huge windows, they could always say they have to put shutters down when plantside for privacy or something.

I thought they do when they lock the door after they outrun that big black cloud. Ryder locks the door down and nobody can get back in. At least not without Ryder, I thought. I will not spil anything, but yes later on bandits/raiders are inside a vault and looting. So pretty safe to say either Ryders are not the only once that can open the vaults or we did not lock after us. Good point. I wonder if that was an oversight. Or Ryder forgot to lock up completely when he left. because I didn't think anyone was supposed to get in. I remember now, one or two, mostly bodies if I recall. They were likely there before Ryder arrived. I did wonder how they got in unless they somehow sneaked in and around Ryder, but I don't think that's feasible. Very good point.

Im still puzzled why when it needs a Ryder and a SAM to get into the vaults, why would we leave them open for, raiders, and other ppl to just walk into, when we switch them on, why not just lock some of the doors so no-one could F with it again.? I thought they do when they lock the door after they outrun that big black cloud. Ryder locks the door down and nobody can get back in. At least not without Ryder, I thought.

I voted linear with open world elements. But not maybe not quite as linear and a bit more open than ME1. I actually like wandering the open world, but I'd also like to see some of the tight-space combat come back.

When I learned that MEA would bring back some of the conventions of ME1 (exploration, the not-Mako, etc.), I was expecting to be able to walk through the airlock just like Shepard did in ME1. But nope! It's all cutscenes and automatically take off - again. It makes no sense whatsoever that Kallo (or Joker) would take off before Ryder (Shepard) has set a destination. I doubt that they'll fix this, but it would certainly be nice if they did. I figured it was just a standard Pathfinder protocol to orbit the planet at least partially until decisions were made on where to go next, since my Ryder, at least, doesn't always decide right away. I do agree it would make sense to stay on the ground until those decisions are made, but it never bothered me too much.

Ryder should be able to read email via the Omni Tool, or at least the Forward Stations, since they have a terminal... And sometimes you get a Research Station on them and sometimes not. Maybe SAM implant could forward the email or even recite it? But then again, I thought SAM would be able to solve those Sudoku puzzles too. Apparently there some severe limitations to AI implants. A beep to let you know via omni tool would have been fine. Forward stations too. Plus I can't help but laugh that all of these people keep sending e-mails that are never replied to. Shepard had the same syndrome. Don't send a quick response, instead I'm gonna fly to the system you're in and give you my answer in person. Some of the smaller missions could have done that instead of having me run back and forth ten times. And I'm just nitpicking. Three playthroughs in and I can't help but wish for things that make it easier on me. Some of the emails, not all but most that seem to require some kind of reply, have an "acknowledge" button. I always just assumed when you acknowledge, it sends an email back to the sender saying, "got it, I'll meet you when I'm there next time" or some other generic reply stating you got the message and have addressed or will address the issue.

Drack - Drack will die in a spectacular battle where he saves the rest of the squad by sacrificing himself. Kesh or Kesh's boyfriend/suitor will step up and find they've got a quad after all and take Drack's place. He will die at some point. It's one of the most common conversational topics for him. I know, I know. Bioware says no squadmates die in this game. But if not this one, the next. Peebee - Will go off on her merry way, showing up now and then to continue her romance with Ryder if the player chooses to. Alternatively, she will run off with Jaal and help with his endeavors in between collecting more remnant tech. Cora - Agree. She'll want a team of her own. Maybe an almost all-asari group of commandos. She's just not meant to be second. Of course, there will be no hard feelings and she'll return for the romance if the player chooses. She'll always have Ryder's back when needed, if only for sentimental reasons. Either that or she'll become a traitor who's been working for the Benefactor all along. Not likely, though. That would be too controversial these days. She'll have her own condo somewhere with a small rose garden on the balcony. Liam - Agree about HUSTL, though I think he'll continue to try to speak for and unite all people, including those on Kadara and work toward getting the exiles to come back to the fold. Or at least create a good relationship between them and Nexus. Jaal -I see him still feeling angst over what happens with his people and the kett and he ends up joining the resistance. If he and Peebee get along, they'll be together, as far as Peebee allows. Vetra - She is the toughest one. I really like her and would love to keep her but I can see her deciding to set a safer example for Sid, and becoming Minister of Trade, or some such thing on the Nexus. I'm sure they won't wipe the whole squad and if we lose anyone, it will be Drack. I think what's most likely is that they'll just add more people to choose from, or possibly do something like ME2 and take some away to do their thing, but make them more accessible during the game. No matter what happens to any of them, if the player romanced any of them, I think it will be up to the player to decide whether they want to continue, or even start a romance with any of them. There won't be any surprise cheating by the loved one, though story-wise I wouldn't mind but others really take those things personally, so I doubt BW would pull that again. Each squad member will/could be replaced by an equivalent class and sex to add even more romantic entanglements if one chooses.

I don't think we'll get a different PC next game. I sure hope not. I want to see the Family Secrets carried over into the next round and not solved via DLC in this one.

I am much more in favor of gating romance options based on a player's actual decisions within the game rather than their character's gender. So, basically, make everyone bi, and make choices matter. Now that would add an interesting twist.

I really hope the Ryders return. I don't like changing protagonists each game. I want to see my siblings develop and grow through a trilogy.
I don't know if I'd want the sibling to be a squaqdmate since, after all, they were both brought up to be in leadership roles. Maybe have the other sibling leading a team of their own. A strike team, but one where you can debrief in person with the sibling and opportunities to hang out with them.

Yeah, I'm working on Adept. Still stuck on the solo tutorial challenge. Though it looks like it's meant for a group. I have to have some minor surgery Tuesday. After that I'll have lots of time to hang around doing nothing. Or experimenting. Still, I know for sure there are a bunch of players out there who just might want to try it once. I might or might not like it. But I will take the time to do it. I'm enjoying SP and keep going there. The "challenge" after the first tutorial mission that it sends you to is actually just regular Bronze. It's hard because it's intended for 4 players, but you are trying to solo it. Just queue up for Bronze quick matches, they will be much easier; that's where you're supposed to earn the rest of the Tutorial Challenge badges. Ahh. That makes more sense. I was wondering why it was so darned hard. As soon as I'm able, I'll hop in a PUG or see if anyone here is around.
