*still waiting for CrutchCricket to report back* The Predator is the most disappointing thing since the last most disappointing thing's son. Yeah, it's Plinkett review-worthy bad. It starts out decent, has a lot of good ideas, to the point where a good Predator movie was almost there, under the surface. But then the nosedive it takes is perfect in its trajectory of garbage. Also, it might literally have been edited on cocaine. I may go in more detail later, if I still go through with an Alien/Predator thread.

They should at least finish the David saga.
In other news, I'll probably see The Predator tonight. I don't have high hopes but I'll report back.

We can only speculate on BioWare's internal state as a workplace- though I'm sure we've all heard stories.
Otherwise, going forward, all I can say is they need a solid vision. Mass Effect, even at the height of its power had a little too much of "throw stuff at wall, see what sticks". It only worked up to a point, and then they wrote themselves into a corner, where they had a (likely drug/stress-induced) vision that was entirely tacked-on and wtf to try and end it. The number of false starts Andromeda experienced isn't a vision, it's following (and dropping) fads as someone above said. Does Anthem have a vision? We won't know until it hits. It's easy to claim "Destiny clone", but it could still surprise us.
But yeah, knowing fuck all about anything behind the scenes, that's my commentary. Have a vision. Make your game about something, make it say something. And not some bullshit agenda of the day crap either. But rather, something that sparks the imagination of the audience and draws them in to engage. Something with a sense of wonder, and a clear care in every aspect of its communication. Something serious, that can also take the piss out of itself at times. Everything else, what you innovate, what features you want to put in, should all be in service of this central vision.

Ranking the stories Best - Worst Here's my rankings. All my characters are male and romanced a story companion. I also didn't mix alignments so no light side sith etc 1. Smuggler 2. Jedi Knight 4. Agent 5. Trooper 6. Sith Warrior 7. Jedi Consular 8. Sith Inquisitor Yes, but see, I already have to abuse my power and ban anyone who votes for Warrior (or downvotes agent). Making a poll about it adds entrapment to my list of charges. But if you insist...

Question for you DMs. At what level, would it be best to give out magical weapons? Also, any feedback on these weapons? Low Blow - Bo Staff (1d6 bludgeoning) (requires attunement) Bears markings of the Mauve Dragon monastery. You gain a +1 to attack rolls made with this magic weapon. This Bo Staff has 3 charges. Before making an attack roll, you can expend 1 charge swinging below the waist of a creature. Cannot expend another charge until next turn. On a successful hit the target takes an extra 1d4 bludgeoning damage and their movement is halved until their next turn. The club regains 1d4 expended charges daily at dawn. The Petra - Greatsword (2d6 slashing) (requires attunement) This serrated greatsword drips with a dark shadowy essence. The target takes an extra 1d4 necrotic damage. The target must also make a Constituion saving throw dc save 14. Upon a failed save the target is paralyzed. Target must make another Constituion saving throw on next turn to break the condition. If the target fails throw on next turn it takes an additional 1d4 damage necrotic damage. If a creature drops to 0 hit points on a failed saved the creature becomes petrified. Yeah, concur with Iakus, depends on their power level. Low Blow- probably doesn't need attunement, for a conditional extra d4 three times a day, even with a +1. Petra- the paralyzation effect is on-hit? That's a little strong, and for that DC. I'd change that part to on a critical or nat 20. I would also change the condition to stunned, as paralyzed also makes melee attacks against it auto-crit, whereas stun does not. Specifying duration on the condition would also help. Try:

Mr Plinkett's review at least provides bonus entertainment value besides the criticism itself, so it might be easier to digest, but even that is an hour-long video. Plinkett's Star Wars reviews are unequivocally better than the movies themselves. Every single one of them.Change my mind. Nah, Plinkett Awakens was just as bad as Hope Harder, and almost as plagiarized from earlier material. #sellouthacks The new one was also too apologist but at least they got back on track slightly. Now they're just like everyone else, waking up too late... and not #sellouthacks.

Terminator 4 was fine. Fite me in RL. If you mean Terminator: Salvation, then you are correct. Marcus Wright was teh best thing they came up with since the T-1000 and should've had more movies. No exceptions.

Incidentally, mybudgee, I seem to remember you making an Alien/Predator thread that you then requested be locked. I think the case can be made that discussion of those franchises might still continue. Should we revive it?

Watched the story on Youtube. It was pretty damn awesome. I still miss classic Kratos and am slowly replaying the old games. But they knocked it out of the park with this one, and I have to admit expanded the possibility of Kratos as more than just a god-killing rage machine. Will probably get this if the PS4 ever gets enough games that interest me (this being one of them). I also like the implications of this series, there's a chance that it might still come around to the original ending of God of War. Eventually Kratos does remain, (alone again) to preside over the wars of mankind for the rest of time. That would be sick. Also,

I never made a persönal attack ön anyöne. I never bröke any rule but they suspended me. Which is an abuse öf möd pöwers. Technically incorrect. You may inquire more details as to your case via PM (you would've been sent one explaining the reason for your ban). To the rest of it, I will say (and this is my own commentary here), wanting everyone to be welcome is not the same as enforcing it so. Near the start of my tenure I told a user "we don't moderate on feelings". It was true then and it's true now. Feelings are beyond the scope of the mod team. We moderate based on the rules. Now you can say the rules are meant to craft a space that can appeal to the majority of people, and that's pretty much common sense. Apart from the rules about illegal material which serve to keep us from getting arrested, every other rule is there to provide general appeal, by keeping away the things that would drive most people out. As with everything there's a balance that's hard to get just right- ban the things most people object to, but ban too many things and your scope gets narrower again. I rather think we got the balance down fairly well.

Is there a reason I should care more about this guy than other reviewers? Why he got so many views in just 3 days? How better he is than Geeks & Gamers people, Quartering, Talk Nerdy With me or those bigger YTers whose focus are not Star Wars but they reviewed the movies anyway? While RLM in general tend to be on the more insightful end of YT movie reviews (most of the people there seem to have actual film backgrounds), the Plinkett reviews are absolutely masterful deconstructions of the prequels and should be considered a goddamn authority on everything wrong with them (and they kind of are, in a very unofficial word of mouth sense). The other reviews aren't quite as on the nose, but they're still good. The only one that fails is The Plinkett Awakens because it was over an hour of rehash of previous material combined with a firm sucking of Disney's dick (sadly Mike got suckered by Hope Harder like the rest). The prequel reviews are so good, I wonder if they didn't have a small and indirect to be sure, but real impact on why Disney were playing it so safe and ignoring everything prequel related. The prequels have been torn apart to such a degree that they almost seem taboo to Mickey's producers, and Plinkett is the clearest symptom of that, if not part of its cause.

My point is you haven't even seen "The Last Travesty" you should have no nug in this race. Also incorrect. My "nug" is the death of Star Wars and the abominable impostor that replaced it. One shitty movie in a vacuum doesn't matter, but this isn't in a vacuum. The larger context has been present since 2014. Yep, you've said that already.

I love Star Wars, and I enjoy watching the sequel movies. Does not compute. But I don't freaking care. Oh. Ok then. I have to ask... why do you bare so much hate for something that you haven't even seen? It's been eight months... learn to let go. Implying both that disliking something need be active (and consuming), and that "letting go" means not disliking something anymore. Incorrect.

Just curiöus as tö why RLM is the önly Last Stupid Disney Wars videö yöu will watch when there are sö many better videös öut there. It's only because of Plinkett that I tolerated watching anything about the Last Travesty to begin with. I knew Mickey Wars was fucked since Hope Harder and I knew they doubled down on retard, the moment I heard the line "It's time for the Jedi to end" out of Mark Hamill's mouth in the trailer. The 2nd degree I got from my friends, and from here is enough to confirm it a hundred times over. I have no need to inspect every molecule of a mountain of shit to confirm that it is in fact, a mountain of shit, and to be avoided at all costs. I have zero interest in watching other reviews, spoofs or anything else even remotely related. Plinkett helps though. He fucks the pain away.
